    There is no need to remove the disc. If you turn the wheel hole and look, you will see the sensor bolt. Just access it through the hole.

      It isnt quite as easy to show it on the camera with the disc in the road.

      Video editing haha, although i will admit this was the second run at it. I initially removed the old sensor in the hope that cleaning it would get it working again, so that bolt that holds the sensor in place had been removed a few days prior.

    Good video, i never use a indent my hub nuts i dont like all that banging with a chisel. I haven't had a problem as yet ! Do you think if they are torqued up ok there shouldn't be a problem? Thanks

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  2 роки тому +2

      The indent is done to prevent the nut working its way loose, i would not want to drive a car that hadn't had the nut indented or in some older cars the nut may have been retained by a pin. Its not exactly a hard bit of work to form an indent with the chisel, less than 10 seconds with a hammer, just put on a pair of safety goggles to ensure your eyes are protected.

      Hi there, it was simply ebay.
      Althoug catcar.info can be used to find the part number which helps a lot with an ebay search.

    I have C4P which around once or twice a year gives me error ABS/ESP/HANDBRAKE. Fault disappears with engine off/on. Still wasn't able to pinpoint what could be faulty

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  Рік тому +1

      Hi there, it would be best to plug it into diagnostic equipment to see if it is logging any fault codes for these instances when the message appears.

  • @rockfan3299
    @rockfan3299 2 роки тому +1

    Did the error reappear when the car moved? The fault will clear but it could be down to the abs ring and that won't appear until the car moves. I have this myself.

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  2 роки тому +2

      Hi there
      The error stayed away and has not returned, ive been driving the car now a couple of months. The new sensor fixed it. There were signs of damage to the old sensor.
      The ABS ring on these C4's is on the disk itself, unlike the type on the 406 which was a metal ring pressed onto the driveshaft or rear hub these seem to be a plastic encapsulated metal ring. They possibly can still give trouble but i would say corrosion is less likely than the older metal rings.

    Добрый день ! Подскажите, у вас есть запчасти на продажу для 106 ?
    Бампер, задние аморты, пластик под рулём, задняя крышка рестайл ?
    Или посоветуйте, от чего можно поставить ? бампер и аморты ?

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  2 роки тому +1

      Hi sorry i have no 106 parts, been quite a number of years since i owned one. They are getting a bit more difficult to find parts for.
      Ive never really been in the business of selling car parts, just fixing my own or friends cars and making videos from the process
      You would need to join a few forums and owners clubs, both websites and Facebook groups and ask for what you need there. What country are you from?
      It would be expensive to send anything from northern ireland over to Europe or further.
      Perhaps someone in france, Germany or some country close to where you are might be disassembling these parts, the 106 might be more common there as the climate is more favourable towards older cars, rust is becoming an issue on any 106 here.
      Anyhow if you need any help with part numbers, or what forums to look for just ask.

      The hub bearing may be shaking .
      Distance and sensor Protrusions such as rust can also have an effect.

      Thanks for the comment.
      Yes they are a mighty tool, probably been a dozen newer versions since this one but any of their 18v 1/2 impact drivers seem to be absolute beasts i would highly recommend one. They actually work out cheaper than buying a compressor, airline and pneumatic impact wrench.

    This should be changed on both sides in the back?

    • @peugeotCitroen2CV
      @peugeotCitroen2CV  Рік тому

      Hi
      Only change whatever is faulty, read the fault codes with an OBD scanner which will state what sensor or sensors are faulty. In this instance only one sensor was faulty so only one needed to be replaced. Its been over a year since it was replaced and the car has not required any further sensors

    I have that exact fault on a DS5 weird, but the diagbox doesn't show me which sensor is faulty? Also I heard it can be the sensor ring

      @peugeotCitroen2CV  Рік тому

      Hi, what fault code reader did you use, were the faults reset?
      I put this aftermarket one in and still since it was replaced its been fine. Sometimes the wiring that goes up to the connector itself can be the issue, so it may be necessary to get wiring diagrams and check the continuity between the connector and wherever the other side of it goes to.

      As mentioned in the video its on the to do list
      Despite that the car did pass its mot (annual inspection) recently and is providing good braking performance
