- What I thought was just a solid delay pedal release from IK Multimedia / Amplitube, turns out to have to extra features that make it worth serious consideration for both live pedalboards and studio work.
Thanks to IK Multimedia for sending this pedal to me to try. I'm not being paid by them and they've had no input whatsoever in the making of this video. In fact I think they they thought I'd forgotten about it.
Very good vidéo, thx from France
My pleasure my treasure
"The other ones you never use"
Goes on to list the only ones that I use
Ha! I knew there would be someone!
I was concerned with the Pitch delay quality until I discovered that the "Out of Box" Pitch Presets are not fine tuned to eliminate artifacts. By adjusting both the "Filter" settings counterclockwise of each of the 3 possible pitches and the "EQ Gain" in the preferred minus dB range and "EQ Freq" (usually down towards 200Hz) much better pitch effects are possible. Experiment with "Perfect 5ths" (7 semitones) for Pitch 1, 2 and 3 and it ought to sound much more solid with the above tweaks.
This is really useful info. Underrated comment. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Jon, I like so much your TONE and X-Time videos and you're the main reason I bought both - they are really impressive. Let me ask a question: You said you were Tap junkie - I suppose then, you probably haven't tried midi sync. S maybe not a right question on you: When I synced my DAW and X-Time, I heard annoying artifacts in repeating delays. In case you tried midi sync -have you encountered such a strange behavior? Thank you and I'm looking forward to watching your next (professionally made!!) videos.
Glad to help! Firstly, I only really use tap tempo live. In the studio for tempo-based effects I'l usually do that in the DAW. I haven't tried MIDI sync with the X-Time but I would reach out to IK in case they can help..
Thank you for the review! Sorry if you said this, but is it possible to save your settings as user presets, and if so are they easy to recall?
Many thanks for your time
Absolutely, you can save your presets!
I hope you won't stop making videos.
Thank you for the encouragement
