The anthem was intended to inspire people to rise in arms. You can NEVER change that fact. Im American and live and love the Philippines. This made me cry cry. I love the anthem, wait for flag raising and anthem when I bring my daughter to school each day. I didn't need to watch the American anthem. When charise finished I heard all I need to hear. I still love the usa but the Philippines is my home. Thats my anthem now.
I have heard a bunch of Filipino singers sung the National Anthem, but only Charice sang it the way it was supposed to be sung. Yung iba ginagawa nilang ballad, kinukulot, binabago ang tempo, nilalagyan ng growl, etc. It was beautiful actually. Kaya lang hindi yun ang tamang pagawit sa Lupang Hinirang.

I have heard a bunch of Filipino singers sung the National Anthem, but only Charice sang it the way it was supposed to be sung. Yung iba ginagawa nilang ballad, kinukulot, binabago ang tempo, nilalagyan ng growl, etc. It was beautiful actually. Kaya lang hindi yun ang tamang pagawit sa Lupang Hinirang.
