My dear friend, This is not just a song, it is a confession I make every day.
I always keep on singing this song as
It gives me a lot of strength and brings me out of all worrries.
While desiring to inherit God's promises, we try to earn God's favour through our own righteousness. But God is willing to fulfill all His promises through His righteousness.
I once was a person who was fully dependent on my own righteousness trying to earn God's favor through my good works; and that was the way I was led by the people to whom I looked up to.
Over time, and after lot of effort, sincere try, and innumerable failures, I got tired, became lonely, disappointed with myself, I felt like I was not under God's favour and that I could never have it.
But my life changed the day I came to know that Righteousness is given to us as a Gift from God; the gift which He Himself by His Love has given us.
That opened my eyes, and I started seeing the truth that I'm not alone, but God is with me always and His unmerited favour is upon me.
I made a commitment that day, that even if the whole world tries to stop me, I will preach about His Righteousness.
Friend, I know you are a Word believing person. Can u for a moment read this verse in Romans 5, verse 17...
Bible says that "those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through Jesus Christ."
The Abundance of Grace and the Gift of (His) Righteousness!
These two gifts are freely given to us by God. Through these two gifts you will reign in life, even over those things with which you are struggling right now. It may be your struggle with sin, or curse, worry, difficulty in life, sickness, you will start reigning over it.
Whenever you sing this song, it is not the tune or the music you should remember, but you should remember only one thing... If I ever get a chance to meet you, the only thing I would like to hear from you is that you saying God's Righteousness is a free gift in your life.
That is my heart's desire and the goal of my life.
