    Shannon, how about a video on how to photograph glassware without the light box reflections? Thanks for all you put out there for us. I really enjoy your content.

    Love your videos! I have collected for many years and started selling just a few years ago. (antique mall/booth). My goal for 2025 is to expand to online sales. Ruby Lane really checks all my boxes but my lack of online sales probably won't check their "approved to sell online" box.

    It’s like the Keto diet for resellers. Less Bread/Butter….more Meat! My goal for 2025 is to cross list to Mercari and possibly Etsy so videos about what sells on those platforms would be great. I sell hard goods, clothing, electronics, flatware....probably like you. I don't know what I cannot sell on those other platforms. I am 100% ebay. Other goal is to fully replace my former income. I am about 2/3 of the way there so hopefully attainable. Thanks for all the great content!

    Thank you! Looking forward to the vintage series. My 2025 goals are (1) be more selective with what I source and only acquire items with a bigger return, (2j keep up with my inventory spread sheet so I can find things when they sell and (3j source fewer clear glass items. I have too much clear glass and crystal - so much that I did my entire mantle in crystal and candles for the holidays. It gives me pleasure while it is waiting to sell. So “long tail” that I will probably decorate with it next year 🙂 Happy New Year to all🎉

      Clear glass and crystal is something I know very little about and fortunately have resisted buying too much. The one thing I haven’t 😂😂

    Happy New Year to the Pish Posh Family of resellers. We also live in a rural area but with great prices and interesting inventory opportunities due to being close to the Pax River Naval Air base. Lots of military who have lived & collected from all over the world & high paid contractors with a great high end clothing selection. I have moved in the exact opposite direction recently and am focusing on clothing. While I hate the backbreaking measuring, I find my ASP is better with clothing and turnover is so much faster. I am semi-retired, still work about 20 hrs a week as a Museum store buyer so have about 20-25 hrs to dedicate to reselling. Unlike most resellers, I am way to picky and only manage to buy & list about 25-30 pieces a week. No death pile for me, I probably should source more in 2025.

      I love how everyone handles things differently! Sounds like you have a good source of high quality clothing that moves quickly. That’s what I’d prefer lol…not my silly $25 items I pick up then take forever to sell 😂😂

    I feel like you read my mind. I am trying to not carry as many "bread and butter" clothes and I have found I like selling flatware. I am looking forward to your future videos of the steps you take to meet your goals in 2025. I just can't seem to fully motivate myself. I definitely get distracted from having too many different items.

    Happy New Year! I got a super nifty photobooth for Christmas, with lights on top and sides. My goal is to finally list my jewelry because I can get good pictures now. I'm also starting a new platform....Poshmark, where I will list them there.

    I’m retiring from my full time job in Feb. my goals are to get on a sourcing schedule and get my listings up to 500. I’ve never been above 250. I haven’t done too bad for being so small and just a hobby seller. I will likely gross $18,000 this year. I agree with clothing. I only pick up vintage that I can get $75 or more from. You can’t get clothing around here for less than $8-15 or more anyway. It also takes a long time to look through. I’m culling all my nonsellers now and will try for $25 and above items. My son just moved out so I am finally able to get a designated space to work. Another goal is to get the room set to decrease time to list and pack.

    I enjoy every video to post! Great goals for 2025. I have 2 stores, one in Montana and one in Alabama. I have each store for half a year. I use Inkfrog for my data base. My future goal would be just to have one store in Montana! Tough to do with family living in the South. Gigi

      @pishposhreselling no you probably got that one correct. The male pronunciation is how you said it. The female is like the song, The first Noel. My mom always said she wished she had spelled my name Noelle. Cracks me up. But look at you and your husband getting all organized ❤️‍🔥👩‍🌾

    We are trying to be more selective about what we are picking up.
    Clothing is so labor intensive so we are very selective about what we sell in this category.
    We have reduced the amount we bring home to resell, but we still go out the same amount of time.
    We hit the jackpot at the Goodwill bins yesterday soooooo we have a ton of new inventory but one was a trunk full of mostly new vintage sewing patterns and resort wear.
    We are backing off of plush, toys -which was my daughter’s thing but we just don’t get the traction for these categories.

    My goals are pretty much identical to yours for 2025. I’ve already started. And as far as requests, you cannot make a bad video as far as I am concerned. I always learn from you. If I have one request, it is that when you ask us to answer questions in the comments, you keep talking for a while to allow us time to comment before you end the video and I have to type my comment all over again because mine gets cut off in mid-sentence.

    • @pishposhreselling
      @pishposhreselling  18 днів тому

      Oh i didn’t realize it cuts comments off. I guess I have only ever commented after a video was over or much earlier.
      Can you hit pause and then type out the comment?

    Goals to organize better for me as well. Also, focus on getting better quality listings with higher str. I’m going to focus on taking down so many stale listings per week ❓❓❓Do you think that’s a good idea? List 5 per day and delist 10 per week?

    • @pishposhreselling

    You said that the big eye painting sold on Etsy for $75 but it ended up that the store was on vacation. Is that true of all stores on vacation mode?. I have a pair of earrings that i have a $28 offer on Ebay. I saw they sold on Etsy for $75. Real quick ,I listed the earrings on Etsy and turned down the $28 offer. I too had weaned my way off Etsy...and now I have 1 listings. Now the earrings are unsold on 2 sotes. Lol. Are SOLDS not necessarily SOLD on Etsy?

    • @pishposhreselling
      @pishposhreselling  17 днів тому

      It was how it showed on Google not on Etsy itself - it could have been me just trying to research too quickly. It wasn’t showing as available so I may have misunderstood. Once I clicked through at home I saw the shop was taking a break.

    • @theresakralik1820

      I threw those earrings on Estsy and they sold for $75....after I sold them on Ebay for $35. Dang. Nothing ever sells quickly on Etsy. Now I have a cancelation strike.

    My goal for 2025 is also to get more organized. I have stuff listed to sell on eBay spread all over my house lol. Right now I just sell on eBay, but I’ve been considering on maybe trying Etsy as well but one, would it be worth it and two, I’m not even sure how to start a store there.

    What I hate about selling clothing is, how hard it is to list. No matter how many measurements you include, they still ask for more.

      Clothing is more work on the front end, measuring and such. But shipping is a breeze 👍🏻
      Hard goods or breakables may list faster but take longer to package lol

    You may have a video to link, but why did you choose vendoo over list perfectly? Thank you!

    • @pishposhreselling
      @pishposhreselling  17 днів тому +1

      Not sure I have a specific video. I tried LP in the past…maybe just the free trial. . I think back then it opened tabs for all the listings- unless I’m thinking of another one.
      In any case, once I tried Vendoo…it just worked and made sense. They all have pros and cons. And growing pains. I think LP has put a lot of work into AI listings and I’m not interested in that.
      I liked how I could adjust my Vendoo plan based on how much I was using it.

    I'm not finished watching the video yet so you might mention this...
    What about listing a bunch of stuff in a " junk drawer lot."
    I've even seen figurines in them.
    Personally, I don't keep figurines in my junk drawer 😂
    Maybe a priority box full of stuff and then sell it as a lot.

    Sooooo......I'm pretty sure 2025 is going to be my last year of selling. This will be the year of 1099's going out for earnings over $5K so there's that. I'm just getting too old. Lifting bins to try to find an item that I can't quite remember storing is getting so hard for me and it's just me doing it all. I have anywhere from 700-800 listings so it's a lot to remember and store. I'm healthy illness wise but my spine and joints are just getting worse and worse. FOMO will be hard but I'm not going to do nearly the shopping I usually do. I need to concentrate on listing what I've got. I hate listing clothing. The photos, the measurements, the color differences, it's just a pain. Of course that means I have a huge backlog of clothing that will need to be pressed before I can list it. I may bulk lot some patterns just to get them out the door.
    Thankfully I don't have the patience to look thru racks of clothing at thrift stores anymore. I check plus sizes and men's but my time is better spent on other things. Too much Shein and Temu on the racks. I love that sculpture and it seemed very familiar to me....I may have seen it in something I read recently about Indigenous People in art.

    • @pishposhreselling
      @pishposhreselling  18 днів тому +1

      I understand!! 💛 That totally makes sense to me. If I was doing this alone - I’d tackle it completely differently I think.
      Whenever I’m pressed for time or in a really big thrift store- I always skip the clothing so I know my heart is not really in it. And yes! So. Much. SHEIN. 🤢😂
