well if i were the artist that will going to have a concert in the Philippines, the first thing that im going to do is to buy my own ticket for my own concert😂😂😂
the song was released back in the late 90's and see how Filipinos love that song as well as other Corrs songs! --- all the love in the world is just one of them..
Filipinos are not going to a concert just to watch and listen to the artists, we usually go to a concert to sing along with the artists. It's our way of appreciation and connection to music, coz music is our life, and our daily mood setter.

I was part of this crowd... I literally cried when the Runaway instrumental started... After 22 yrs and here they are, seeing them with my own eyes.... And love the fact she was overwhelmed as well seeing us and listening to us that we still know their songs by heart.... It was a magical moment between the artist and their fans.... 💖💖💖
The corrs got overwhelmed and didn't expect that after 22 years when they got their first concert here we Filipinos can still remember their songs and we can still sing it from our hearts. We had a live videoke during their concert they have a big impact on us especially the 90s kids 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
FUN FACT: The last time they were in Manila was in 2001 (I was too young then) and based on their interviews after that, they still remember how Filipinos sang with them in perfect pitch. That song had been played in many weddings, valentines dates, even in karaoke, lol They knew how famous that song was. But I guess aside from the crowd singing most of their songs that night, they're more overwhelmed at how we still love them.
As an artist, that's been away from mainstream for decades and to hear that you still have a fan as big as that, it warms your heart to have them still singing your song by heart. It choked her to feel the love.
Filipino crowd can be a little bit overwhelming but trust me, we don't plan on making the artist feel that way, we're just genuinely happy to jam with the songs and with the artist we have a memories with growing up. The Corrs is one of the famous band we listened to during highschool so imagine after a decade or so you got to see them perform. I will sing my heart out really hahaha
I do think Andrea was just mindblown by witnessing such crowd. It's gesture of being grateful towards the crowd who have known their classic hits. I will surely sing my heart out too with you I was there, that's for sure 😍
I mean The Corrs is mostly played in the city of Quezon according to the Spotify stats . We have one of the band's CDs from my mother so I can say that the band is indeed part of some people's childhood in the country . And man having a Concert audience in a country where race is stereotyped to be able to sing well is awesome although I guess it can be overwhelming for the artists .
That’s how filipinos appreciates bands and singers, we really take it to our hearts when we sing their songs…. I think it is the most wonderful feeling for a band group or singers to see and hear your audience or the crowd singing with you…
The Corrs is/was so big in the Philippines just like the Cranberries (RIP Dolores) or Backstreet Boys, etc. They were like the soundtrack of our lives during the 90s (when music was so much better). That’s why the Pinoys (me included) who grew up listening to their songs are so connected. I’m sure so had goosebumps hearing the crowd sing with her. Thank you for this video 🙏.
I was there on their first night of concert last October 21st. Everyone was singing their hearts out while waiving their hand lights and dancing to their music and The Corrs loved it. Truly a fun night to remember. Andrea even said "Can I take you with us."😅
Check out their Day 2 of the concert, Andrea literally asked us, the audience to come on tour with them and see how emotional she gets while she sang Runaway. Videos are all over youtube with the crowds being shown too. :)
All through these years, we still love The Corrs and still know every words of the lyrics of their songs. If there is one thing artists need to know about Filipinos, when we love your music, we sing it with all our hearts, no matter where we are. I remember in early 2000's. My classmates and I were riding a jeepney to downtown. A song came on and we all started singing along jammin' to it. That's how much we love music and singing.

The Corrs were one of the best band in the 90s. So those singing were 90s kids. Aww I wish I was there but I found too late. But anyways, I'm pretty sure The Corrs were happy to know Filipinos never forgotten their song.
Kylie Minogue really enjoyed performing her number 1 hit song 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' back in 2011. She asked before singing it 'Are you ready?!' then replies after the song 'YES! YOU'RE READY!'. I've seen her performances in other European countries (with the exception of London). She needed to even ask the crowd to start singing. She was really pumped up singing to it back then. Kay Perry is another one. She makes it her last visit here in asia cause it's really more like a karaoke concert party.

It's got to be a real treat as an artist to have 10,000 people singing along, with harmonies, and ON KEY!😍😂 I had no idea The Corrs were touring again!! Andrea turns 50 this year and is still as sweet and sexy (and talented) as she was in the late 1990's! That's just crazy..😲
I was one in the thousands of attendees during their concert last October and man, I may not have the singing voice but I was singing at the top of my lungs all throughout!
The Corrs are famous here in the Philippines especially back in their days because of the beautiful melodies and heart felt lyrics of their songs. Idk but I think "Runaway" was so popular here because many relate to it since we have a term for it "TANAN" which is to runaway with your love one coz our parents are very strict and the only way to stay together is to actually RUNAWAY😅
I grew up listening to music by the Corrs. Their music is being used during wedding receptions here or background music. They are very popular in the Philippines and most Filipinos during the 90's know their songs.
That's how we Filipinos 🇵🇭 , we love to sing no matter what languages you sing, If we like the song we sing it whole heartedly and thats how we respect and love the Artest. Mind you the song of Corres is always present in Karaoke 🎤. The title of that song "Runaway" and the fav song of the Filipino song of the cores is breathless.
I agree. Filipinos even sing in foreign languages perfectly (english, korean, french, mandarin, etc.) If we like the song we sing no matter the language.
She did not give up because the crowd was throwing her off, she was emotional. She never expected that this large crowd still support them and know their songs by heart....do you even know how to read people?
This is normal in the Philippines, our local artists normally let the crowd sing whenever they have concerts. It's also their escape when their voices isn't that good to reach a higher pitch hahaha ✌️ 😂
For artists who aren't insecure and so full of themselves, the crowd singing with them is actually a welcome break especially when they are touring and singing nonstop everyday ... I think the Corrs here genuinely appreciated the Filipino crowd singing with them, because probably the band couldn't believe how loved their songs have been through the years by the Filipinos. It takes class, humility, grace and passion for music to behave like that as an artist. Kudos to the Corrs, the Filipino audience and the content creator for this awesome video! Always loved the Corrs. Still singing their songs in my videoke bits. 😊
Andrea Corr kept on removing and putting on her earpiece throughout the show that you start wondering if there's something wrong with her earpiece but she loved removing it to hear the crowd sing their songs! I was there on the second night!
This song and many more classics were engraved in our hearts, since the first time we heard it from the radio or CD players our parents played every morning while they're doing house chores back when we were kids. God I miss those days.
When Filipinos go to concerts, you can bet at least 95% of those people reviewed the songs of the artist. Some would even go through setlists of the countries the artist toured before they got to the Philippines.
We were there that night and we also sang with the crowd. I personally do know the song by heart and it's my favorite song to sing during karaoke sessions. I even sing it in my dreams and people hear me sing it in my sleep. 😂 😂
I really think that her reaction was more of a disbelief. It has been so many years and the crowd still know their song. Also, in the actual video you’ll see Sharon said “Wow?!” when she heard the crowd singing.
Filipinos are not going to the concert just to watch, they are there to connect with their idols, sing along and appreciate the artist, hoping that it will become a memorable moments. And also to flex the Karaoke singing skill 😅
Nostalgic song. Great pitched heart felt crowd. Damn. I would be crying and be having goosebumps the whole time. It would be amazing to be present into.
this is my cousin's karaoke go-to song, she was so appreciative when she knelt it was like "thank you for the love".you can hear how sensitive filipino ears ar, with the modulation and how they would mellow when a singer do the adlibs
Yep. Filipinos love to sing. I admit as a filipino, i do sing badly, which is rare but when i went to a concert years ago somehow my body and vocals synched with the crowd. You can actually hear the lyrics per word that the artist was singing. Filipinos don't care if your foreign or local. We will sing with you to appreciate and show our love for you.

Filipino fans will jam (starting with just singing along) with their beloved local wnd foreign artists/groups/bands. This, coming from performing in a band myself, and watching my favorite performers (especially rock bands), back in the 90's.
I have been to concerts of the big boy bands like Backstreet Boys, Boyzone and Westlife. And there was always a street party at the venue from start to finish! I always lose my voice because of non stop singing and cheering. More please.........
Bdw she was crying here for the love of all Filipino's that always supported her THIS IS THE REAL CONCERT EVER NOT JUST THE ARTIST SHOWING LOVE TO THEIR SUPPORTERS BUT SUPPORTERS SHOWED THEIR LOVE TO their artists and MUSIC AS WELL❤
It all started in those MTV days that we used to watch them on TV only.. no internet. We love all there songs and don't need to read the lyrics to sing along! It's in our hearts already.
Goosebumps! the best crowd in the world the Filipino they dont watch only to see their favorite band or singer but they do know the lyrics and sing to it!❤
You're really spot on in your insights how corrs reacted to the filipino crowd. You know why? It's because these foreign artistes don't really put the Philippines on top of their global tours. They relegate Philippines, they put off visiting Philippines until maybe 25 30 35 years of them being active in the industry. Not knowing that the Philippines is very participative, supportive, and the warmest of concert crowds. And so when they do finally come visit, they are shocked that such a country far from their uk home, are able to perfectly sing along, with beautiful tone, timbre, pitch, quality, and impeccable timing... that it elates them.
singing along is a a way for Filipinos to show love and respect to the original singer. In a country of great singers, we express our daily lives through singing and theres no better way to show gratitude to foreign singers than to sing their song from the heart.
And you know what's crazier? We, Filipinos do this in Kpop, Thai concerts too! I mean whatever foreign artist language it is, we would sing our hearts out! 😊 For those who don't understand, this is our way of showing our love and support for the artist. If we don't sing along, means we literally don't know you and the song. Sorry.. 😅
I wonder what the Corrs really felt when they noticed the crowd was singing at a Corrs' concert.and paid for tickets to come and see the Corrs sing ONE MORE TIME..I personally love them because I still still sing along whenever I hear their songs being played..
showing our culture loves artist foreign or local and most of all we love singing specially when listening in radio, watching concerts and singing in karaoke or videoke when bonding with friends and families
For me, maybe the reason she pulls her earphones out was to listen to the singing of the crowd. As you can see she pulled her earphone off again on the bridge part i guess? (Before the last chorus)
The CORSS, WESTLIFE, SPICE GIRLS, CELINE DION and some of the 80's to 90's international performer artist are VERY FAMOUS in the PHILIPPINES. That's why we love KARAOKE ❤. Specially THE CORSS is very famous here there song is the National Anthem in the KORAOKE 😂❤ before end to HIGH NOTES like WHAT KIND A FOOL By: BARBRA Streisand
Peter Cetera once said that if there is one concert crowd that will sing your songs for you that's the Filipino concert crowd. I'm sure the Corrs knew it well before the concert.
filipinos ❤ the corrs, watched them back in 2001 (day 2) then watched them again this year (day 2) ….. it’s like jamming with the band feel & a live karaoke haha
.i remember Jessi and Loco reaction when they had their concert in PH too. .they are Koreans and was surprised when Filipinos sang along with their songs. .it's cute. 😆
We sang with every singer who performed in front of us to show that we know their song by ❤. This is how we show them our admiration & acceptance to their talents.
It's like they are holding a mic and a songbook or reading the lyrics. It really happens when a Concert becomes a Karaoke. That's the spirit of the Pinoy crowd!
I think they just wanted to express themselves to sing that song, because they just love that song since early 20's, that song had.bring great empacts here in the Philippines!
I'm sure most of the crowd are so-called "batang 90s" and in our teenage, we grew up singing their songs.. and when we sing it, we are also reminiscing our past. and that's why it is full of heart.

singing along is a a way for Filipinos to show love and respect to the original singer. In a country of great singers, we express our daily lives through singing and theres no better way to show gratitude to foreign singers than to sing their song from the heart.
The Corrs is a huge hit in the Philippines
And you know what's crazier? We, Filipinos do this in Kpop, Thai concerts too! I mean whatever foreign artist language it is, we would sing our hearts out! 😊 For those who don't understand, this is our way of showing our love and support for the artist. If we don't sing along, means we literally don't know you and the song. Sorry.. 😅
Worlds most appreciative crowd! Heck just see the Air Supply, even if they'd be on wheel chairs & oxygen, the crowd would still come & watch!
Filipino went to concert not just attending the concert but out perform the Artists
The corrs band are famous in Philippines we usually sing their songs in the karaoke people love it❤
*_sharon, caroline, andrea and jim corrs siblings!! filipino loves them so much..._*
For me, maybe the reason she pulls her earphones out was to listen to the singing of the crowd. As you can see she pulled her earphone off again on the bridge part i guess? (Before the last chorus)
You've got to search for the other angle of that video. Andrea was seen crying when she was kneeling down.
The CORSS, WESTLIFE, SPICE GIRLS, CELINE DION and some of the 80's to 90's international performer artist are VERY FAMOUS in the PHILIPPINES. That's why we love KARAOKE ❤. Specially THE CORSS is very famous here there song is the National Anthem in the KORAOKE 😂❤ before end to HIGH NOTES like WHAT KIND A FOOL By: BARBRA Streisand
it is not a concert anymore.. it is a live sing along with the original artist.
Even Celine dione cried during her first and only 1 concert in the Philippines because of the crowds enthusiasm.
This made me cry. She really appreciated the Filipino audience.
Peter Cetera once said that if there is one concert crowd that will sing your songs for you that's the Filipino concert crowd. I'm sure the Corrs knew it well before the concert.
filipinos ❤ the corrs, watched them back in 2001 (day 2) then watched them again this year (day 2) ….. it’s like jamming with the band feel & a live karaoke haha
.i remember Jessi and Loco reaction when they had their concert in PH too.
.they are Koreans and was surprised when Filipinos sang along with their songs.
.it's cute. 😆
22 years, and we still got it 🥰
That's how we show that we love the artists by singing our heart out with them. ❤
We sang with every singer who performed in front of us to show that we know their song by ❤. This is how we show them our admiration & acceptance to their talents.
😁😁😁😁😁
See the 2nd night, Her tears drop while listening the crowd singing their song Runaway.
We know all the songs by heart 😅. And with correct lyrics too! Thats how much we love music!
I’m Filipino and a huge, huge fan of The Corrs! The first time i heard their music in the 90’s I was hooked .,,for life.
We love music! because we are Filipinos, and we love Corrs! 🥰🥰🥰👊🇵🇭✌️❤️💚
Yess❤❤❤
You know you made it when the audience who paid to see you perform, sings your own song to you.
I'm sure most of the crowd are so-called "batang 90s" and in our teenage, we grew up singing their songs.. and when we sing it, we are also reminiscing our past. and that's why it is full of heart.
