interior design of an ancient farm house | Stanzia Vinella

Today, Design Inside Film presents another great renovation and restoration project. It is an ancient estate, nearly 400 years old, with 6 hectares of land, vineyards and olive groves. It is called Stanzia Vinella and has beautiful view on the hilltop medieval village Motovun, in Istria. The stone house was gracefully restored. The builders travelled all around Croatia to find vintage roof tiles and wooden battens to match the exposed oak beams. They used only limewash paint which is known for its nuanced chalky texture. The entire goal of rustic interior design is to be as natural as possible. All decorative items add an authentic touch, like handmade rugs from a Belgian designer and iron chandeliers from India. There are also some modern danish design objects. The traditional features of a classic stone farmhouse were lovely combined with contemporary elements. The whole project is about blending rural charm, modern comfort and a very tasteful design.
