Even the little Doctor Who fill at 1:20... Amazing. Thank you for all your work and even more for sharing. It has been a huge help. I'm still having a tough time getting the tone from my Muff setup right but your tips and info have helped me make vast improvements.
I've been to see Brit Floyd and Ozzie Floyd loads of times so I was expecting the eruption from the audience at the end and was weird it didn't happen lol. You were terrific :) Peace
Hi kit - great démo live you dedicated website for tube driver - looking for BK Butler TD settings for Pigs 3 différent ones - can you help ? Congrats again for the tone and show !
I made the backing track. It's mostly mixed from extracts of Guy Pratt's bass from a few 1994 soundboard recordings and extractions from the quad version of Meddle.
hi mr. rae! happy holidays. i purchased a normal rams head clone a couple months ago. to be specific i bought a vick audio 73 rams head. tbh i wasnt happy with the gain amounts (meaning it was lacking). so i tried looking up a cheap way to modify it. you have a lot of schematics on normal rams head and violet rams head on your website, im going to spend a while looking over my rams head circuit and compare it to to the circuits on your website. i am curious if you have tried the 73 rams head and if you have any clue on modifications to get some extra gain out of it. i would love to know what i maybe able to try so i could diy this into a violet rams head and not mess this up.
Andy Jackson said in an interview that the 1994 guitar cabs "were miked with updated versions of the small, square Sennheisers, which were favoured Floyd microphones 20 years earlier. " The Sennheiser MD409 was the little square mic Floyd had been using since the 1970s and the e906 was the updated version introduced in the 1990s. However, the tour photos appear to show each Marshall cab was miked with one Sure SM57 and one e906, and each WEM cab was miked with an SM57.
hello Kit! I take this opportunity to thank you from my heart for your wonderful site that I have been following for years. Can you tell me how you set the Hiwatt and Bassman?
It's the same settinsg shown on my website. These - www.kitrae.net/music/Images_Secret_Music_Page/59%20Bassman%20Settings%203.jpg and www.kitrae.net/music/Images_Secret_Music_Page/Hiwatt%20Custom%20100%20Settings%202.jpg
Hey Kit, I have a question about using the CS2 ... "This is used to compress the clean tones and light overdrive tones, increasing the volume the light picking and reducing the volume of the picking" you said, but I would like to understand how to manage Sustain and Attack ... What logic do I have to follow to set them in Gilmour's way? Thanks dear
No logic needed if you simply use Gilmour's settings. For cleans and overdrive, Gilmour uses compressors to even out the volume for light and heavy picking, as well as increase the sustain. Compression also makes the pick attack more prominent, but David's settings are not extreme. He typically just used some moderate compression, just enough to be noticeable.
From my experience, using the Alembic as the preamp for the Hiwatt using David's settings does not sound all that different from using the stock Hiwatt preamp.
@@lonewolf8188 The Alembic is essentially a Fender Twin Reverb preamp, and is very different from the Hiwatt preamp. But as I said, I experimented both ways through my Hiwatt, and I heard very little difference when using David's settings with the Alembic (Hiwatt preamp bypassed) or using the Hiwatt as normal. The cleans through the Alembic sounded slightly more compressed to my ears, but very little difference when using distortion.
Hello Kit! I am undecided between the Future Factory Delay and the Flight Time Y2 ... obviously I would like the one more similar to the TC2290 ... which of the two do you recommend? I know that besides the functionality they sound slightly different
You can get them sound sound almost identical, but the FT is probably the closer of the two to the 2290. I don't think you can go wrong with either one
Dude. I've never seen anyone attempt this...Let alone kill it. I don't know what to say...SO well done.

Gonna make my self a lap steel too!!!!! :)
What an amazing cover! The sound is very much like the delicate sound of thunder. Where did you get the backing track??

@@kitraestudio no problem, maybe i will buy a reissue and then put a mids switch on it. merry Christmas!
Super, normal stream guitar setup?
Sorry, I am not sure what you are asking. If you mean the signal chain, it is listed below the video.
Sounds deadly Kit. Great job! How are you recording this? (video and sound)
A couple of Sure SM57 mics through a Behringer PMP4000 mixer, into my iphone 7s. Recorded using the Filmic Pro app.

Hi Kit, what microphones does David use for the speakers (Wem & Marshall) on the Division Bell Tour?

Hey Kit! meanwhile happy new year! I wanted to ask what good is that GE7 in the Division Bell Tour routing system?
?
Do you mean, what were they used for? If so, I explain how David used them on this page. www.kitrae.net/music/David_Gilmour_Tone_Building_1C.html
@@kitraestudio I am not referring to the ones you mention on your site but on that GE7 that is above the Alembic F2B

why you did not use "glass slide" same as gilmour?
Gilmour does not use a glass slide.

what kind of pickups (neck and middle) do You use ?
I don't. Those two pickups are not connected. I only use the EMG in the bridge position.
How did you set the RH?
Volume 11:00
Tone 10:20
Sustain 2:00
