I'm utterly useless, so having you explain this stuff is so helpful.Genuinely-thank you. I know so many people are so savvy and on the ball,it's just knowing how and remembering to use these things. A worthwhile vlog, I love that you always take the time to explain how things work and share.
This vlog has been the most helpful with regards to the virgin miles 🥰 I have also never thought of using a flat head screwdriver to get weeds out of slabs I am totally doing this now. Another great vlog guys 🥰🏴
Great vlog, its got our family looking at air miles now. One thing we noticed, the new tesco clubcard offer for virgin 2500points requires a first autoexchange of £1.50 in clubcard vouchers, so you need to spend £150 on that new clubcard before 8th July.
Oh that a good idea paint the grate, we have one in our garden but didn't know if we were allowed to paint with it been a council sewage grate, but if we can i would paint it to go with my garden gravel stones
What a great vlog guys! Just perfect, we have spent the last few hours signing up transferring points and getting credit cards lol, thank you so much this was very useful! The plants you have are called euphorbia plants they are lovely 😊 look forward to my notification when you pop in my you tube box! 2 of my favourite guys on you tube 👍🏻
This was GREAT information! More importantly, you did an outstanding job explaining everything! Can’t wait to start earning, and planning my next trip.
Absolutely in love with your lodge so much so I am obsessed 😍 I am now looking to buy my own but want the same layout as yours but can’t find that sort on any of the for sale sites 😢 please can you tell what make and model I should be looking for pretty please 🥺
Wow guys, this was a very informative vlog. You both have such great enthusiasm for building points to get to your favourite destinations. It was amazing to see how you did this, and thank you very much for delivering this information to your subscribers. X
Your garden furniture, how you keep them so clean without putting covers on them, we had to cover ours as with rain etc they started going green & mossy so we cleaned then up & just cover them now
Hi Nick and Lee,good video again. We were interested in the air miles part, and listened very very carefully to it, I don't think I get it fully for now and will probably need to watch it again. Loads of information to digest. I do like these type of videos with tips, etc. Anyway thanks and take care. Martin and Jennifer.
I have a Virgin flight account I have had it for a few years & never really thought much about it but after looking at your vlog I thought I would check if it's still open & valid .. I have 4500 points sitting in the account ! you explained this really well & I have just connected my tesco club card up to my Virgin miles account & am definitely looking at the Virgin credit card ..
Thank you this is was great info. One question is when is the best time to get reward flights? We have several points and can’t ever manage to find flights as we’re confined to school holidays 😩Is there a date and time of day they’re released? Thank you
Wow, information overload in the best possible way😃 you two are on it with the air miles situ, hats off what a dream team, it's so great how you work it, an absolute gredit to you and so informative and thanks so much , could see how hard you worked putting that together in telling us. Fair play👍
That’s a great way of explaining for people! What cruise line are you sailing? Taking the family on our first cruise sailing on Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas at the end of the summer!
Great tips on the video you mentioned your heading on a cruise to France and Spain we are heading to France and Spain on the anthemof the seas in a few weeks could we be on the same cruise?
Great effort thanks for all the info. Just one thing when using the curve card. Aren’t you always better using the euro/dollar etc rate instead of converting to pounds? I recently used my starling account in Barcelona and always got a better rate selecting to pay in euros
Quick question about claiming the “miles” gents. Can I have 1 flying club account and claim the miles for all 4 of us travelling via 1 account? Thanks for the info.
Wish I knew about this card before. Flying from good old Donny 31st July to Orlando with tui premium. The crumb mix on the cauliflower ,was the packet from Tesco? thinking of doing same but with chicken. And one more thing tried to book restraunt. Space 2020 found it impossible always booked up.
Have you guys ever tried evaporated milk as your cream? I use it more than half/half because it just tastes creamier. The first time I tried it in my black tea it was like the Halleluiah chorus from Beethoven. In my coffee it was almost better than an orgasm. It is also cheaper and probably less fat since it's regular milk, just evaporated. Cream has more milk fat. Just try it. Also, check amazon for the plastic flowers that look real. They have tons and look EXTREMELY realistic.
Had no idea I could claim miles from our flights in April, thank you! Just wondering how do you use your points for an upgrade? Can you do that at the airport?
Do you both earn points on the same flying club membership or have got separate accounts? I've recently hit 15,000 but should my Wife be collecting points or am I able to use my points for her too? Hope that makes sense. Keep up the good work guys ✌️
This is so helpful!!!! Thank you for explaining, I think that's so kind to share it saving everyone so much money. Thank you guys. I just wondered can you use points towards/ for car hire or is it only flights only? Thank you xx
Great information thanks , could I ask how long can you build your points up before I have to use them . Also day if I had 75,000 points just in my name can I still book 3 seats on plane for free ? Thanks
Lol leigh face when nick is explaining the points & airmiles, he got that look as if he a kids that bored in a class room 🤣🤣🤣🤣 just comical to watch his face 🤣🤣❤️
Great video and very informative. I’ve applied for a credit card but when looking into the Curve card it wanted £4.99 per month. Must have misunderstood as I thought it was free?
Love this vlog guys. Thank you. We collect avios, but live in the northeast and get what you say about living in the north. Can I ask how you look for seats that can be used on the plane? Do virgin allocate so many per flight that need booking way in advance? We have the girls so need to book during school holidays, which can make it a little more difficult.
Do you both have a flying club account each or can you share a account? Just wondering as we have a virgin flight booked for a family of 5 so do I need to set up accounts for each person?
Just a thought. If you get points for spending on the Virgin card, can you theoretically go to a cashpoint, take out the £200 on curve and then put the money back in the bank to get the points?
Hi guys, great vlog! Can I ask, My husband had a flying club account which he has never used. We have a family holiday booked to Florida can we all use his virgin flying club account to get points or do we all have to have our own accounts.
This is a great vlog! I never thought about this sort of stuff before and with prices going up so much, ever penny counts now, thanks for this it will be so helpful for everyone x
Gardening with a screwdriver ??? Love your blogs guys Cynthia my husband and I are off on the Anthem of the seas. In June 2023. Rather a long time to wait but we are watching blogs to find out things
Great video - made me realise using the free virgin credit card as i’m doing currently probably isn’t the most effective for earning miles. Do you know is it possible to pay the fee and upgrade my free credit card to a reward+ one or would this be a brand new application?
Wow I never knew this about shops away so annoyed we have just booked through Walt Disney world website on Monday just gone, could of claimed the points. & we booked Disneyland Paris for September coming could of got those points as well. Definitely be using this every week for my sainsburys shop thanks for the tip! We currently have 54,000 points looking to get free return flights next April.
I tend to use our Virgin points for upgrades as the point flights are not on all flights so can be difficult to get if you don't have flexibility of dates. Have you thought of getting a US bank account which makes it easier over there, I transfer money to it when the exchange rate is good.
Just sat in MCO, waiting for my flight home sadly. Only 11 weeks until we get back fortunately. Just wondering with that Virgin card do either of them charge interest with the way you treat them? In terms of instantly paying them off?
The Morrisons offer is for new people, if you have used shops away before it won’t let you have that deal. I looked the other day and saw it, but I wasn’t logged in, when I logged in I couldn’t then have the Morrisons offer.
We've been twice full disney resort all the parks. Going again this year hopefully . Universal and florida. And we get comments " how do you afford it?" " you going again?" . I've got to admit it gets on my nerves. We save bloomin hard to go. We don't earn alot but we cut back and save. Plus I look for cheapest deal . This year we've saved a couple of thousand by doing a stop over connection. Not looking forward to it but we have to go in summer hols now so I'll take the cheaper option if it means going.
No ones business how anyone pays for thier own things in life we agree. Concentrate on your own finances instead of other people's..... But we wanted to share the points tips so thought we would discuss that and hopefully it will help some people ❤️✈️
@@TheLodgeGuys my apologies. You did say it in the vlog. I've ordered my credit card. I'm gonna see how I get on with this. Enjoy the rest of your weekend ✌️
Thankyou so much guys this information is invaluable to me as I really try to collect miles(points) as much as we can but I will have to watch this quite a few times to collect all the information haha .. Thankyou for your vlogs guys we are trying to get through them all 🤩😃
You guys must live about five miles from me.. That garden centre is just up the road from me in Hull. I wonder, do you live at the cabin site near Leven? Small world, been watching for months and just realised HOW close you actually are. Thanks for all the advice, we are looking to take our little girl to Disney next year hopefully! Signed up to the Virgin site today, will start collecting points, ironic thing Im sure I got tons of them when I got my mortgage through Virgin! :D
So in theory, if you both got a paid for Virgin credit card each and a curve card each, you could max out each of your credit limits on the Virgin credit card once, pay off each other's credit card using your curve cards at the end of each month and get the maximum amount of miles each month and do it indefinitely using the same credit every time. In effect you'd never pay it off, it would just be going back and forwards earning maximum points every month?
Bit late to the party but apparently you can also do a virgin points booster on past and future flights. Usually have to pay to do so (I was quoted £69 to buy ~6900 points which is a steal.
With the curve part about paying your credit card off with another credit card I’ve just had a look at that part is there a 1.5% fee on curve for doing this ?
I feel like I could as Nick anything and he would know the answer! He is really good about explaining things, especially these Virgin points, I wasn't really aware about them before now. Definitely a good way to collect points :)

no we have enough points without needing to boost them
Those cruise to france & Spain, find out if you can take mobility scooters on this cruise, & any excursions allow mobility scooters
Been excited for this one
Brilliant vlog. Thanks so much for all the info about Virgin points. Were due to go in September so I'm definitely going to check it out! Cheers guys!

Free flights is a bit misleading, you still have to pay the tax. Which is hundreds per flight
no tax on most flights returning from USA to UK

not on the free card you'd need the top tier card for that
@@TheLodgeGuys so you need to get the one that costs £14.99 a month to be able to pay one credit card off with another without being charged a fee
yes and there is a tie in and limits so when you work out what you'd gain in points it's not worth the cost over the min term

depends if your mortgage allows cc as a form of payment I doubt it though
