- Plus, Sonia Jackson sings and announces she wants a trumpet. An important turning point in British cultural history. Also, Cindy worries about her affair being exposed at the pub quiz.
Originally aired on 05/10/95.
I do not own the contents of this video and am not making any profit.
Thanx for all these 1995 clips definitely in my top 3 best years of Eastenders ever.
Grant was pretty sick. He believed that drinking from the same glass as Mark would cause him to get Mark's HIV but let tiffany drink it like it didn't matter. He never really loved her.
She ended up dying as well
I have a feeling that not many ppl caught on to that, back when this episode was first aired. Seriously fucked up
Unknown _ 🤦♀️🤦♀️She was knocked down, look it up! 🙄
@@Redruby27 if it wasn't for Grant chasing her it wouldn't of happened
In my eyes he's accountable for Tiffany's death
He made her life a misery
I agree
Sonia's trumpet🎺🤣
The 90s was the Golden Age of Eastenders no doubt. Anyone notice little Sonia a singing?
@Knowtheledge Thelastdayz I agree. Early 2000s
Nah specifically between 2000 and 2005, the best
No, it's inception to the end of 1989 was the Golden Age. Nothing like it, from the actors, characters, performances, storylines, the look, the feel. The 90s did real well, and at points it maintained the standard as far as possible (certainly the early 90s), but it doesn't change the fact that it was dealt several almost insanely critical blows by having well over 70% of its characters gone before 1990 was barely underway. Even survivors like Michelle and Kathy then bowed out at a later date and by the time Sharon returned, there was barely any show left to come back to. In fact, come 2003 this show was completely and utterly dead., And deader every year since. Extinct even.
Kyach Distent I dunno i guess it's a matter of opinion, i see what you're saying, but imo i think the show truly died after 2007/8. After that the stories have just been constantly shit, crap scripts, over the top unconvincing acting, it's basically london hollyoaks now. How anyone still watches it is a wonder
@@Lava91point0 In the early 2000s it was the Slater show. Later on it was the Branning Era.
just sat thinking about how many people i knew that had affairs, they always had an "old school mate" as an alibi lol.
Loved the original Michelle she was pretty and brought a sence of realness and depth to her character her replacement actress who was brought in I'm glad she left.
Terrible decision to recast Michelle. It's hardly ever a good idea to change actors in soaps. Sometimes it can work, but certainly not with core iconic characters. Main problem was that she was nothing like Michelle. Not in her looks, her manner, nor in the way they wrote for her. They could not have done a better job of making a character who in no way resembled Michelle Fowler. At least they have kept consistency with the 407 actors who have so far played Ben Mitchell. Wooden actor wearing glasses, you've found your next Ben. It is predicted that by 2024, the planet will contain more people who have played Ben Mitchell, than who haven't.
@@97channel It hardly matters as it only reminds any of us with sense that you can't keep a show going once it loses its authenticity and individual stamp. This show died in 2003 (and was struggling badly several years before that). You can mark its death in the tiny gap of the DiMarcos getting shoved out and the Slaters being the replacements. This show is nothing. It's indistinguishable from any other programme. When barely any actors are left to prove it and there's nothing to write cos everything's been done in its history, there is nothing but its excellent (sadly long past). Time marches on-and many things cannot and just do not march with it. The term shelf-life has never been so apparent.
Well said kyach distent ,totally agree with your assessment. The show is no better than hollyoaks nowadays.
Yes. When you play such an Iconic character and they try to Recast it's very hard. In The US they had the same problem. Four Actresses played Mindy Lewis on and off from 1982-2009 on Guiding Light but the most popular was Krista Tesreau. UK Soaps are very smart in the sense they "hardly" recast and the Kids actually "Grow Up" without dealing with SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome).
@Roborav yes you did now lol🤣
little did we know then, that years later martin Fowler would get his hands on sonia's trumpet.
Sonia could have been good on the trumpet but she blew it 🤣
Arfur should have saved his winnings for his forthcoming bail

Who's the Scottish Lady talking to Michelle. I live in Canada and although I got to see Eastenders on A Detroit Affiliate courtesy of PBS, it was so many years behind. I get EastEnders now but we are Five Months behind.
That's Ruth, Mark's second wife
I never realised how pretty Susan Tully was.
I always found her pretty.
Once the new one came in

Cringe.
They could always take time off work no questions asked!!!And could always find babysitters
Michelle was hot

She still is if you've seen recent pictures of Susan Tully
I lost all respect for Michelle when she slept with Grant.
But you had respect for her when she slept with Dirty Den lol
Thats ok, we love slags
To be fair Grant was at least divorced from Sharon when Michelle slept with him, Den was a married man
