I love how EastEnders has always been forward thinking, in the 90s they had gay story lines from the beginning they have had different races in the soap. Most shows in 1992 would have just had this but EastEnders did good by including Michelle asking isn't the black face a bit unusual and the guy explains it's a 500 year tradition (that had nothing to do with black people or black face), so really it could have still been left in. Was aired very recently after BLM though so makes sense it was still cut. Also there's not much in the scenes that's really important. Just watched the episode don't think it really made a big difference.
