i have downloaded it and install it but da vinci is not letting me use it. every time i am dragging it to the timeline its showing the popup , unknown tool found
Hey how do you export a text with a transparent background using Proto V2….i used the proto effect and used alpha but when I try to export as a transparent background the edges don’t show.
@@hiphopreactorradio Same, what i did was put the folder on my desktop after making sure it was unzipped and then I went to a new project and did what he said and it worked
To anyone with an issue dragging and dropping this into Fusion, just before dragging you need to unpack the archive. Extract the folder first and then dragndrope file into fusion :)
For those people who have a no appear install issues : 1/ open protov2 with notepad. 2/ save it somewhere. 3/ now follow the video with the new protov2 in notepad format. (your protov2 dowload is probaly not wit a notrepad as same as the video one). For the creator : thank you for your hard work.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GRATEFUL I WAS FOR THIS GIVEN ITS PERFECT TIMING I was looking into how to recreate this certain effect I saw but found out I'd have to use after effects to do it and even my blender friend struggled to find a method into doing it. So I felt lost because I couldn't access "saber" but Proto V2 is very promising. Thank you and the entire community! It really pleases me through community effort we're able to close the gaps in where DaVinci Resolve may fall short and by doing so making it a better alternative to many paid editing software.

Im using davinci for over 3 years now and lately I was looking for some cool effects to step up my montage editing level. I just imagined all the cool stuff I now can do with that tool, technically you should be able to create really everything, it feels like there is no limit to what you can do. This is awesome! I haven't done editing in at least a decade, but I remember working my butt off trying to get a glowing ember effect on the edges of a picture in picture inlay in AE. This plugin looks like it could do the same job with nearly a simple drag and drop....on top of all the other more advanced features. Fantastic work!

Thanks, I will try the effects. However, the installation did not work for me. I found the root cause was the script has problem with national alphabet, I have letter "í" (standard in ASCII and ISO 8859-2) in my user name and thus the path did not work. So I had to adjust the script - fastest way was creating the files in Temp folder with edited script and then moving them to proper folders manually. So if installation is doing nothing, you can check the console and if it states "f is nil" you may have similar issue if you do not use English alphabet only. Sure, the proper solution would be to systematically encode/decode the paths but for me this was the fastest way.
Loving the content at the moment as every video I'm learning something new and making my own content better, I'm subbing and dropping likes! Keep up the good work sir.

I like it, but I feel like it would be cooler if you could drag the line source and change the direction they go in with your mouse.
you can toggle on those controls in the edit page they just get a little messy because you see all the controls for all the sources at once
