2:50 Camp rock one is still a musical, it's was just a diegetic musical. Where the music numbers were inside the context of the story and they just didn't burst out signing for little to no reason.
Camp rock definitely had better music and lyrics, so I don't know why they would choose that lullaby song to perform at a COMPETITION. I was partically falling asleep mid-way through when they performed. Like what happen to all the bangers they were singing before?

I looked it up, you are right about it originally supposed to be mitchie leaving but this version of the song is Meaghan Martin. Its even on the official spotify and you can tell be the vocals. Meaghan doesnt have nearly as much range as Demi but has a softer tone.

I always saw the competition at the end being not who had the best" performance "persay but which was the" better" camp ❤. Axel saw the better camp being the one who does the most extravagant performance and camp rock didnt see it the same
Its really funny how everyone saw the competition song as too emotional/too boring when that probably was the intention. It was meant to be heartfelt to them.
