honestly the worst part of universe mode is how clunky the menus are and how much time you need to spend in them
That is not even remotely the worst part of the universe mode. Managers are glitched out, certain stable entrances are completely unaccessible, the rivalry system is completely broken. MITB is weird.

but for me this is the third game in a row to feature a lot of options (which is a good thing) but scattered idiotically across menus and game modes.
for example i use a lot of CAWs. run out of slots, go to delete some unused CAW, can’t from Universe menu. go to deletion utility. find CAW to delete. can’t, it’s being used in universe mode. go to remove the active shows from the CAWs i want to delete. back to deletion utility. 60 seconds to delete character. goes back to main menu after. do each character 1 by 1.
or god forbid i want to browse online creations - each step requires 10 seconds of loading: have to load the page in order to pull up a search field. go to hashtags. select my hashtags. enter up to 3 hashtags. view results 24 entries at a time. 20 seconds to load each page on a bad day. 3800 pages. not to mention the comical auto censorship of online creations
or my favorite- editing player name/stats/picture? confirm every action THREE TIMES. it’s like whoever designed the UI hates us. how many menus does a wrasslin game need man
the gameplay is definitely bugged i just love universe mode and dynamic rivalries >in theory< but it’s such a mess to use in addition to the regular gameplay issues
@@MrBobbyz24facts I don’t like playing the mode because it kills my mood even when I log off the game, the game changes my card have to fix all over again. The mode needs a lot of fixes to make it even worth putting time into.
They dont care about universe mode

To me the most annoying thing about universe mode is that when you do rival actions, you have no control over the opponent, so you'll end up having akira Tozawa against Cody Rhodes or something stupid like that

If you choose Low Intensity Rivalrys, you can use every action since begining and the rivalrly continues growing, if you choose Very High Intensity directly, you can only perform Very High Intensity actions, so i recommend to start them in "Low" or "Medium"

I’m several years into Universe mode. Raw is my main show. I made SMACKDOWN a minor show. I’ve created as many 4 man factions as I can. The Heenan Family is Andre The Giant, Jake Roberts & FTR. I added Dragunov to Imperium & Bate to the Brawling Bruts. Roode, Orton’02, Arn Anderson & Dean Malenko are my Four Horsemen. I added Cedric Alexander to the New Day. I created a Wild Samoans faction with Umaga, Rikishi, Yokozuna & Samoa Joe.
I also switched Backlash to Vengeance, switched the October ple to Halloween Havoc & added the march ple as Battle Bowl.
One thing that sucks when you do a cash in in the middle of a match and win the belt, it doesn't show up in the stats.
Just what I needed because every time I play universe mode I don’t know what to do to make it fun

Universe Mode would be so much better if we had the option to create Presets for shows, rosters, tag teams etc. which we can then import into a new Universe save.
It would save so much time and effort for everyone.
I like how the concept of changing things around.
I love setting up my universe I do raw on Monday and smackdown on Friday. I don't do NXT. I do 6 matches on raw and smackdown. 1 for each champion and then 2 random matches each week
I’ve gotten like 3 years into my superstar build. Was really excited for some of the additions. But I consistently go back to “universe mode” to make my own matches. It’s fun for a few hours at a time. Thanks for these should help me get deeper into it.
MyRise IMO this year was the worst in 2k history. Hopefully those two modes can be made as one!

I’m pretty advanced on photoshop, so I love doing a fiction promotion with some custom caws from community creations and Indy wrestlers and I might poach mid card talent MLW AEW and NWA, I’m talking about hours of fun and messing around in Universe mode and Photoshop. When it comes to customization WWE 2k is what all sports games should strive to be like.
I spend more time making sure my universe is perfect to me. I enjoy the process tho also making the cpu more difficult by adjusting the sliders.

I used to do a large roster of all the wrestlers in the game and a mix of aew and old school wrestlers from cc all together but it was so many people that it got hard to follow.. i recently decided to split it up old (WWF) and current wrestlers (WWE). Two separate universes, im going to set up random wheels for each to make random match ups, set a win loss record template, and set tournaments similar to the Continental classic. Mostly using a notes app and a random wheel.
I always like to add a TV title that is assigned to both shows. After 10 successful defenses, they automatically gain a world title shot
1 thing i prefer to do is have every PPV/PLE on the last day of the month to have equal time Between PPVs
@AssembleShow Hopefully WWE 2K24 has an Universe Mode similar to the one in WWE 12, where cutscenes would happen organically and rivalries were created dynamically. That was my favorite Universe Mode!

When it comes to my fictional promotion in Universe Mode I’m like Tony Khan with the title belts 🤣
Don't forget that having a title on 2 different major shows will mess with the division of that title.
I just want someone to sit and have a playtest with the Universe Mode devs so they can show and explain to them EVERYTHING wrong with the mode or that needs adding/fixing as they dont seem to know what theyre doing otherwise 😭
In my universe mode, I am currently running 6 shows: RAW, ECW, AEW, ROH, SMACKDOWN, and a modernized WCW. Every show has about 6 championships each and every shows match card is different as well. For example, ECW has the extreme hardcore bloody matches, but ROH mainly has submission matches. I've had this universe mode for at least 6 months now and I love every minute of it 💯

You know you can get the bloodline entrance as long as you got to template and hit bloodline it give you the whole thing @assemble

The beauty of it, you can create an Universe mode that mirrors current WWE, or you can relive past eras or even do AEW, NJPW or Stardom, Community Creations helps on those. Or do like me, create your own Shows, rosters, mix WWE, AEW, NJPW, Stardom superstars, etc with fantasy CAWs created by you or the Community. Is a pretty fun mode, sadly doesn't have promos.

I am doing a Ruthless Aggression era Universe mode instead of Benoit I just have Bret Hart and he's currently in a rivary with Hbk (both are faces) for the world championship on the Smackdown brand
I also have Sting on Raw , and Tna era Aj Styles on raw in the ic title division

Is male only? Mine is a mix mash of ideas. My Raw is like NJPW, male only, while my Stardom show is female only. And my PPVs are mixed, similar to newer NJPW events, where they have IWGP Women's championship or Strong Women's championship matches aswell.

Hi Matt, thanks for this video but can you plz tell me how to bypass the bug that causes the rivalries to continue forever? The rivalry actions in the final rivalry match in PPV never works unless I simulate them. Totally kills the fun.
I believe that 2k updated the fact that u can change the trio entrance tron of the bloodline to Romans instead of we the ones by the usos !!!!!!!
2k use to take more time on the game for returns until October each year. Now it’s March which is too early.
I do things differently without using universe mode, I've created my own after dark shows (RAW, NXT, Smackdown) then I have made my own LIVE events as well, house shows and tours. I choose what feuds or rivalries that I can think of or create!
So you use the Vs mode probably, if you don't use the Universe mode. And pen and paper to recall the rivalries and results.

I use mostly Universe mode, without pen/paper for notes, I use the rivalry thingy, but I do mine, mentally. Use the weekly shows as a build up for the PPVs. And unlike him, instead of copy/paste the current WWE, I enjoy the fantasy booking side, by taking the NJPW and Stardom approach. My Monday night Raw functions similar to NJPW, being a Men's show and my friday show is World Wonder Ring Stardom being a Women's show. And for the roster of both shows, I've WWE, Impact, AEW, NJPW, Stardom, TJPW and fantasy caws superstars and tags. This allows me to create dream matches like AEW x NJPW like to do between them.

Thanks, the goal is to create the bestest promotion possible, NJPW and Stardom are becoming more popular each year and since they don't rely as much in promos for storytelling and since Universe mode doesn't have promos, I've to use a similar take to create the PPVs rivalries. And since they are mostly faction based, I can use tag, 6-man tags, superstars vs jobber (someone that isn't in a rivalry in that month) as match cards for the weekly shows. My approach is match making is similar to NJPW and Stardom approach, I think about that month PPV match and then build my weekly shows as build up to that month PPV. For titles, I use a mix of WWE, NJPW and Stardom titles. The main one, a tag one and bunch of middle card titles, one of them focusing in the young talent and rookies, since I don't have NXT show and a legacy one, basically legends vs legends and vs current roster aswell.
Is there away you can delete all the participants and add them yourself. I had to delete one by one and it was a bit time consuming.
I had to stop playing universe mode recently. No matter what I do, I'm not able to change the arena for shows. Everything always ends back up as the base Raw arena
Have you tried making them a show in the main menu screens and then adding the show to your universe

Hate the fact when i spend so much time setting up my match card , i back out of universe mode and it resets the card or removes the championship from championship matches i set up. So annoying.
I wish in superstar mode you can choose what title you want to compete for and you can view where you stand in the rankings.
Table matches not working for rivality in Universe. Is so bad. Only one and one match or two vs two.. Is possible to fix???
Could you do this for WWE 2K24, Been thinking of doing the same in 2K24.
I did a loser leaves option to and a rivalry one time but after the match and ple was done the rivalry was still there. This is why i hate universe mode sometimes 😂
Or when you injure them for weeks but you have a match with them next week on raw

I constantly do this it’s time consuming but if you want your universe mode the way you want it your right you have to go in and edit I do this for when I stream on twitch
yeah and i noticed (at least for me) for rivalries to work better all the divisions need to be correct and obviously have people fight within same division. I know that seems obvious but otherwise i find it gets all weird. Only thing i wish was better cutscene balance. too often 1 wrestler is subbed out for some random
@@AssembleShow Universe mode really has potential there’s so much more they can add to it as far as the rivalry’s go I have that turned off just so I can get the right number one contender and they won’t fight the same person at the ppv

I don't honestly like seeing the cutscene that's going to play out I personally love the unpredictability from like 2011- even 2k22 my favorite Universe Mode is 2k19

I mainly play mygm with myself in the game and a load of AEW and other current wrestlers, i like it but would more experienced players say Universe mode is better?
Depends what you want. Universe is less limited but you don't get to do things like a draft. However you can use any championships and have rosters as big as you want
This is great but honestly, the fact that WWE 2k24 is about to drop, I don’t feel like it’s even worth it to invest the time into a new or old universe mode… one of the negatives of a yearly drop for this series.
You're right, Im currently close to booking the Royal Rumble on my universe. I think I will play till Wrestlemania 40 then after that I will wait for 2k24. I hope they can add or make new features next game for Universe mode.
And how to fix Tag Teams being destroyed and random teams being created despite turning off the option in the options menu?
I have the same issue on Xbox One, Series S and PC, after every patch, deleting my universe mode, using a fresh one, still bugged

I am not sure what happened with my game. Lol, but no matter how badly I beat up my AI opponent even on easy difficulty. I am unable to win a match by pinfall. My opponent always kicks out, even with their body damage indicator fully red lol.
Why am I getting the same people fighting every show, the rivalries never end?
and don't forget to remove a title from a wrestler when changing titles from shows like i usually do and then i have roman or whomever was holding that title coming out with that title in his\her entrance lol

There should be an option to start a clean Universe, with NO pre-set allies, enemies, PPVs or shows.
Hey assemble I bought the ruthless aggression pack on PlayStation but when I load into WWE 2k23 it doesn't say "thank you for purchasing" etc. also I transferred WWE 2k23 from the PS4 to the PS5 do you think that could be the problem?
you might need to manually download the DLC so its the ps5 versions?
go in to the store and double check the downloads are there. Sometimes playstation doesn't auto download

Weird giving the title to carmella. I don't understand why she's even part of professional wrestling. She has literally no in ring ability other than doing super kicks, which doesn't take any skill, any able-bodied person can do a super kick. Go watch one of her matches, and see how few moves she actually does. It is all slaps and kicks, and maybe a face buster. No technical skill

If I create my own roster and any settings do not help me))) Having reached To Wrestlemania , it 's a mess .......This is already ridiculous. 2k19 was a much more stable Universe mode.We are trying to fulfill our fantasies, and the 2k23 wants to make our game unreal... I've tried different options 10 times and eventually idiocy happens in THE END. In real life, we move away from reality because of artificial intelligence, the same thing happens in the game.
