I had mine yesterday and oh boy... I don't think I have ever felt so much pain in my life. I was basically crying on the table taking very deep breaths just waiting for it to be over. I'm glad other women don't feel a thing or just feel a bit uncomfortable.
I go in for mine tomorrow!!! I’m so scared, all the videos I have watched everyone says it’s horrible. I’m glad I found this video and that your experience wasn’t horrible!!
Had mine done today. I was really very anxious about it. My legs were literally shaking before the test. They gave an injection (buscopan) 30 mins prior. The procedure wasn't that painful. Insertion part is a lil uncomfortable but after that feels like usual period cramps for 5 mins. You might bleed later, so do not forget to carry a pad.
I just had my HSG this morning, and honestly it’s not as painful for me as everyone else said it would be... if you get intense cramps mine was similar to that feeling mixed with an I need to poop cramp hahaha. Once the dye was pushed it felt fine, until the right side was a little blocked, so she had to push again to flush it, once it was flushed no problems. I took 400mg of ibuprofen beforehand and I think it helped a lot. Just have to make sure you stay relaxed otherwise there’s a chance your tubes will spasm from stress
I have my first HSG scheduled next week. I’m so nervous! This is the most thorough and informative video I’ve seen, thank you so much! Also I see you’re pregnant now, congratulations 💕
I had mine yesterday and it was completely painless. Didn’t feel a thing other than the speculum. She talked me through as she was doing it and I kept waiting for the pain to come or any feeling at all but felt absolutely nothing whatsoever. Maybe my ibuprofen worked a treat beforehand! 👍 was really nervous after watching a few videos and was expecting to feel at least something but nothing! Thank god 😌
I had my hsg test yesterday, I was very scared, I took ibrufin 600 one hour before the test. I feel cramp when the dye was entered, but it was just for 1 minute or 2. U must keep your body relaxed and loose.
Thanks for the great video! I watched this video before my Sono HSG and it gave me lot of good tips and prepared me for my test. I couldn't believe the side effects I experienced after the test : ( Good news was my fallopian tubes weren't blocked. I did experience the intense cramp during the exam.
I Had It Done Today . It Hurt So Bad I Cried . My Doctor Wasn’t In There Correctly The First Time So She Had To Do The Whole Process Again .. Now She’s Telling Me To Follow Up So I Can Get Put To Sleep The Next Time . I’m So Hurt Like I’m So Scared To Do It Again .
I am about to have one done, All previous blood work normal and so was recent transvaginal and ultrasound so having this done just to make sure nothing is blocked. Thanks for sharing your experience
They couldn’t proceed with the color dye with me. The doctor told me my cervix is tilted to the left and he tried 5 times but wasn’t successful. I took a year break from trying to conceive. I was a mess mentally and as of Jan 2020 I’m ready again. Im late on my period but a few minutes ago I started spotting 😢 and here I am watching videos. I refuse to get sad and depress again. Infertility sucks but I haven’t lost my faith 🙏🏼
Girl! I think that sounds like good news! To me it sounds like there likely was some kind of blockage that just didn't need a lot to clear out. Everyone I know who did it, including me, you could see the dye going through at the same time through both tubes. Your uterus is full so it doesn't make sense that moving sideways would make it go through if it wasn't blocked. But it does make sense that it would help to go more that way if it needed to get pushed through a bit.
Hmm, now that you explained it, I guess maybe it could have been some sort of blockage. We’ll see in a couple of weeks if anything happens this cycle! I’m feeling conflicted about getting my hopes up, but it’s hard not to think about it and be hopeful. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, and I hope I don’t go crazy and start testing too early. 🙈 Hahaha!
trust me. I feel you on that big time. Since I ovulated pretty close to the test I don't have my hopes up too high this month to be honest. I'm trying to be super healthy and take care of myself really well this month so that hopefully next month it all lines up. But as always... a part of you always hopes it's "this month". This month was hard for me because this time last year I was pregnant but then miscarried early. after it happened I just assumed I would get pregnant again pretty quickly since I knew I could but obviously that wasn't the case. I know it'll happen one day and when it does it'll make all the pain and frustration worth it. Just sucks to have to go through it at all. Sending you love and prayers.
I think trying to stay healthy and taking care of yourself is a great idea. I’m going to try my best to do the same thing and give my body the best chance to get pregnant!
So after 13 months since my last miscarriage I did get pregnant the second cycle after my hsg test. Unfortunately when you've had a loss or just have been trying for a long time, a positive test also brings anxiety so just trying to have faith. Got a doctor to let me get my hcg numbers drawn so that really helped ease my mind but have to do the follow up to make sure it's rising. Really really praying that you have a successful IUI this cycle.
Hi tends....nothing to worry for hsg test. Tomorrow i was done a hsg test. Don't take little bit tensions. I am very very free now. Test is also normal. I was paid only 2500 rs in visakhapatnam. Be cool frnds.
This HSG is nothing.....I had it today only....but a good painkiller is necessary before test...then you're good to go....😊...I didn't even realize that it got finished when I was there in the room...
Hello there, I just had mine done on Monday, it was very painful but my tubes are open 🤗. It’s been two days and I am having some brown discharge did any one else have it? Some minor cramping
I've just got booked in for my first hsg scan next month! Super nervous as I suffer from extreme anxiety, I asked if I am allowed to take my husband with me in the room but the lady who booked my appointment said I will need to ask on the day! I'm fine with a smear test however i just don't want to feel so much pain like everyone is describing as hell! If it's like period cramps or smear test I'm fine with it little discomfort will do me! Please give me some reassurance! 🥵😔
The discomfort I experienced wasn’t worse than period cramps for me...but I usually get very painful period cramps. Just know that if you do experience discomfort, the test doesn’t take very long at all so the discomfort will be over soon. Good luck!
Turns out I got a pregnancy test and got a BFP!🙈 I am so so so emotional right now, and I haven’t told my husband yet, I don’t know how to surprise him!
This is not a surgery, so no anesthesia. It’s a procedure...kind of similar to a Pap smear. It’s a very quick procedure. I would recommend she take some over the counter pain medication like Tylenol or Ibuprofen before the procedure in case she does experience some discomfort.
Do you have any other tips/advice for others who may be preparing for the HSG procedure? Reply to this comment if you do!
It's painful this procedure I have to do this on 21

It's not horrible or painful... Pls do not take stress since I had my HSG last week that was not painful at all( no anaesthesia)
Please help my test is tomorrow, without anesthesia. I am very worried

Great did you provider do it for you or a radiologist center? Seems experience can also depend on who does it.
Happy to hear both tubes are clear and normal.

I did it 3 times. It was HORRIBLY PAINFUL. God help all women in the worls.
I just had my HSG test this morning. I thought I have a high pain tolerance, but it was extremely painful for me. :-( But, my tubes are both open!!
I too am going for mine next week and trying to mentally prepare myself since I’ve heard it’s very painful 😫😫

It took like 5 minutes tops but, after it was painful.

I had mind this week n the doc say my tubes are ok but i have thin endometrium lining that is preventing implementation
