I trust your knowledge on Guinness, watching these vids really does make me feel like I’m out rating guiness with mates and enjoying a great craic, I also think the videos and editing is put together so bloody well, and the bloopers at the end was just a perfect finish. @@theguinnesseurs do it. Liverpool is one of the few cities in England with more better pints than bad ones. There's a good few more pubs I could recommend if yas decide to go back.

Shenanigans is the best Guinness in Liverpool. Peter Cav’s is our local though. Love the place. Proper pub, but the drinks aren’t great there in my opinion… great place to be on its day though. Good prices above all else!
The saying "piss poor" comes from a few hundred years ago when if you never had work your family would have a pot to all urinate in and sell to the tanners that tan hides for leather. Then their where some families so hard up and couldnt afford the pot then you "wouldnt have a pot to piss in"
The Crown reminds me of when I was 11 yrs old collecting beer mats with my 2 mates and got held up in the side doorway by 3 yobs holding pen knives up to our throats and stealing our bus fare home to Kirkby.
So, the owner really knows his Guinness, but lets his bar staff tap the glass several times to get rid of the bubbles??????? F8cking hell lads, that's not right!! When he taps it, it speeds-up the settling process which is why you were left with 2 shite heads on your pints. How could you possibly give that the best score of the night?
Very valid point David! We’d never seen anyone ever tap the glass like that before and were dubious ourselves, but didn’t want to call it out without tasting first. There was a decent dome on the pint and the head was JUST within the generally accepted size range 15-20mm. But you’re bang on there, the tapping will have definitely affected the settling process. Regardless of this the pint was still the creamiest of the day and one of few which wasn’t “Extra Cold” which is sadly the norm for the majority of pubs in the UK. Would be interested in returning there for a non-“tapped” pint to compare! Happy drinking and Slàinte 🍺
I worked in Thaithebarn street for 40 years we went to all the pubs like the lion,Railway ect but this pub was a too close to the rough area so never went.The real name is the rising sun.Irishifaction of Liverpool pubs is disapointing but if you told me this pub would be famouse in the 80s I would have laughaed.

If you go back to Liverpool then "The Dispensary" is worth a shout. Easily top 5 for a pint of Guinness in my opinion
