He is 74 now. He was onstage 2 days ago for 3 of the easier songs to play in a row. He looks like a a 74 year old man that has a disease. I give him credit for still trying. I grew up in the 70's and this was by far one of my favorite bands back then.
What you are doing right now for Glen Tipton is about as inspirational as is the work that he does too in my honest opinion tbch with you Eric Nyenhuis
Glenn is a bonafide inspirational metal god, he has nothing left to prove but he pushes onwards and continues to do whatever he can for his fans \m/ so much love for you MR TIPTON xo
3:20 is the effects of Parkinson right there, delayed & slowing response etc. So sad to see, but the bands & especially Rob's kindness towards Glenn is so touching. Metal Gods & just the best of Men!
He's not going to unless someone develops a cure for parkinsons, but I hope he stays able to play and away from too much suffering for as long as possible
What you are saying is borderline inspirational for me but it needs to go to Glen Tipton moreso than the other people on UA-cam right now too though tbch with you Jimmy Snail
Love to see Glenn there,he always played with emotion, not just hitting the notes. Now Ritchie is playing his solos in concert with same emotion,he's going to be a rock God at some point. God bless you Glenn!
I've been a Priest fan for 40 years, and I am still blown away by each new album they put out. Their live shows have gotten better in many ways, and I have been able to introduce my sons to the Judas Priest concert experience. On their "Redeemer of Souls" tour I thought that Glenn looked frail and didn't move around as much as usual, but he still rocked the guitar like always. I was saddened by the news of his Parkinson's disease. Glenn, you are in my prayers and thoughts as you battle through your illness. I hope the love and respect from your fans helps make your fight a little easier.
I was there at the Prudential Center and they played painkiller as the final song and right as Richie did the solo i wished glen just walked out. After they finished i told my dad over hid shoulder and then all the sudden glen walks on stage and the entire room just up roared in cheer and it was absolutely fucking amazing. They could not have picked a better song to start with than Metal Gods. I will never forget that show.
Just with Glen Tipton showing up at the concert that night is a VERY AMAZING thing to happen for him because of his Parkinson's disease he's got for the rest of his life too tbch with you Lavablock
Days are not dark for metal dude. Sure it isn't being played on the radio but who cares. Some subgenres of metal will never ever make it to the mainstream but that doesn't mean it's a dark age for it.
This is the best Metal interview I have ever seen! All great questions, I did not know they weren't in the RRHOF, travesty there, WTF? Anyone who knows Judas Priest and Metal owes their very soul to Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing, Rob Halford, and Ian Hill! \m/\m/ Rock ON!
Legends! Not only because of the records sales over the years, because even in dark times for music Judas Priest carries the flag for Metal!.Glenn is such a inspiration. He battles on with his band and fans support! Rock on Glenn our fists will be in the air. PRIEST,PRIEST,PRIEST
God heal u Glen. It's so heartbreaking to see him in this shape after all those early years when he was one of the most lively n full-of-spirit guy in JP. It's so sad to see him so helpless n vulnerable. Life is cruel at times. Long Live Glen. May u live a 100 years. Stay strong Hero
I honestly hope that you'll be able to see Glen Tipton live on the stage when he's with Judas Priest again but I'm not sure that will happen for you because of his Parkinson's disease he's got for the rest of his life too though tbch with you Sergie Martynov
Why do people care about the R&R hall of fame? Priest's catalogue, live performances and fans justify them. Not some faceless industry types deciding who's great or not, based on popularity at the time.
29 JP Albums are on my Ipod Nano7 ; artist> judas priest> all songs>shuffle, all month, It's all I listen to anymore, I can't stop crying. Glenn! Thank You! Godspeed. \m/\m/
Just seeing Glenn is bringing tears to my eyes. Parkinsons is such a terrible disease...slow and merciless. I admire anyone who is fighting with determination and courage. Birmingham is proud of these METAL GODS.
Bob Halford e Judas são fantásticos, já tive a honra de de assisti-los numa turnê no Brasil, e não me arrependi de vê-los ao vivo. Long Live Rock´n Roll
Well spoken Glen Tipton, thank you sir you have been my inspiration for guitar since I was 7. We true Priest fans will always love you guys. This new album kicks ass. I absolutely love it. We have evolved and grown with you over many years. And we do feel like we are part of your family. My favorite is Dreamer Deceiver. But also victim of changes. And bloodstone ok ill stop all of them. Except when Rob left. It was just too weird without him.
that was the song i liked least. actually, that and the 2 after that to close out the album was where i hit fast forward to the start again on the walkman or car deck with search. The rest of the album is excellent and i wore out so many copies of them until i got cd and now ripped it to pc.
that is an amazing interview. the interviewer was really happy and enthusiastic by doing it, the questions were precisely prepared, the were funny moments in it and it looks like Richie, Glenn and Rob really enjoyed the conversation as well. Great work!
God bless all of you, and a special thank you to Mr Tipton, keep fighting and stay well. Millions of guitar players have been and will continue to be inspired by your playing and writing.🙏🤟🙏
Great interview showing a jenuion respect for one of the greatest Heavy Metal bands ever! It's awesome to see Judas Priest getting some recognition for a job well done. Thank you!
Gods, very humble Gods. Unbelievable! Rob is in his mid 60s and still thanks the fans like he’s just beginning. Much love and respect ✊. Thanks so much for the fantastic music. You guys have helped me through a lot of dark, as well as good times. I love ya ❤️
Absolutely love "Firepower"! It's incredible that these guys are putting out pure, face-melting heavy metal this far into their career. That's why they're the best! Long live Priest!!
Eminent job form the interviewer! It's rare to see younger journalists really showing passion and joy in the presence of metal legends. Would be cool if Maiden ever did this show as well ;)
I've been a Priest fan since the early 80s but only recently been looking at all this media available online. It's like looking at an entire family history from the early years to, I guess, what will soon be the end for the originals. So happy to be able to see the entire journey.
I am both smiling and crying at the same time. Smiling because Glenn is there, but crying because I can see how the disease is affecting him, he is sitting there and shaking and feeling very weak, it is so sad to see :(
"All over internet" is an overstatement. I have been posting it on 1 video before this and I can post whatever I want, who are you to judge? I am just saying what I am seeing and it is my opinion. Do you actually think I want to see Glenn suffer? I am not a psychopath, mind your own business. If you think it is nonsense, then it is up to you, but I can clearly see it has affected him compared to an interview I saw with him on the Redeemer Tour.
It is all good and fun sitting behind a screen saying "Drama queen" to people. Try to develop a coherent argument before you try to argue about something, oh wait you can't since you are the common keyboard warrior that has 0 brain capacity left.
It is clearly not the same, only an idiot can not tell the difference. It is a serious subject yes, but I have every right to talk about it, I am not gonna delete my comment, since you haven't taught me anything. The only thing you have taught me is that living in denial can seriously affect you as a person, thank you for that.
I saw them in Detroit on Saturday, 3/30. They were just amazing. Halford still sounds GREAT. I did miss not having Mr. Tipton, but what can you do? I hope he can return to the lineup some day. Thanks for a kick ass, in your face metal fest guys!!
My first Priest concert was the Defenders of the Faith tour. My ears rang for three days after the show, you can’t imagine how loud and what power this band has live. Halford’s voice was ear splitting!!
If Metal is a religion then im a devout follower of its. Im so proud of them. Glenn No Surrender my friend. This album bring me back to old me. Thanks for that.
Good interview. Good to see Glenn involved and active, even if he isn't on stage every night. I was at the Pru Center show and when he came on it was amazing. Looking forward to another album and tour.
All the people commenting on how hard it is to see Glenn with this illness: get over it, and show some respect. He's still Glenn Tipton, and no illness can take that away💙

He is 74 now. He was onstage 2 days ago for 3 of the easier songs to play in a row. He looks like a a 74 year old man that has a disease. I give him credit for still trying. I grew up in the 70's and this was by far one of my favorite bands back then.

Sad to see Glenn in that shape, get well mate, we will always be thankful for your work.
Jimmy snail there is no recover from parkinson...you don't get well only worse.
Even though you ARE being a VERY inspirational person yourself
Love to see Glenn there,he always played with emotion, not just hitting the notes. Now Ritchie is playing his solos in concert with same emotion,he's going to be a rock God at some point. God bless you Glenn!
Fantastic interview. Kevan did a fantastic job and I love how enthusiastic he was. Also, it's so nice seeing Glenn there, too.
This interviewer seems very young but he's doing a great job interviewing my favorite band. He's not condescending or obsequious.
Ilia Harkins Thank you Ilia!
Right on . . . nicely done Kevan.

Metal GODS. Carrying the flag through the dark days of Metal and still delivering the goods all the time, every time....See what I did there?
Thank You!
yep
Days are not dark for metal dude. Sure it isn't being played on the radio but who cares. Some subgenres of metal will never ever make it to the mainstream but that doesn't mean it's a dark age for it.
Oh boy, Glenn. So fragile.
Thanks for introducing me to the world of metal pretty much exactly 30 yrs. ago. Absolute legends.
fronthorse
Big fan since 80 or 81.
He does seem to be in better shape than a couple years ago, in the 2014 Loudwire interview he looked really ill
SlippstersVideos them and maiden are not I. There because of the mainstream losers that run the voting & the hall. It's why the hall is a joke.
Legends! Not only because of the records sales over the years, because even in dark times for music Judas Priest carries the flag for Metal!.Glenn is such a inspiration. He battles on with his band and fans support! Rock on Glenn our fists will be in the air. PRIEST,PRIEST,PRIEST

It is fine, live in your world of denial, it is gonna do you good later in life.
It is all good and fun sitting behind a screen saying "Drama queen" to people. Try to develop a coherent argument before you try to argue about something, oh wait you can't since you are the common keyboard warrior that has 0 brain capacity left.
