$250 ? I would look to the used market before buying for any pedals . The New retail market is fucking crazy . Not everyone lives in London , NY or LA and has a $100k year job taking pictures for rare frogs !!! GTFOH !!!
Gotta say, regardless of how they sound, they're way bigger than they need to be. Anyone struggling with space on their board (so...all of us?) isn't going to be too keen on these surely. Just my opinion.
No, I don't know what you mean by the "contour knob". I wish you would have demonstrated it in several different positions. I am trying to figure out how a contour control differs from a "mid control. I've watched you religiously for many, many years and I am always informed and entertained by your rig reviews and know you to be a great player. This video is maddening, especially when you play the LP through the Bluesbreaker... you never opened up on it with the bridge pickup. Just goofed around with the neck pickup. This is unlike you. You are always very thorough. Well, I know I'll get any angry responses, but I really wanted to know a few things you hit on but did not explain. How is a contour knob different than a middle knob? What does a Bluesbreaker sound like when cranked through a bridge pickup hard?- Like you did with. the other pedals? Thank you if you do respond.. seriously. But I know you are very busy and get it if you don't. Again, not trying to be nasty, I respect you very much. - SJB
My drive master just came in today and in the instructions they state they updated the drive and tone circuit so it is different from the governor although they stated in the instructions, it based of the governor pedal but it is not the same circuit so take it from someone who bought one and that's what they state in the instruction manual. I was disappointed because until it came to my door I was under the same influence. I had the governor on a waiting list since June and now they tell me it won't be in until next year, so under the influence of them being the same, I was disappointed when the instructions stated they have made changes to the drive circuit and the tone circuit, I said to my self, a reissue pedal should be the same as the original. The master drive still is awesome but I can't compare it to the governor because it never was in stock. Reading that they changed this in the reissue made me disappointed in Marshall but the drive master still Is a killer pedal. Don't call it a reissue if it is changed.
Kinda somewhat a rigged demo simply because John's a player and can make anything sound good.😁 Give those pedals to a kid who learned Smoke On the Water only yesterday and see how they sound. Although admittedly, this was far more entertaining!😂

Love Marshall.
“The sound of ROCK” !
🤘🏽🎸
Thanks for the Demo guys, love the riffs🤘🖤
BluesBreaker suits John the most, but also liked hearing him play through the ShredMaster.
I would say the BluesBreaker and The Guv'nor and a Les Paul sound good, but that's just me
Forget the pedals, LOVE your playing, and style John!!!!
This is the finest gear demo I’ve seen in UA-cam ‼️. Thank you 😍🎸🔥
Honest question: If not for John Mayer would they ever have rereleased these? It just seems like anything he touches becomes like gold basically.

In Birmingham we love the Gov'nor'...Boo Boo Boo...Great pedal...
Missed the entire higher gain sweet spot of the Bluesbreaker. 😢
John rules.
Hells bells!

What type of V-8 motor to put in your muscle car rig ?

Does that Les Paul have a "B-Bender" in it???

I thought the Guv Nor and the Drivemaster are the same pedal?? Did they change the circuit?
I thought that also, just an effectsloop on the guv'nor and not on the drivemaster.

Next time do your homework! The Guv'nor and the Drive Master are identical pedals - they have been right from the beginning!
The circuits are identical but as a whole they aren't identical as the guv'nor has the effects loop😮
Read the description, it says that the DriveMaster is based on the Guv'nor
Next time try not to be a douche, please!
Sometimes being right is worth a pile of beans.
If they are identical why do they look different? Huh? Huh? And why do they have a different name? Not so smart now are you? I am so smart! S-M-R-T!
You are a bad man! I'm sitting here thinking the perfect outtro would be You Shook Me and bam, there it was. Respect...
Nice demo John! Nice hair too! ;-)
