Another great instructional vid Pat thx very much! 👍. Oh course you make it look a lot easier than it really is (like anyone who's really good at something 😊) but at least I know what I'm 'supposed' to do, lol.
Pat, any chance you can do some more videos on learning to balance on the back wheel? And to hop and hold on rear tyre, finding it mega difficult, just wondering if there is any other ways to approach the learning and practice. Im really struggling. Thanks 👍
Well I tried this today and almost landed on my head. Note to self, be sure the rear tire is almost at the top of the log and you are going *slow* before pulling in the clutch. I pulled in the clutch, probably too far, and the bike stopped but I didn't! I need more practice to get the bike to have just enough speed to get up the log but not too much that it will keep going if the clutch is pulled a little.
im 13 years old and been riding my own bike since i was 5 and this should be really helpful with log hops and rocky sections just don't know how well my bike is worthy for most things i ride a yz 85
Great, precise teaching... so fun to watch your Smagic. Nice extra credit footwork at 1:43
Thanks for the videos. Keep them coming! Can't wait to try this. You make it look so simple.
Thank you for taking the time to do these videos they are helping me learn and have fun.

we need a collaboration video with you and Sam Pilgrim in the future. Bikes and trails!! would be the dream
Pat and Sam - game of BIKE!
They could sure teach each other something. I’d watch that.
That would be awesome, he could school me on all kinds of bikes haha
@@PatSmage he’s been getting into trails, I believe he’s been watching your tutorial videos
Great vid as usual pat
Awesome thanks for sharing!
What gear would you say is suitable to practice these techniques?
I watch these videos broke down in to simple steps and watch this guy make it look easy. Then I go out to try do it for hours and can't do shit. 😆
More hours!
Step one, static balance
2 years later...
Thank you, Pat!

Thanks for the video. What tire pressures are you using ?
Probably 4 on the back maby 6 on the front if not 3 on the back
Psi
I usually start at 5psi rear 7psi front but it depends on conditions.
@@PatSmage Thanks Pat.
