I must say I really love what you do here. I am from Uganda and we don't have lots of guitars to choose from, but your videos are information-filled. Thank you

Hi Rina, Let me say, that your videos are fantastic, I have neve seen better series for a guitar setup yet! You focus on the important things, and create compact, and very useful videos, which I think, every electric guitar player must see! God Bless You! Cheers, Viktor

Recently, after 9 years, I strongly grabbed my dusty and rusty Squire Telly with bright idea of becoming rock star again haha. Then I came around her videos about setting of Telly, which really got me into my Telly 😅. I hope she doesn’t disappoint me with promised modification series. I am really looking forward to it, Rina please.

I use sandpaper pads/nail buffers, it even removes the micro scratches.
I have used steel wool too.
It’s quite effective but the cleanup is a bit annoying.
You can also use gorgomyte or similar products(they smell like coconut) and that at least removes all corrosion.
And if you want to go the extra mile, use some autosol chrome polish, really makes them shine.
    Awesome video, Rina! 🤩

Agreed 100%ly! I'll make another video with the sandpaper approach the next time I'm polishing frets. There's already some chrome polish on my shelf, waiting to be used. :D
I've heard of gorgomyte and might try that out, too.
Thanks for your kind words! :)

Good timing. I purchased a bullet Stratocaster yesterday at a pawn shop and intend on modding it 🎸 will have a bit of a wait for parts but in the meantime I will polish the frets 🤩

That's awesome! Did you pick the tremolo or the hardtail?

@@Bandforge It’s the tremolo made in Indonesia version. The build quality for such a cheap guitar is impressive. Looking forward to seeing what mods you do.

@Jason Smith Nice! I really hope that my Dad will like his new guitar when I'm done. He wanted the looks of the white Jeff Beck signature strat.

I really hate steel wool! It's cheap, but other things work just as well or better and make far less mess. I use a set of micromesh pads (320-12000) I got on Amazon for less than ten bucks. Your tip about taping the pickups is good no matter what you use however, as the fret dust will collect there also if given a chance. Liking the channel a lot! You're very thorough, you communicate very well in what I'm guessing is not your primary language, and you obviously know what you're doing. Looking forward to the Tele mods!
