Awesome job! That sea salt is such an awesome technique on regular models. Didn't even think to do it with RC bodies, But i'm no pro painter either lol. Awesome job!! * it blows my mind that it's 2021 and these big companies are still not pre cutting decals!!!
Literally just bought this body for my drag slash and went on you tube to learn how to paint it! I was all set to paint the outside with John Deere green from work! Boy did I pump the brakes fast on that!
Thank you I've watched a couple of dozen how to videos on doing patina. You were recommended to watch and WOW you've explained it so even a complete novice like myself can understand the process of using water n salt so once again many thanks you've made my day 👍👍👍👍
I had no idea this was your paint guy Mark!!! When I was doing research for how to paint rc bodies, I came across his channel. Very informative! That C10 is going to look killer!!
Texas Oatmeal , thank you for making this video! I didn’t watch any other videos about how to do patina on rc but yours. Your video was clear and easy to follow. I just finished my 1st one over the weekend and I looks great thanks to your video. New subscriber👍🏼
I just got into airbrushing and airbrushing RC bodies, I completed a stampede body where I used a paint brush to do the wood bed. I had never done wood grain but it turned out awesome.
Great video bro!!! thank you for sharing your talents!!! Those body's are sick man 🔥 I use to paint these as well but over 10 years ago. After watching your video, I couldn't wait to go to poorboy raceway in SO Oregon to pick up a C10 body for my Traxxas revo 3.3 whoo hoo!!! Proline listen to the man and die-cut those stickers!!!!
hey sorry to ask this might be a dumb thing to ask i have just started painting i am getting better to what i want to ask is about the liquid mask film you said it makes a mess in shop but i was wanting to know how an what to thin it down with to spray thu my airbrush an can i spray it out side hope it not a dumb question i love your work i got a lot of questions but one at a time thank
That is very very clever and very cool. Thanks for the first RC body video with the liquid mask very good tried flames on a body similar to this one my first attempt and it came out so cool. Would love to know how you did the wood affect on bed of the truck cause that looks soo cool.
I was expecting some some actual patina, like copper or bronze that might look like rust. Good technique though! First time I've seen it done on the inside.
You probably shouldn't have said that you were doing this for a living, because I expected a much better result. Don't get me wrong, its cool, and using the salt is interesting, but man... I've seen much better looking bodies out there from just random people doing that in their spare time. The 3 wheeler in the back and the 2 other bodies on the other hand look really good.

Now I have to try it.

Nice Patina work, and from the inside at that.... Different but nice
Turned out real nice, like that you did it on inside of body most do it on outside.
Perfect, just what I needed to see and confirm the process. Now to actually try it on my Legends body.

Turned out awesome, I have never tried this kind of paint job before so some good tips. Not sure I will do this much but it's nice to know how.

Love the look. What was your method to getting more of a flat look on the roof of the jeep?
Flat clear coat on the outside of the body
Wow....great job man. Subbed 👍
Looks good do you trim the bodies after your done painting them and I agree with you about prolines decals I don't understand why they don't do that
Yep...I trim all of it when the paint is finished curing
I'll be trying this thanks for the tips
Beautiful the rc body 🥰

Hola cómo le diste el brillo a la carrocería ? Está increíble bro
My favorite rc shop was A-1 hobby in mesquite Tx
Another great video, thank you so much for sharing your tips!
Looks good. The problem I see with most RC patina paint jobs is ppl tend to over do it with the rust and paint deterioration
Awww maaan! That looks awesome! 😍

Hey I was wonder if you would be able to do a a ford gt body like stradmans it is white with purple stripes or a heritage Edition
Sure, send me a message on Facebook or Instagram @CelphDesigns
Could you wash the body in water to dissolve all of the salt??
Dude that is a hell of a killer job going to have to have you do bodies for us
Hey man just wondering if how I get in touch with you to paint up a body
Pretty cool but, I don't understand. It has a matt exterior finish but then at 22:00 it's gloss.
Peeled the overspray film off
Those are sick looking RC bodies. What would it take to have you paint some bodies?
Awesome job, subbed! Are you thinning the Createx paints, if so what ratio? Also, what pressure do you use? Thanks!
I think as needed. From bottle to bottle it varies. Not sure how much since they are always different. I run about 45psi most of the time
I JUST bought a c10 body, this is my first rc car I need to paint.. id love to have one just like this.. can you message me with a price?

I've done it in copper as well, customer just didn't want that look. Exactly the same method of course with different colors.

Awesome. Skipped part on roof. You painted chrome. Then black. How did it turn out white? Or did you do the white on roof then black over that?
