Super excited to be working on the truck again! Excited to get it finished for good. You could put limit straps on the rear end because you don't need a whole lot of travel for drifting so that way when you use the jacking point in the rear you don't have to go up as high, and when you have to disassemble the rear end you just take who bolts out on the axle and the actual will drip all the way down
Not to be internet car diagnosis guy, but if you increased the size of your fuse from 10A to 30A and now the ECU doesn't turn on it's possible that you fried it.
If something connected to the ECU was pulling too much current/shorted initially and you kept putting bigger fuses in, it could have exceeded the capacity of the internal ECU circuits and let the magic smoke out.
This mans the undisputed goat of automotive youtube, been watching gingium for 7 years now - he's the reason i'm doing an Automotive Engineering degree and starting my first project car this summer. Never stop doing your thing Caleb lad
Hell yeah bro!! Keep grinding don’t let anyone stop you!
I’m fucking saying. I still remember his gold flaked wrx hatch, old shop slide, and the old bus first video. Crazy how far he’s come. Absolutely flawless progression and I wish him the best. Trust car enthusiasts fw his UA-cam channel hard.

He’s one of the big reasons I’m studying MechE.
Same
You a real one for not saying Alexa out loud 😂
I learned my lesson from doing it the first time lmao
REally HOPE the Fender Flares stay a "Square-Shape" to match the truck bodylines!
Box flares go hard
Yea, i think a e30 or e36 pandem style kit should fit, boxy
I think I commented this last video on the drift truck but like group b box flares would be insane
If suspension droop is an issue when jacking up the rear end, why not add some limiting straps, like some offroad trucks have.
Power probe makes a tool to find shorts in wiring harness I would recommend getting one
Used to work on lots of skid loaders, had one of those and it saved my sanity
U should make a series called "rediculous builds" and get a super modified car and try to make it 100% oem and reliable haha
Sounds fun honestly!
@@_Gingium_ it would probably be "Ridiculous *RE*builds".
I think that could just be shortened to “restoration” lol
@@parkerbethke but thats not catchy bro lol or what did squidward call it? "Pizzaz"
As far as the rear jacking point is concerned with the axle droop, you could always build a little latch of sorts (like a toolbox latch, but beefier) that will hold the axle at ride height as you jack the rear end up. All you'd have to do is reach over the radiator and latch it, then lift the truck up a couple inches instead of over a foot off the ground.
Your fabrication skills of brackets and pipes are underrated! Realy enjoyable to watch
The fuse should only be powering certain items. Figure out which wires are going to that fuse and narrow down the source of the problem. Bad grounding point or internal shortage to a component could be a cause.
Exactly. No point in rewiring when the fix could be something stupidly simple.
I third that....trace it back...disconnect everything on that circuit and add one at a time testing as you go
Or bypass the existing fusebox and run the ECU/fuel pump/ignition through an aftermarket fusebox since that's the most important system at the track.
@@wesley00042 If the truck doesn't turn on without that fuse, the fuse is probably protecting the ECU/fuel pump/ignition. So he has to do some fault finding either way, nothing really gained from the aftermarket fusebox.
Absolutely stoked to see ya working on the drift truck still! It's how I found your channel a few years back. Looking forward to seeing the changes to the paint booth in the next video. 🤙
I’m not meat riding, but I would like to say that you are a HUGE inspiration to me and your viewers! Love the content man!
Love it bro, youre one of the few youtubers i check daily for videos. Most videos you manage to make it feel like we are chilling in the shop with you and its awesome. Keep it up.
I don't know how you do what you do but damn, your fabrication skills are insane! Sucks about the wiring issue but at least we are getting some great drift truck content 😁 sending a ton of support from South Africa!
I want a Dreo fan for my back patio, cause when I am smoking something, I want my neighbors to know!
This man should win^
Hey man, you won the giveaway (as long as you're in the US)
Send me an email @ gingiumgaming@gmail.com and we'll get it all sorted!
@@_Gingium_ thought I won for a second. Bummer 🥲
By far one of my favorite builds on all of UA-cam!!! I am hyped for the custom wide body ‼️🔥
Love your videos, been watching since you got the bus going. Keep the amazing content coming
Love all your work but have a sweet spot in my heart when you metal fab! Thanks for another great video!
Your builds are fantastic Mr Gingium, thank you for video and all.
The welding edit with the beat is so under appreciated
You are a unique guy and you have to be to be a successful fabricator. Able to visualize what you need and go make it happen and it certainly helps to have a well equipped shop like you have and know how to use all the equipment. I enjoy watching you work.
Main wire from battery that my guess because I have a standalone but mine is MAXXECU the ecu shuts off when it sees over current. My issue was that the alternator wire hit the chassis and shorts but the fuse doesn't pop but the ecu shuts off.
I dunno how long I been watching you at this point but it's always pretty soothing.
So excited to see the truck again this video was packed. A great one!
Damn the welding syncing with the beat was dope
Still my favorite build on UA-cam!! ❤️❤️❤️
Video and editing quality just keeps going up
Man been wandering where this had been. Good to see it back!
love too see more progress on the drift truck!!
Just ordered a dreo, hell yeah, thanks for the code
Nice fab work Caleb.
I want a DREO fan in my new apartment! Great video as always; happy to see the truck back
my favorite project on my favorite car channel, what could be better
Ayeee glad to be here so soon!
I know you're going for a clean/shaved engine bay, but running those coolant lines on the outside of the frame rail is pretty sketchy, as shown at minute 7:45. I'm just worried about getting into an accident and then spilling coolant, or even when driving by yourself and getting a leak. Still curious about the engine issue, but if you do make a new harness, I highly recommend also running it on the inside of the frame rails and not up under the fender wells, for the same reason of getting messed up in an accident or damaged etc. Cheers! Love the truck overall!
Another great video!!!
I want a deep fan in my shop/ garage!
Keep up the great work I can’t wait to see this truck done and sliding.
Love seeing the S3 t-shirt!
22:10 i like how you edited the welds on beat
I would very much love a dreo fan in my sweat box of a shed, love that you’re working on the Mazda Truck again Caleb! Such a unique vehicle really makes me want one
I would love to try a Dreo fan in my garage! Thanks Dan
I want a dreo fan in my garage!!! i love the progress on the truck man
I hope everyone can appreciate the level of this kids skills from when he first worked on this truck to now. I hate to bring up that mid engine build, but that was a lot of guys fantasy build for that chassis, the pain in the ass that that in reality they would nope tf out on that. You did that shizz. Props Gingium
Oh yeah, one of those fans would be sweet in the living room, with Alexa and all.
Caleb, just hit up wiring specialties for a custom harness..
dam bro keepin it 100 in this video
Also good to see love on the b2200
I want a DREO fan for my apartment so I’m not burning money with my ac this summer. Also this truck really is one of my favorite builds on youtube.
I was just thinking about the drift truck yesterday 🥳
Hey Gingium, awesome work as always.
2 thoughts:
- Can’t you contact the guy who made the wiring harness for the diagram?
- You should try to have the front bash bar 3D scanned or something so reproducing it is super easy. This way you always have a reference on the front for panel and bumper alignment etc…
Lol I want a Dreo Fan in our living room cause the house just loves keeping heat in. Great video @ginmium
A lot of nice work in this video ! Oh and, ''I want a dreo fan in my no AC, one glass thickness TV room please 😂''
Awesome build I really like the drift truck. Hell yeah 👍
The rear wheel needs to come out even with the front wheel, everything looks amazing but front wheels sticking out more than the rear is throwing me off in my opinion, but if you like it that way that’s cool also. Loving how the build is going and love the content you make. Keep up the great work and never let anything or anyone bring you down.
I want a dreo fan for my garage. Love the truck bro. I love wiring haha. Power probe makes a bad ass short finder. I use it at work all the time saves alot of time. I'm a full time mechanic.
If your going to do a new harness haltech might be your way i believe they make un terminated harnesses to make it a fit for your engine and chassis
I want a DREO fan for my home office. That app support sounds amazing!
I want a Dreo fan for my bedroom, i like that feature that you can control the position. Thats dope!!
I wish I had a Drio for the shop when it’s hot outside my coworkers would love it
I want a Dreo fan for my daughters room, the little girl deserves some coolness aswell!
ginge-spec paint booth boutta go crazy
the widebody we're gonna make for this thing is gonna be some crazy shit
I want a Dreo Fan in my garage for my first home! I'd like to do some kind of AC unit but I love the idea of being able to control everything through a smart home. Would be cool to figure out a way of using that wired up to a temp sensor and have it going auto.
Everytime I watch a Gingium video I get false confidence and go break things on my cars
I want a DREO fan in my office.
Also, thank you for mutting the robot name in the video. Nice touch that most ignore.
Should make a fiberglass mold of the front bumper so you always have a way to replicate a replacement
I was watching this series doing some research a while back. How did you guys determine what HEIGHT to make the subframe mount points
THANK YOU for muting the Alexa part, omg.
I want a dreo fan in my life for my upcoming deployment to Africa! This would help with noise discipline but also help when it’s still 101 degrees at night.
Give direct power to the ecu before redoing the wiring, to check it stills powers up
the solder chips penetrate easily into the wiring, they must be protected/removed when soldering and the pin is almost invisible
I want a dreo fan in my shop!!! Going to be a hot summer in the northern AL!!
Will the rear bash bar not have an affect on the suspension if it gets hit hard enough, Just a thought. Great content though as always, great to see drift truck V2 back
Would love to see Gingium buy Mike Finigans Datsun 510…the possibilities are endless. 👍✌️
Nice!!
A thought, if you wanted to widen the rear track to somewhat match the front, early '80s F100 pickups ran the 5x114.3 lug pattern.
please add some gussets to the bolt mounts at 19:38. thats the weakest link in your chain, i think they would prevent a front end fold a lot.
I want a Dreo fan to keep my garage cool on summer nights
No need to fabricate an entire new loom dude, just a bit of basic fault finding (continuity checks etc) and you’ll find your fault.
More drift truck videos!! Also if you want a project in the future I can bring my Miata it's a 89 it's like Molly help me weld in a roll bar/cage and maybe put dome gingium style touches in it?? Be so cool id help n pay for supplies
I want a Dreo fan for my shop because the dinky ones that are out there aren't cutting it! Missouri summer humidity is no joke!
I want a DREO fan in my bay at work. Summer interior work with no airflow is brutal.
What software do you use to bend the pipes? Need to get on your level broski, cheers from south Florida 🇺🇸 🍻
A DREO fan would make my living room a comfortable place to be in during the Arkansas heat.
Industry plant spotted
nobody in arkansas has the internet stop lying
I want a Dreo fan in my livingroom, so that we can have a nice cool livingroom in the hot summer.
I want the dreo fan for my living room! It gets hot in there in the summer 😅
You NEED to use EVENS WARTERLESS COOLENT!!! NO NEED TO OVERFLOW TANK!!! JAY LENO USES THE STUFF THAT IS MORE EXPENSIVE THEN WE WILL EVER SEE!!! Best Always and in ALL WAYS, Chris Zinn
All you need is a tone generator and a sniffer for your wiring problem. Trace from the fusebox/fuse. The moment you learn to use or own a tone generator life is new lol.
I want a DREO fan in my barn! Should make working on cars in there much nicer in the summer
I want a Dreo fan in my new garage because it is about to be a hot summer in the midwest!
I want a Dreo fan for my front porch. I like to sit out there in the morning and would love some air circulation.
I want a dreo fan in my garage! I love to make a wall mount for it 😍
I want a DREO fan in my living room! I really do! I almost never watch live read ads on youtube but i am actually interested in these since i mostly heat and cool my house with heat pumps and my house is old so it's sectioned off a lot and i need good fans to get the hot or cool air circulating!
Was the engine properly ground to the chassis? With the battery in the back. That would be a concern
I want a dreo fan for my bedroom or family room, Florida summer heat is coming and I need to stay cool! 😎
Drift Truck has a happier face then a miata now!
I want a Dreo fan in my garage!
What cad program do you use for designing
I want a dreo fan for my shop. It’s a decent size shop and the big fan I have out there is super loud and doesn’t flow much air. A dreo fan would be the perfect solution to my problem!!
I want a DREO in my tepee.
