Straight pool is a great game, so yes. It requires planning, shot making and pattern play towards the end of each rack. Yes the table is dry. Low humidity. And I have no clue what Earls table at home is like but I believe he lives in PA or New York so humidity is typical in the northeast. And Ralph is 52 years opd

What exactly is a "flanged" pocket? Are they cut at a wider angle? I have a 1975 GCII with excellent origonal rubber. If you shoot down the rail into a corner with any power, forget it. Lol.
Remember when Earl never missed a call on a shot? This is the earl I was expecting from day 1, literally blowing himself over top of the actual game, what is this, the 2nd or 3rd time he's told us his height and weight? This went from the best analysis in the game to basically Earl ranting about how cool he is and how great straight pool is. I hope he gets back to the games soon smdh
Can someone update me on earl’s career? Is he retired? I noticed he didn’t play at the world 9 ball championship and I was disappointed. When I was growing up he was what made the game worth watching. The game needs characters like earl. There’s too many robots. Not just in pool, in snooker too.
I feel that these predator babies have made pool so stuck up and robotic while old school players (including early 2000s) they played loose, had personality, and just played for the passion.
Earl....obviously you're one of the best, with TONS of knowledge. Don't you get tired of saying the same thing EVERY time you commentate....that you're 6' and 165# and 60 years old and you love straight pool? We do!!
