City Infrastructure - Cities Skylines: Riverton Bay - 01

- The idea of Riverton Bay is to create a city that looks and feels big. It is set on an island to limit the amount of space, thus making it possible to do heavy detailing.

Very cool idea for a city! Excited to see you back!
Hey!!! $ 2.20
Looks great so far, good idea with limiting the building space right from the start.
He’s back!
Great to see you back mate! Can't wait to see how this project develops!
Glad to see you back! I'm super excited for this new series! It looks like a really interesting project!
Since you're working on an american city on an island, you could find some inspiration in Honolulu, maybe with some small adjustments in terms of LUT (now it still looks like a northern Europe or a Pacific Northwest setting, it really reminds me a lot to Brunswald)
Can't wait to see the first buildings! 💪🔝
Thanks dude! Yeah the graphics are still in working progress.
Finally a subtle top comment edit
It’s a cool build!
And you’re right the tunnel thing looks pretty cool with a purpose too, not only it’s useful, but it definitely looks cool
Looks interesting, can't wait to see more and I'm glad you're back!
Incredible detailing already, the train entrance was really nice
finally a skylines series i'm going to start following from the very first episode. looks gorgeous!
So looking forward to seeing how this turns out, glad to have you back mate.
It's great when UA-cam recommends you episode 1 of a fresh new C:S series from a UA-camr you haven't watched yet, instead of episode 100 of an old series.
Subscribed and thrilled for the next video!
Can't wait to see how this turns out, looks amazing..
Not so sure why UA-camrs apologize for their dogs barking in the background. It's nice to have tbh. It adds cuteness to your vids.
Love the idea behind this project! I also like the California inspiration... I would love to see some of San Fransisco in there.
Please put up the map on the workshop! It looks really cool
FINALLY!!!!!!
Also you sound much more energetic. Love it!
Damn bro 5 months? This is gonna be good! Glad to see your back!
Yes...! You beautiful bastard... You're back!!! God, I missed your videos so much.
You're back! I was so happy to see a video from you, starting a new city, no less!
I hope you're well and I can't wait to see what'll you come up with for this project.
Welcome back. I've missed your videos so much! Building on an island is a good way to restrict yourself while building a city. Might not be entirely realistic, but Its still a good way to build a detailed city. I've tried it alot of times too.
Glad to see you’re back! I think at least a year went by in the 4 months you’ve been gone. I hope this is a project that you can stay inspired for. I really like what you’re doing so far with the roads. The whole GTA compressed map design seems to be a running theme for a lot of C:S people now. I think it’ll lend itself to a cool project. I really can’t wait to see what you come up with. Hope everything is going well there for you, too.
Yeeeesss I'm so happy. Finally new season. Yes!!!!!!!!
Just discovered your channel. I was looking someone like you since ever. Have a new suscriber. Love your videos and greetings from Mexico.
Man haven't seen you in a while it's good that your back👍
Finally you're back 😀
Looking forward to the series!
Lovin those super smooth and realistic on and off ramps
Great that you're back. But seeing that many people are already trying something inspired by California I think it would be awesome if you consider pivoting to something inspired by Honolulu, since its an island city as well as an American build. No pressure, we'd all enjoy your build either way
Finalmente de volta, ansioso pela nova série, abraços do Brasil
As séries dele são muito Top 👌
*The Return Of The KIng*
those trucks on the highway really sold it to me for some reason damn that looks good
Yay! Tazer(is)here. Happy to see your video pop in to my feed. Was binging Brunswald over the break. Always good to take a break. Excited to see what happens in this series.
Okay, this is spot on! First of all I think the scope of the project fits your style of building perfectly, with focus on high levels of detail and awesome graphics (although I have to agree with DieHardHunter that it looks a bit too much like Brunswald). Its hard to imagine what this is going to look like, since you don't take inspiration from a particular American city and i was going to give you the advice to pick one or a few as main inspiration. But since most people do that, why don't you pick certain aspects, builds and feeling that you wanna realise. An example could be an extensive harbor or maritime vibe to the city, since you are building on an island! Then you can go ahead and search for American cities that have this vibe. I think that will leave you with a lot more freedom and fun when realising the project. Also: for how long are you planning to do this project? A bit more info on that would be nice in the next video.
the island concept gives me honolulu vibes. i haven’t seen much of that so maybe tweaking the theme and LUT and taking inspo from there would be cool! glad to have you back :^)
I absolutely love it now I think it is fun to make the amusement park on a pier
Excellent start.
By the way its "above ground" subway/metro instead of on-ground.
i just stumbled across this and i like what you've done. great work!
It made my day to see that you have started a new project
Such huge highways for such a small island?
If the city is going to be large (as he stated) then you will need large highways.
Nice to have you back dude
Nice to see you back.
What a awesome day. At first Akruas get back to the Altengrad series and now you are starting a totally new series. 😁
Welcome back !! Looks like it is going to be a awesome city .
New viewer to the channel and I love the attention to detail while building! I look forward to watching more!
was just wondering when you'd be back! excited for a new project
It's great to see a new video from you! Even though you said you didn't really want to build on the hills, it would be cool if you did something with leeijos hillside houses, they even fit the SoCal style.
Do a series of small Islands that take the roads off the maps, I get that you want to make it small, but I reckon the Islands can let you do mini builds if you have a day you want to do something different
I love how realistic your builds are you are a huge inspiration!!!!!!!!
Can’t believe his back
just super excited and glad to see one of my favorite C:S UA-camr at work again :D
Glad to see you're back with new ideas! It's a pity that you couldn't go ahead with your other project, but nonetheless I think the scale of this city will be achievable without reaching the prop limit 😂 also there is Procedural Objects as a last resort if you're worried about props. I'll wait to watch the next one, but no pressure to do weekly uploads, I'll be here even if you don't upload for months! 😀
Oooooh! This is going to be good!!!!
So cool you're starting a new project. Keep well and healthy.
Excited for your new series. Great to see you back ! Heavy detailing you said , thats what we expect . pls fix your recording speed
Great start. I like the general look of the road and light rail network. This city is going to have to be pretty high density, Hong Kong density?
Really!? Are you back man!? So happy. Estou feliz.
This guy’s finally back
Fuck yes this series is gonna be good! L.A L.A.
Nice to see you again 👍✌
Just found your channel AMAZING!!!😁
I know when I do island maps I actually delete the highway connection because it’s unrealistic, so I use airports and ships which leads to a lot of fun traffic around those areas that I enjoy working with, but that’s just me
Nice to see you back again. Where looking forword to this :)
Realistically speaking, the elevated section of metro might as well go over the highway instead of tunnelling in. I mean if enough distance is between station and highway to go from elevated to ground to tunnel, it should have enough gradient to reach over the highway. its elevated already might as well stay elevated. but i dont know the terrain so i can be soo wrong!!!
BTW that blvd with trees is such an eye candy!!!
Glad to see you back! The episode was amazing!
Could you possibly upload the save game with the road layout so we can use it as well?
Welcome back mate! Too bad New Toulouse got abandoned, but this new project looks pretty good!
I’m glad that you’re back! :)
Just what I need, i love watching your videos, and now I actually have the time ahah
Instead of LA you should take inspiration from Honolulu. Honolulu is on a small mountain island and has a relatively big highway going through it for such a small city
Welcome back
For some reason the way these highways are setup reminds me a lot of how Hawaii is set up
Finally :) Glad to see your back!
Your Back!
Looks like a great start!
I recommend using the Resize It! mod for your toolbar, it allows you to widen it and is more customisable. City looks promising!
Awesome! :) maybe I am wrong but... this theme/map is quite green and it (for me) looks more like a north California/Oregon. LA is more dry and more like a desert... But that doesn't matter...
Keep up the great work and I am really looking forward to next episode!
just me probably but I thought it was a Sims 3 city build. cool you're back!
Tazer is Here!!!!! Welcome back!
New to the channel and immediately interested...so much so that I might become a regular viewer :D I actually started my own city recently and I had a similar idea - to create a seemingly large city with a limited amount of space.... but I'm kinda stuck now so with a bit of luck this will help me get inspired again. :D
I like it alot!!! Thanks!
Nice video! Gonna subscribe to watch the series.
One suggestion, remove during the video edition moments like 6:55 ~ 7:55, all those back and forward movement with zoom in and out a high speed is extremely dizzying. A better approach would be showing the beginning of the process, stable shots from the development and the final result.
Here it comess..........!!!! Yeeeeassssss
Oh awesome, welcome back
I'd like to see big roundabout in 12:55!
btw So nice project!
I just found your channel, excited for this project!
glad your and looks like an amazing city so far
YES! We missed you dude..
well done!!!!!
So excited for the next episodes😍
Nice! Great to see you back! Just how big is Riverton Bay? At least a mile square?
Happy your back😃😄😃😄😃😀😅😁😄😃😀😅😀😄😁😄😃😀😁😃😄
This looks cool
The legend is reborn!
Finally!
Bro use parallel road tool.
Tazer: It's for noobs.
Glad to see your back! Quick question...what’s the name of the mod that lets you place trees on top of fake surfaces like the ploppable grass?
Muito bom, aguardo o 2° episódio!
Finally tazer
is back
What if in this series you have a great focus on the public transportation of the city?
Finally
That man is back!
