God that performance of Endlessly makes me cry like a baby every time
The picking Matt is doing on thoughts of a dying atheist during the second verse while singing is amazing and difficult, to be able to play that Picking pattern and sing is awesome.
Old school Muse never disappoints!
Joy and cheer, my request is here! Nice job again DH! Endlessly was a cool bonus review, thanks for doing that! I had no idea what to expect, glad to see the video held up for a good score, despite its flaws!
I agree with the audio quality having some issues, it really muffles the bass for the first song. I admit that I slept on submitting a song, got the message from you saying "submit your song for July" and may have rushed my request after watching this video nostalgically. I think I saw the running slide for the guitar solo and thought "DH may like this".
As for the second song, it's more of a pretty song that has impactful lyrics, so I wasn't sure how you'd like it because that's not generally your preference - but I guess there were enough things to like for a positive reaction.
I had this on DVD from the Absolution Tour and it definitely did not sound as compressed as that! So your right to question the video. Good combined score for a couple of average Muse songs by their standards.
This was the first song I ever heard by Muse.
both Endlessly and Citizen Erased make me cry like a baby 😖.
I hope you get to react to their new release "Kill or Be Killed" anytime soon. It is Muse at their heaviest.
You should react the globalist (live in glastonbury) from muse. It's absolutely masterpiece, three layer in one song.
It's the lyrics for ToaDA that really sells it. Musically it's nice, but the lyrics are just stellar. This live recording also kills me for Endlessly. For the most part it's good, but easily my favorite part of the studio version is when the bass kicks in at 12:25 or so, and you basically can't hear it whatsoever in this recording

Great review! I get how you feel about Endlessly, thing is (and this is my opinion) is the type of songs that need context and by that. I mean it fits the album concept and also in a concert tou would think is boring but they use slow songs very well to drop the energy a bit for the next song to hit harder, or depending of the concert, but you get my point, so yeah. Thanks once again for doing both!! Also if you liked the organ sound in the song try Megalomania Live at Albert hall that song was recorded originally with an organ of a church in England, they tricked the priest into letting them recording there and they changed the lyrics to make him believe it was some other song XD
Another powerful slow song is Invincible Live at Wembley, I think the delay used in the guitar sounds very good there.

Its okay david you don't need to apologize they are both short and fast songs. Dont worry about it. The video length is even short not like the other ones with one song video reaction.
I almost agree with you in all the scores whether its Muse or not but this time i wished if you didnt combine the two songs together because they are totally different songs. One is fast and heavy, the other one romantic and slow. So i really wished you just scored separately. Also, the second song is more complex. If you listened caferfully you can hear so many instruments and a lil bit opera-ish. And the melody is very detailed and the piano notes changes alot. I know you are not a big fan of Muse slow songs but i just want to give you my opinion about the score. 😜Its not the "trinity" 3 = 1 .. its two separate songs. Im so happy i had to see two reactions in one video we got really lucky today!! Thank you for all your efforts much appreciated 👍
P.S. I cant wait for August when you react to their new song (live) kill or be killed!!!!!
Absolution is such a great album
I still think for a first listen the songs should be CD version, not live, even though muse is great live, the quality is dependent upon the recording and audio quality of the concert.
Muse just released kill or be killed, would be cool if you reacted!!

pretty sure it's the audio. He has done a lot of shows with that guitar and it's always used for more heavier tunes, so yeah think its the audio on this one
Quite enjoy muse. Sometimes it gets a little shrill though, and I cant figure out if it's his voice at parts or screeching guitar effects and whatnot. Just sometime to me it comes across as a bit shrill or grating. Although that may have been their intention, and I'm not one to judge. In a few of their tracks though it's almost painful. Again no disrespect i quite enjoy the band.
Great reaction, it's a great song, this sound quality does not do it for this song, it's very faint on the drums aswel, the little solo sounds much better than did on there,

The sound seemed really thin on both songs. Endlessly can take it as it allowed the keys to shine but Dying athiest lost a lot of its energy
