I think the 3020T compares to the stihl 131. They are both $500. I recently bought an echo srm-225. It is a waste of money to me had trouble trimming stuff I trimmed less than 2 weeks ago. Echo corp told me too bad if I don’t like it that’s my problem go take it up with the dealer. The dealer is willing to help me.
@@heathalford4721 Unfortunate you had that experience. I have been totally pleased with Echo products. As far as the trimmers and blowers, go, at least for me, Stihl has been a disappointment. I guess lemons appear ever now and then.
Recently got the 3020t and it rips it does balance out nice. Also have fs 240 and i like it seems little heavier but it has more than enough power.Bought the echo just to try one out and i really like it. good day

@The Donn I own the 3020 and the 2620. I am beyond pleased with both of them.I maintain 10 acres, and I have used the 2620 for about 5 years, and it is flawless! It cuts way above it's price point. I would put it against a Stihl or Husky any day!
Good vid. My property in north central Tennessee looks very similar to yours, and I've been comparing the Still FS111 to the Echo in your vid and think I'm going with the Echo. Would've liked to seen brush cutter attachment in action, as I will be fighting off mostly Multiflora and hardwood starts around a foot tall...............EVERYWHERE! lol.
Thanks for watching and your question. I can't speak highly enough about this particular model. I would go check it out. Make sure it has good compression, starts easily, and idles well. Also make sure that the cutter head is in really good shape and not all torn up. If all that is good, I think you've found a good one.
Mr. Bradley thanks for the video. How do you feel about the extra weight of the 3020T. It is only a couple of pounds versus the 2620T but some have have said they notice it after a couple of hours work. What do you think of the vibration of the larger model vs. the 2620T. My big reason for liking Echo over Stihl and husqvarna is that they use Walbro carburetors that are cheaper in price but are just as effective. In fact sometimes walbro carb kits are cheaper than the Echo dealer. Since Stihl ownes Zama carburetors they charge a huge premium for their carbs and kits. On my old Echo srm200DA (40 years old) you could buy a Walbro carb on the Walbro site (and many dealers) that Echo says are obsolete and are therefore not selling them. I am currently debating buying an ignition coil for my old trimmer from a guy that claims he has new old stock but wants $100 for it. Please let me know your opinion on the vibration and tiring effect of the 3020T vs 2620T if you have time. As you probably know Chicanic does a lot of money saving tips since she is a Echo dealer including buying Walbro carb kits for her customers vs Echo brand. Thanks for your time.
Thank you for demo I just bought a 3020T also The sales men told to use premix fuel 50:1 is specially for Echo Trimmer just want know what is your opinion on fuel.
Thanks for watching and your comment! I run 40 : 1 in all of my two cycle equipment. I use ethanol free gas mixed with Amsoil, and I have never had a problem with any piece of equipment for decades. Stay tuned, I will be posting a video shortly on using the 3020 with a brush blade.
Thanks for watching and your comment! That's actually a native violet that pretty much forms a ground cover in our wooded areas. The botanical name is Viola hederacea. The flowers appear in springtime, and can be anywhere from white to pink to bluish purple. It's a really hearty little plant, and it totally doesn't mind getting weed whacked almost to the ground. It will pop back up in the matter of a few weeks.

It's funny you mention that.... They had one at the dealer when I was checking them all out. It's very impressive! But, for the additional cost and weight, I just didn't think I would get my value out of it based on my projected usage. Nonetheless, for the right application, it's a total beast. Practically broke my wrist when I revved it up!
Thanks for watching and your comment! I mentioned to another subscriber that I was very tempted, but with the added cost, weight, and my frequency of usage, I just couldn't pull the trigger on it. I got a chance to test it out of the dealership, and it is beyond impressive!
Great demo video. Very much appreciated!
Thanks for this review, excellent job! I'm about to order one and was hoping a regular guy had an honest review.
Thanks so much for watching and your comment! It means a lot! You will definitely not be disappointed with the Echo!
Best video reviewing that 3020!!! Thanks
Thank you, kind sir!!!!

Do you know what size blades will fit the 3020t trimmer with the added brush conversion kit? 8inch, 9 inch, or 10 inch?
8" for the forestry blade, and 10" for the brush blade.
