Sonja Kristina is so hauntingly beautiful jammed with this band in the 70's but had no idea just how she was so vital to the band till now! Immortalized right here forever! very underrated band and singer
I love prog rock, but I never got into curved air. My father fell back into love with them on his last years of life. Just trying to connect with him. I lost him June 11th 2021. Fuck I miss you so much. You had an impact on me like no other father I know. I'm the real lucky man!

The whole "Phantasmagoria" album is awesome. Even after all these years it still stands up as a great piece of work. Something I like to point out, that bass on this song is totally off the hook.

There's some yo-yo in this thread claiming that it's a man posing as Sonja on this track. That's complete rubbish. The bass player is my best and oldest friend Mike Wedgwood, who well remembers this session for German TV. I know Sonja well and she's a lovely lass with a pure voice. The line-up on the album is Sonja, Mike, Darryl Way, Frank Monkman and Florian Pilkington-Miksa. By the way, it was Flo's 69th birthday on the 3rd June. Mike also plays bass and keys on both of my daughter's beautiful albums. See "On my Own" and "Keeping on" by Isobel Thatcher. A man, indeed.
Ridiculous. I roadied for them around 74/75 when Stewart Copeland was in. One night I got into some fisty-cuffs onstage with Daryl and promptly quit. Fantastic band.
When this album was released, no invisible headphones. People you would see in stores and on sidewalks across the world really WERE talking to themselves.
I love this early 70s 'Teacher Rock' lol the same energy you got on those Schools and Colleges kids shows of the same time.. I could definitely see Sonja Kristina making paper planes or something 😁
Sorry to all but I've never heard this CA track before. This must be the coolest song and greatest relaxed performance from Sonja ive ever seen. Absolutely brilliant. Those days will never come again. Don't forget this would have been recorded on film, way before the concept of a pop video and it stiil stands up well. God bless the 70's and may they rest in peace.
24. júna 1935 v Colfaxe v Californii, priekopníka minimalistickej hudby v ktorého kompozícii In C Monkman hral počas koncertu v Londýne. Only in the 70s was it even possible to wear a yellow ochre shirt under a brown tanktop! My greatest fear is that 70s sartorial style will return 😱 the music and times were great but those clothes!
I still have this as a flexi disc free with New Musical Express - the A side being snippets from the Exile On Main Street Rolling Stones album.3rd track was by Fanny - yes,a girl band!
