Solch ein Skizzenbuch ist mehr wert als jedes Fotoalbum. Die Erinnerungen, die man damit verbindet, sind viel intensiver. Dabei spielt es auch keine Rolle, ob einem selbst jetzt jedes Bild super gefällt. Mir gefallen übrigens alle! 😀 Vielen Dank für‘s Zeigen!

I really enjoyed your approach to this sketchbook tour, Kathens. To share the memories, to show us the video clips, so that we can remember with you, these are a great way of doing a sketchbook tour that really engages us and you!
I will say to you what I have said to several other art tubers: "Just do you." Please don't try and fit yourself into a certain mould of doing urban sketching videos when it is perfectly obvious to some of us, as it is to you, that there is a lot more to you and your art than the confines of architectural 'urban' sketching as seen though the eyes of urban sketchers on ArtTube.
Remember that 'Urban Sketching' encompasses not only architecture, but all the other things that make up urban life - the people, the animals, the cars, buses, trains, trees, flowers, parks, lakes and rivers, gardens and shops and the myriad of other things that make up our urban life. In fact, all the things you have expressed a longing to try are included in the urban environment, and which you can capture in your art.
And remember, too, that art from imagination, as with your lino prints, is valid on paper, canvas, etc, too, and equally of interest to us, because we watch your channel because *you* are *you*, and only then because of the 'urban' tag!
Brett is is a key part of all this, too, and I am certain that he will be happy to see you develop your art and to help you as he does already, to film what you sketch, draw, paint, 'other things'.
Hey thank you so much, this is what I was thinking about a lot recently. Looking through art videos I often realize that some videos are fitting more into a specific niche than others, but in the end of the day I know that there is this need for experiments and exploring new art techniques and drawing subjects to not feel trapped as an artist. Thank you again for taking your time to reassure me in this.
