Why the hell would he go to a mid league premiership side who will give him 6 months tops to turn their club around and sack him on a whim. I think only a top 4 premiership side could tempt him in the slightest
The obvious temptation would be a top club he could work at from Suffolk - especially Tottenham with his links there . But I can't see them looking seriously at him until he's managed a full season in the PL. There's no point in him going mid PL range because he can get there with Town at lower risk.
If we fail to win promotion, he'll be off. I think we know this. All we can hope for is that we do win promotion, or that if we don't, the compensation we're paid is eye-watering.
He said he doesn't want to keep moving his kids whilst they are in School. He won't be leaving Suffolk any time soon. He wants a settled family. He's like Bobby Robson. He knows there aren't many clubs that can give him the longevity Ipswich can.
He will not move in the short term..he is a man of honesty and integrity..he wants to bring up his family in a safe and welcoming environment. .his family are settling in and kids are getting to making friends...in ten yrs or more probably If we are going nowhere..he will probably move as kids will be teenagers and easy integrate in to newer areas..he will still only be 47..so regardless if we don't go up this year. He will be with us ..
Mark and Kieran are as honest as the day is long. Uppa the town

@STST
Exactly look at the sacking rate in the prem. you have 6 months tops as a new manager. Look at the Graham potter situation with Chelsea
@JckSwan
I don’t think McKenna is that short sighted mate

I think he’s got a 4 million release clause in his contract so if a club pay us 4 mil and agree a contract with McKenna we’re powerless.
