historic estate renovation | Marek and Juan Soriano

Today, Design Inside Film meets Marek Keller, an art dealer and Juan Soriano's partner. He presents his large summer estate: some historic buildings full of art and amazing landscape park. Juan Soriano was a famous mexican artist. He was a child prodigy admired by Frida Kahlo, Octavio Paz, Lupe Marin. After Juan's death, Marek decided to honor his memory by creating 'Juan Soriano Sculpture Garden'. Furthermore, he restored the 19th century buildings which was considerable neglected and partially destroyed during the war. He turned the former barn into a gallery of modern art. The area around the buildings is in the English style. Hugh old trees emphasize the naturalness of the landscape and bucolic atmosphere. Guests wonder why Juan's sculptures fit so naturally - regardless of whether we see them in a modern art museum in Mexico, on the streets of New York, or among hundred-year-old oaks near Warsaw.
The whole estate is exceptional.
