Thanks for including my story :) Anyways a good downtown inspiration is Seattle or Philadelphia. While both cities do have older buildings, they have large modern skyscrapers sticking out in the Skyline.
Since Riverton Bay is located on the West Coast in your plan, some Spanish colonial buildings would maybe fit. Just nestled in between modern buildings.
I have to say, that is a really clever idea. A train station like that has to be completely custom, and it's pretty common in the most urban areas. I know this isn't a European city, but a lot of main train stations in European cities have tunnels on one or both ends of the station. Warsaw Śródmieście in Poland is an example of a completely sunken station.
I´ve been to "Warszawa Centralna" several times and although its ugly inside and the air is freezing cold I´m somehow fascinated by the atmosphere there. Love the moment when a train is coming from the dark and only your platform is lit up.
the downtown area could be built somewhat like madison and milwaukkee, wis. They have mordern but very old buildings. I know it’s LA type build, but it’s just idea.
great series so far! Love the station. that station reminds me of my home town station. Nottingham, UK. Only a lot more modern. Nottingham station is partially sunken with an old entrance hall at street level and with a tram line build over the top (where an old rail line used to pass over many years ago)
This is an excellent station and episode! Big fan of sunken stations. Philadelphia's 30th Street is sunken as well, if you need an Amtrak, NJT or the Amtrak Acela while you can take the SEPTA commuter rail lines on its elevated tracks. Great build!
that story got real dark 😳😳 still great episode tho !! edit: i would definitely add lots of art deco style buildings in this city :) its a style from the 1920’s but there have been some resurgence in the 70’s and the modern day in the United States, making it a pretty diverse style
The train station looks pretty cool now, but I imagine some activity would make it better. That will come with time, though. The modern, “transit-oriented” development is good thinking, though. For the downtown, I would suggest a largely modern one with maybe a few older buildings, and I would count the station building as one of those few. I get the impression that Riverton Bay is a more West Coast city, and there simply aren’t as many older buildings there, as a result of later development or destruction. I’ll be curious to see how you take it.
It would be neat to see references of the McSmoos all over the city as it seems like they have a BIG influence on your city. Makes the city more detailed.
Very nice! The exterior of the sunken train station looks amazing! The interior will look weird as hell and, this is weird, you one have sunken railway which will come into immediate contact with another sunken railway. Something about that angle doesn't make sense... Unless the three station railway is a terminus...
Nice build, but I have to ask how do the cars get into the train station parking lot? They'd all tear their mufflers off trying to drive over that giant curb! But seriously, what is that billboard at 17:32? I need more of that style of billboard for my SoCal city.
Another amazing build! btw are you planning a regular uploading schedule for the episodes? because I can't go on spending my whole fridays keeping refreshing the UA-cam page waiting for a new Riverton Bay episode to be upload lol :D
Taser, This is a really beautiful build so far. I like the extend to which you detail. Can I ask why you attach your parking lots to the surrounding roads sometimes, and many times you don’t?
Sometimes I just don't want to deal with nodes. For this case, if I would drag a road onto the parking lot it would've created terrain underneath which would've interfered with the train station.
TazerHere I completely get that. I waste so much time trying to get my parking lots to be perfect. The station is really beautiful. Keep up the great build. I look forward to each installment.
Hey about 2 minutes into the video how did you place those office buildings over the train station without the building showing the concrete foundation?
Hi Tazer, while watching this video I saw you moving buildings up an down and it didn't disturb the terrain but when I do it through move it mid, it is moving with the terrain. Could you please suggest how to do it
I love this build, but... how people will get in there? I mean, in game they are able to jump 10 m down, but it doesn't look particularly realistic. I'm not sure, maybe a path from the station building to the platforms would work?
When I download your mods and go to play Cities Skylines I keep getting errors and things don't load and they disappear. Do you happen to know why or any fixes?
You can't just click "subscribe" to all of them, you will have to probably download at least the mods hand by hand. And also, don't forget to enable them in the content manager.
Thanks for including my story :)

I’d love to see a C:S rendition of the Vape in Philly, though someone on reddit made one. Both are pretty unique skylines.
wow a functional train station? very unrealistic for LA smh
Can agree
@Jack Skoskiewicz you know the skylines community gotta support each other.

Wow this is way better than America keep it up 👍 🤩
You can use TMPE to get rid of the parking on the road that goes to the parking lot

This is one of my favourite builds done by Tazer!

Absolutely in love with this series

It is a terminus station.
@@TazerHere That makes sense!
In the Netherlands a station ussually is sunken and open or elevated an open this station made me think of Amsterdam Sloterdijk station

i like the idea of a Miami skyline
Could you make tutorial? how to make the city prettier?
Idk but I feel the miami vibe in this city as well. More modern buildings and suburbs would fit rather than a large-spread art deco quarter.
Another amazing build! btw are you planning a regular uploading schedule for the episodes? because I can't go on spending my whole fridays keeping refreshing the UA-cam page waiting for a new Riverton Bay episode to be upload lol :D
Haha thanks bud! I'm trying my best to upload every other week but it's not always possible, unfortunately.

Another butyfull Day in Riverton Bay
I vote you use mostly old brick buildings as filler in the downtown.
how do you get the buildings to cover the tracks like that?
Hey about 2 minutes into the video how did you place those office buildings over the train station without the building showing the concrete foundation?
which mod isused to make the build fly like that and place where we want?
And big neoclassical buildings as in San Francisco
Cool!👍👍👍

Awesome build, can you slow down the timelapse just a little bit? Like if its 7x, can you make it 6x?
Where can I find the map?
what train station did you use?
The international district station in Seattle is a sunken station
14:07 It's Bangkok MRT Station.
Love This!
Yeeeessssss
dont stop please
Map used please ?
Omg it's like port city in GTA san andreas
Your voice is sooooooooo cool :D

Penn Station NY is dismal
