What do you do if you have to pull one of the pumps in the well house?
We call the local well service company. They are pros and have the truck and tools for the job.
Or just bite the bullet and have windmill installed.
I go up there around 5-6 times a year 3-6 days at a time
Yea. I am a big windmill fan. Simple mechanical motors. Nothing can stop them. They just work. Solar has come a long way. I don’t think it will take an EMP or Solar Storm though.
I have a well in show low az that was drilled in 1980 and set up for a windmill that never got installed.
I built an A Frame to hold a old dual belt pump jack that is 6ft over top of well head sucker rod stuffing box
I use a 240v generator to run the 240v electric motor with 2.5" dual pulley that runs belts up to 10.5" pulley on pumpjack
I get 3.5 to 4 gpm out of this set up
Well is 300ft deep 145ft static level
Windmill pump set at 250ft
Well makes around 25-30 gpm
I use it to water my cabin 200ft away and my pond 1500ft away down hill
Would love to get your advice if i should put in rps solar well pump as well as any reccomendations
Wow. I like your style. It’s not everyone who knows what a pump jack is, let alone uses one. We have windmills on the ranch and an old antique pump jack the old timers used when there was no wind. I myself have never used it.
I do not know solar, but a lot of ranchers here have installed solar pumps and are very happy with them.
