This song always just blows me the fuck away! Even just hearing mostly one guitar here. I could write a story about all the badass aspects of the song but I'll just let it speak for itself.
Richie's left hand is brilliant but the right hand picking is amazing! the way he palms the strings for tone and the way he attacks the strings is brilliant man! this song is perfect for those techniques! AWESOME!!
Awesome the Priest added a few more great songs to their setlist for the current tour.I heard they started in Brisbane Australia with the addition of Electric Eye and Painkiller.Lucky Brisbane! We got 14 songs at soundwave (Love Bites and March of the damned were dropped) in Melbourne and Glen wasn't in the mix unfortunately.Luckily Richie your solos saved the day. Thanks for adding so much energy to the mighty Priest.
when I saw them in 2011 on the epitaph tour, as great as tipton is, when they were playing this behemoth of a song, glen looked like he was having trouble and wanting solo to end, but I know age catches up to people, he may have had a bad nightcuz he had a hard time keep up on the the sentinel as well honestly I think Richie should have played both solos in the song, glenn in sorry im bashing you your one of my favorite guitar players of all time, but I respect still for giving it your all
Grossguth Richard As you hopefully are aware by now, Glenn has full-blown Parkinson's disease and he has mostly retired from Judas Priest. Richie has taken over most/all of Glenn's solos because, at this point, Richie is essentially Priest's defacto lead guitarist, as you can basically tell just from this video.☺ Glenn is a great guitarist but it is just too hard for him to do full-on tours anymore. Andy Sneap, who produced Judas Priest's Firepower album has joined Judas Priest to fill in for the mostly retired Glenn Tipton. I believe however that Andy is focused primarily on providing the rhythm guitar parts, leaving the majority of the guitar solos in the very capable hands of Richie Faulkner. It seemed a bit disappointing that, not long after guitarist Ken Downing retired from Judas Priest, that Glenn should have been sidelined by Parkinson's the way he was but, life isn't always fair. I'm glad Richie and Andy are helping keep the Judas Priest legacy alive and well and still kicking serious ass, 45 years since their debut album Rocka Rolla was first released way back in 1974, when I was a wee lad of 13.☺ (So, yes, that makes me 58 now, for those who would prefer not doing the math on that.)
@@toddvandell85 i like how you respond to a comment 4 years after it was posted 🤣 Im fully aware of all of that. Priest is my main band. But im just bieng honest
In the Front stage..Richie, Rob and Glenn...Show this to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame..(Yeaha I see Ian Back there).. Thanks again for opening the "Firepower" Tour in Wilkes Barre, Pa. (Mohegan Sun Arena) You guys sounded great.... Looks like you will be picking up a Grammy for this.. Firepower is Top of the Charts.. Good Luck
I can understand people who loves K.K. But we can't deny that Faulkner has some unique style as well. All great guitar players in history made their legacy, and RF made his own!
My favorite band, but, finally we see some investment in LED lights, amazing how long this toured with 2D props et al. and let the music do the talking.
This audio is golden for anyone who wants to learn the rhythm to this killer track!
I wonder how it feels inside.. to have a phone call one day and hear "we'd like you to play in Judas Priest"..
It was a mail not a phone call :P
But yeah I wonder as well...
id probably hang up thinking it was my friends
@@DG-lz9ve That was exactly what Richie was thinking at first ha ha

Better tone with a cord than cordless?
Even tho it’s priest you can still hear zak and schenker coming from Ritchie
2階席の一番前で見とったわ🎵
ここでリッチー側の3列目だった!
better show when Ripper Owens was a part of the band!
3:40 becomes crazy man....
wtf happened at 1:46
5:35 the second solo is clearly heard.
because its richie playing not glenn
Who's here after the accident? Who would have thought, right
its not the normal tuning, some weirdo drop to the top g minor to the fifth
venom
0:01 YOU FUCKING TEASE
Interesting how Richie dodges the sweep pick part of his solo. No offense, the rest is right on
I noticed that too, but you don't wanna be playing exactly the same thing as the guy who came before you
SHIT...SHIT...SHIT...ROB HALFORD...????!!!!????!!!!
