I love how it shows two opposite things. Master Chief rising in fame and receiving military decorations, while Thel 'Vadam(who will later become the Arbiter) falls in disgrace, receiving the Mark of Shame. The writing is phenomenal.

Theres a certain charm to watching the classic cutscenes. Dont get me wrong the remaster looked amazing, but theres something about these writers back in the early 2000’s creating such a well written story with the limited graphic capabilities of the time, idk

Halo 2 was a literal masterpiece. It only falls short in relatively minor gameplay aspects, most of which are only evident in multiplayer. The story, writing and dialogue, graphics, and general vibe were second to none. If you break down Halo 2 into it's more basic components it's really nothing particularly special; but they made it so.

What i love about Halo 2 is how much lore they added to Halo 1 because in that game all we know was a few humans landing on a ring world with aliens chasing them (i don't think we or the devs knew the Covenant were a religion empire who wishes to activate the halo rings)
Back then it was just humans vs aliens, that's it

As someone who started off with Halo 2, this intro does a great job at summarizing the events of the first game in an organic way while also introducing new concepts such as what the Covenant themselves are like. You don't get all the details, but you get a pretty good sense of what's going on.

no actually that was not canon. What he was really refering to was that SGT Johnson made it out, even after he was infected, as seen in Jenkins record. Johnson is actually the only human that is immune to the flood. In Halo 3 he is the only "regular" marine that volunteers to aid MC and Arbiter in destroying the flood once in for all for that reason.
