If you have an accident Rosie's neck will get broken in a collar, a harness is much safer for her. Also if you are holding the lead the first thing you will do if you or the children are injured is let the lead go. Someone then opens the door and Rosie runs out into the road in panic. This is one of the main reasons dogs must be restrained properly along with the need to stop them being thrown through the windscreen. God forbid anything like that happens. Rosies lead could be attached around your seat frame maybe.

  • @davidcorbett62

A number of people have mentioned Rosie’s safety so how about fitting a harness which allows her to ly down when in the cab, it could easily be attached to her bed in the cab and she sleeps most of the journey so it would be ideal. I know she’s a handful on a lead when walking so suggest you get a harness for her which gives you more control of her.
I have splurged watching all your vids to get the full background lol. Love them and love how you parent the kids who are lovely ( I know we don’t see all the fights and tantrums lol). One other thing re your batteries, you can get small lithium battery packs which will start your engine if the batteries go down . I know money is tight but they are a good investment
    Keep safe and happy travelling

Very recently found your channel. Absolutely love watching them. I think what you are doing for your young family is tremendous. What a life you are all having. The experiences you are sharing together could not be found in books. Your children are all amazing, but Teddy is an absolute little cutie. He is a great little chef. Keep up with the videos. ❤

Hi my battery on my bus can get too low to start if im parked for a few days. I think its because of the tacograph. I had an isolator switch fitted by an auto electrician. So when im parked up i turn off the main battery. I am going to fit a some solar in future and have a fancy switch that can be used in an emergency to allow the leisure battery to help the starter. Ive also got a charger with a starter function for when we are plugged in which is handy when we are back at base.

Luxembourg is a lovely little country - some great castles to visit, though places like the Schiessentümpel/ Schéissendëmpel Waterfall (more of a pretty bridge over a small river) and Esch-sur-Sûre might be a bit of a challenge in your lorry.
I hope you get your lorry running quickly, though the park up looked a pretty good place to get stranded! Can you get jump packs for lorries ... all the ones I've seen are 12V not 24V.

24:03 This is the Spanish issue resurfacing - you left Spain with a knackered battery clip. You showed it to us.
You're risking vapourising the connecting post off the top of the new battery.
The clip is €5 & takes 10 minutes to fit if you spend the extra time to clean everything by pouring boiling water over it & then Vaseline the end of the wire, the post & the new clip.
    Good luck xx

That’s the problem that would put me off van life on the continent. Anywhere on either of the islands, I can sort out any sort of starting/running/charging issues and even small to medium mechanical troubles, at the roadside.
But on the continent I’m stuck with breakdown insurance and, based on my research, they won’t recover anything bigger than a people carrier, or small panel van. That’s scary, with an elderly, or high mileage ex-commercial vehicle.

The UK Highway Code requires dogs to be properly restrained in vehicles, including lorry cabs, to prevent distractions and injuries. Dogs shouldn't roam freely or stick their heads out of windows. Failing to follow these rules could lead to fines of up to £5,000, court appearances, and invalidated insurance. Holding the lead is not proper restraint-the easiest solution is securing a harness to a back seat.Apart from this great to see you in another video and life is good xx

rather than pay for recovery, get a taxi, buy some new batteries + fit them yourself, painful now, but no more breakdowns...

I love watching your travels and your children are lovely. I don't understand why you don't get the boys hair cut, poor things look ridiculous with all that hair flapping around and too girly

How rude, I think they are aware that the boys have long hair, do you think they will actually cut their hair just from your advice ???? 🙄

I thi k you need a battery butler that runs off your house system to maintain your vehicle batteries when parked up for long periods this will stop you getting flat vehicle batteries and will prolong their life 😉
