Say what you want about them, but I've had them for years and with solid performance. Any criticism has been earned, but they do perform and for under 100 dollars? This is a great deal for people wanting something sturdy and an entry point into watchloving. I see more people with Rolex watches that never wear them. At that point....what's the point? Watches are artwork and most importantly they're tools. They want to be used and I appreciate your reviews, sir! You understand quality, but also understand purpose.
Thank you for watching and I agree with you 1,000%. You’ve touched on why I’m not interested in Rolex, A.P., Patek, etc. I wear watches. If they stay on the dresser, they’re a ‘clock’ not a watch. Thanks for watching.
It is Invicta's 2nd best. A classic of Invicta for sure. The 1953 31290 is more refined and has larger markers. No crown guards. Fully brushed bracelet from the factory. Vintage matte insert and dial.
@@Realidealgear I reviewed it. Though I own more expensive watches, I’m keeping it. Worth its price. The bezel and crown action are more refined. Better finishing. Lots of colors, though I’d opt for the black.
These are great tool watches that you can beat on and they'll continue to perform well. I've had mine(pepsi bezel) for four years and I wear it to work every day in the St Cloud MN prison. It gets banged on bars, walls and doors all the time. The bezel is scratched up but the crystal is still completely clear. It's a tough watch that, there's no doubt. I wore a seiko monster for 15 years and I actually think the invicta pro diver is a better built watch. For the exception of the lume. The NH35 is a step up from the seiko 7S26. And if my seiko is still running fine after 15 yrs, I anticipate my invicta will do the same or better. Great review.
Absolutely agree! The movement and materials in this watch is incredible. It’s good to see watches other than digital Casios get work to work especially in the criminal justice field. I’m originally from MN and spent an inordinate amount of time hunting grouse in east central MN east of Hinkley. I don’t miss the ticks and mosquitoes though I do miss the unbelievable fall colors. Have a great week and thank you for your service in the criminal justice field.
Hi Tim. Great review. I told you before in another post I got a Grand Diver off of eBay. Love this watch. It's a boat anchor, but that's one of the things I like about it. I don't even notice the etching on the sides so I can take it or leave it. The grip on the bezel is different than yours (wider). Difficult to move, but no biggie for me. Invicta haters are usually of the mob mentality, so I don't listen to them. This is an underrated watch.
It’s a great little beater watch for the price. It’s just that the Steeldive SD1953 exists with much better specs for basically the same price (during the sales). Thanks for the great review! And yup, wear what you want. Unless it’s a counterfeit…
Thanks for watching and the comment. SteelDive puts on the market great value watches. I've enjoyed my SteelDive Willard and doubt it will leave the collection. Have a great week!
This is what I keep hearing... Don't knock them till you try them... Agree with you on the text. Its a bit much. They call their crystal a "flame fusion" crystal. From what I understand its about the same as K1 or Krysterna. I like the bezel color. It almost looks like a burgundy. Too bad the bezel action and grip is poor. You make a great point on the accuracy. I rarely wear autos for more than a few days at a time and then I go back to a Casio of some sort so it doesn't bother me either... Its a pity about the lume! This screams beater auto! On the knife side... CJRB makes some really great knifes! Kaizer too but they are a bit more pricey! Awesome video as usual Tim!
What got me into the Invicta was the quartz diver...It shocked me how good it was. I don't listen to the static on watches. Invicta is right upon there with other big name brands. I have a few CJRBs! Great steel, button locks have a great lockup, and blade movement is butter. The Kaizer in this video...I was looking for a red handled knife and this one caught my eye.

I just looked it up and I completely agree with you on its great design/looks. Wow.

Solid review of the 31290.

It’s definitely sharp looking. You really can’t beat that price!
It's a sleeper option. I didn't know that Invicta used Seiko movements until recently. That alone makes this an everyday (almost consumable) watch.

I’m with you about respecting Invicta. It’s a great company and they makes some incredible watches.
