We all know what we need! A video dedicated to Morley.. like history and stuff :D c'mon Josh! You and Your amazing team are the ones who are capable to pull it off!
Props to Addison for giving away a shirt to the guy who was insulting you. Kindness is always the best answer to negativity. Also, the guy playing bass (Driller?) was killing it as was the rest of the band. Well done.
Thanks for the Edge masterclass on that last jam. "Take the piss out" is British slang for taking someone's ego down a notch, and as Josh's playing here is so exceptional, I have to think the comment was highly positive. These jams are more inventive than 90% of the bands putting out music today. Good on ya, Josh, as Bono would say.
Also because he was being so lovable friendly and positive people said he was ‘giving the piss’ in his reaction. See also giving a t-shirt to a hater. It’s a very midwest-America way to approach conflict. People get annoyed at midwesterners for being ‘too nice.’ And i often think, ‘sucks to be them.’
Fun Morley Fact: The name Morley started as a joke. One of the founders of the company, Ray created a device that was similar to a Leslie speaker, but he stated his was superior. Less-lie was what they called their speaker, so he called his More-lie and it stuck.
@@STRATMAN1969 It’s true! I did a whole bunch of research on the brand in preparation for a pedal video on my channel and that was one of the many fun facts I found out.
I have to agree with Francisco - Josh, there's a spot in your first Meris jam where you zoned-out into an inspired groove that totally justified G.A.S. in front of God and everybody. It was a joy to watch these pedals ignite a little spark for you. Thank You @Sweetwater and thank you Josh and crew. Also, it's taken a minute or two but the Addison/Driller back-up band is really startin' to gel, man. Great live stream - I hate that I missed it.
It definitely incorporates patches from most all their pedals and can be run independently with or without delay. It’s a true multi effects pedal. Love it!
@@brandonjackson5865 old Tel Ray Morleys from the 70s have a really big sweep, but yeah when they went to the smaller design even back into the 80s the treadle bracket mounts got shorter and made the sweep smaller.

The Morley Multi is a god send ! it's high time pedal builders understood that we, guitar players, don't have time to waste with programming and tweaking 250 presets.... I am a blues guitar player, I just't don't have the need to have sooooo many effects. The only thing I want is something including : reverb, univibe, phaser, wha and fuzz ... the last time I checked, the only pedal providing all the goods was the Digitech Experience which was released more than 15 years ago. I would gladly purchase the Morley if it had an onboard reverb instead of a chorus..... I just hope it is the begining of a new serie of analog multi pedals
I don't know how they kept a serious face throughout the video. Those are some serious poker skills. They were literally trying to squeeze juice from a stone.
As much as I appreciate Nick and his creativity m…but man, I think this is live band that JHS needs. Addy on the drums and Driller on bass - They got a groove that’s natural.
I have it and it’s worth it. You get the sounds of all the other meris pedals and it’s basically a multi effects because you can apply all the filters, modulation, etc to the dry signal as well and turn of the delay trails if you want
Unless I've missed it, please do more classic Morely content. Power Wah Fuzz comparison? As the owner of one from 1977, it seems fairly unique...I've never played a newer though.
if you're "Taking the piss" you are joking, misleading or harassing someone. example, "that overdrive sounds great, I love the sound of a pocket transistor radio !!!
This is the best band you've ever been in Josh. Nice demos. I like the first time run thru of the pedals. It gives a good idea of what I can expect when I don't sound like Pete Thorn either. Edit: It might be time to disband and go out on a creative high note. Or at least change your name.
I just finished my Mdiv last year, and remembered someone talking about a paper on phenomenology on one of your shows, Found it. What did he submit? I wrote a paper on Ricoueur and Balaam's Donkey as a model of preaching once upon a time.
That is a nice chorus … fly rig 5 is missing a Morley wah. This is a good total package Morley has surprised me here. I didn’t think the chorus and analog echo would have enough for me but listening that is nice. I could take that little guy and live with that for a night at a bar gig no doubt
The phrase about 'the piss' is British. Watch This Is Spinal Tap for use in a sentence, Wikipedia defines it as this: "Taking the piss is a colloquial term meaning to mock at the expense of others, or to be joking, without the element of offence."

Yeah i dig the Morley wah Steve vai knows what’s up just saw him in Albany killer show when he rocked that hydra and the entire show in general. I own 3 Morley wahs all ranging in different sizes, and I have the feeling all of them could be used as a weapon, especially the big old chrome enclosure ones.
"Taking the piss" is a UK phrase meaning to make fun of/making a mockery of something or someone. "Are you taking the piss out of me?" Would be, Are you mocking me??
The Morley thing is cool. I’ve imagined taking two or three boss pedals I like and putting them into a single enclosure, just because I like to tinker and think it’d be cool, probably like a SD1 , GE7, and a CE5 or maybe instead of a GE7 use a Metal Zone for the eq and extra gain “all the gainz” It would be completely unpractical and a waste of time but I like tinkering with stuff and Frankenstein/Steampunk stuff I think is so cool. Maybe I should do it with three behringer pedals, boss comes in a nice enclosure and everyone says the plastic behringer enclosures aren’t built to last ( I’ve never heard one instance of a behringer pedal breaking ) at least not before someone got there full 20 dollars worth and then some out of it and dropped it from an airplane and set it on fire. A little secret for the vintage pedal enthusiasts Arion was the behringer of the 80s cool pedals but 200 for an Arion chorus now really? The Morley thing is really sweet, I’ve been thinking about getting a Wah and it’s got a Chorus too ? I’m sold Chorus is the one effect I must have always, even before it was cool to like Chorus again. Yeah if you can’t get a tone out of that Morley you might need to switch to bass or drums or digeridoo . The only complaint is it’s not big enough those old pedals are huge the the new thing is compact in comparison lol
Jamming at your best! Love the Meris pedal, but it has so many possibilites that I, personally, wouldn’t have it. Don’t get me wrong, it sounds amazing, but anybody out there also getting a little (completely) lost in the infinite possibilities?
