Brings back memories of my old c20let. 1995 and it was a weapon against all the other Ford’s back then. Southend seafront was where it all happened and every weekend was just superb. Cars like this and other 90s motors were the last time you could modify motors in a shed without thousands of pounds. Superb nova fella and a real credit to you 👍
Love nova’s I had a GTE not turbo but it was camed, K&N, piper exhaust, uprated plugs and leads, citron AX GT rear spoiler on the gte spolier. Never lost a race. Fantastic video brilliant build
I bought a ‘F’ Reg Nova GTE in this colour in 2001 for £150! I loved it, I called it the ‘Red Pellet’ 🙈 Flippin little flying machine it was…..I deployed to Iraq in 2003 whilst serving with the Royal Marines and when I got back it had been stripped for parts 😢 broke my heart…..wish I could find it and bring it back to life….great Video as always Adam 👍🏻
@@jeremybeck7244 totally. I had 2. my fav was a Jamaican Yellow 1.3SR. I love most 80s and 90s cars. They had real character without looking all the same as they do now.
Brake master cylinder placement is reason group A rally cars was left hand drive eliminates the bar going over to master cylinder hence better braking and peddle feel . The bar acted like a torsion bar and twists under heavy load giving crap peddle feel
More Nova vids please. I had 3 of them back in the day and they were so easy to work on. My nicest SR was lowered on 15s, with a GTE front bumper and the splitter off a renault laguna. Jesus, what was I thinking? The 90s were a different time with Max power and Revs and cheap insurance. Most kids these days won't go through the modding stage when they are 17 as the insurance would cripple them.
Not a kid (40s...) but drive a Corsa Black edition, on stage 1 remap (165ish bhp, I believe) and in a few groups for maintenance discussions etc, some kids have some mental builds.
Had a red g reg gte back in day.the dream was sticking a c20let in it.it never happened.thats looking bang on now that from old vids.mint little car 👍🏻
I'm not a massive car enthusiast but I can appretiate videos like this. I've learned a lot from watching your videos Adam and they are damn entertaining. Keep them coming!
I love the car i had an astra Gte i miss it are you going to put the nova alloys on or do you prefer the steel wheels with the trims the car is brilliant have fun mate
Loads of mates had novas with red tops in them back in the day! Proper scary cars! 155mph on the digital dash, they was seriously fast for 150hp, bet this is crazy being a turbo one!
@@Adam151082 when you had ya cav gsi was another one had simlar 5spoke wheels in sunderland.belive it or not That Nova there you tried to race back in day.. it was greeny yellow then running redtop on big carbs 2brothers in it from Durham thought you were other cav from sunderland n tried to catch up thinking you were james🤣. It got turbod not long after 🤣 THAT NOVA COULD TELL SOME STORYS...
No true . The figure is torque not bhp or so people used to say . I run well in excess of 500hp and 10" wide 26" tall drag slicks and run an f18 diesel box with lsd . Last box I broke on it was an f16 that lasted 3 race seasons of very hard launches . The f28 will hold up to 900 or so hp so dunno were the 280 figure came from lol I wouldn't bother with a c20let if it was 280hp might aswell have a stock honda
Brilliant wow can’t believe how diffrent it’s looking now from what it was few months ago on last content on this build amazing love it and wow redicliously quick still 🤣🤣🤣
That is pretty cool to be fair I’ve never been a fan of any standard cars though I’ve got to be honest I think they really look cosmetically shit 🤷♂️ different nicer alloys and custom led lights little modern touches like that make older cars look amazing !
Please consider subscribing to Chintz Motorsport, to see the videos on Restoring this car !

Really well done the radio temp gauge is a master stroke but the whole build is tasteful and what a flier
I always wanted a nova for my first car. Ended up with an mk2 Astra 1.3 merit. 4 speed box. Loved it !!!
I had a 1.3sr for my first car, loved it aswell lol
@@Oxygen_Thief nova?

Looked fun that lol at the start i was flat out on a private road. Adam tapping out in 4th gear lol. Coool video
He’s made a really smart job of that Nova.
the way they were bouncing back and fourth, going in depth with such trivial stuff, I wreckon they had a line of Charlie before filming hahahA
Nice to see car reviews on roads I’ve grown up flying about on.
Message for owner. What ever you do,newer forget to bring hazzard switch with you for obvios reasons
Astra engine ?
Cracking Nova, as someone whose rolled a few cars in my time I'd pad that roll cage though.

A mate had a beat up old GTE back in the late 90s, the headlights would fill with water when it rained. Was a shed, but so much fun.
That nova's absolutely beast. A had nee idea the car scene up here was so mint like 👊🏼🍻

Thanks Liam 😊👍🏼
Fantastic wee wagon. Drove loads of them including the GSI version in my ex game. Total pocket rocket. Congrats mate
On a private road? Aye
Honestly man your face when he floored it. 🤣🤣 Never laughed so hard in my life. Brilliant. Really nice Nova aswell. Dying breed
just look at it, sometimes that's all you can do is stand there and just look at it.
Stuff of legends the Nova. Wicked video loved it.. 👍👊✌
Here we find Jimmy Nails Nova, make sure to put sub titles on. Heads up Aye means yes and Mint means good!
About 125mph top in 4th gear for the f20
I love the car i had an astra Gte i miss it are you going to put the nova alloys on or do you prefer the steel wheels with the trims the car is brilliant have fun mate
Perfect that. Love the standard steels with wheeltrims. Always preferred those. 👍🏻
Passed my local pub there, just outside of Durham,, be keeping an eye out
I missed the 90s Nova , 306 with a v6 conversion. Gud luck in keeping petrol engine running
Ahhh finally luis nova again 💪🏼
These cars are insane , I used a diesel box with a lsd. It works better in a Corsa as they have a wider track but bang for buck truly unbelievable
Nice lil sleeper
My first car was a G reg 1.3 SR. Its the only car i ever wrote off. Bought it for 300 quid in 2003.
Another good video Adam. like to see the old school motors
Homemade and home built are totally different things 👍
Brilliant video, never seen you worried before in a car like that 😆
My 87 cav Sri mk2 saloon was carmine red, lovely colour, miss that car, used to spin wheels in 3rd 😊
Loads of mates had novas with red tops in them back in the day! Proper scary cars! 155mph on the digital dash, they was seriously fast for 150hp, bet this is crazy being a turbo one!
Definitely!!! Not much could beat a redtop Nova back in the day

Love the "that'll do" when he gave the beans. Great build.
300 horse stealth nova gte in red with standard wheel trims 😍😍, love it!
Love these uk sleepers. I moved to Canada and it's just not the same
Always been a fan of the nova gte.
Love it but that exhuast is gash ruins it needs a nice stainless system through to a 3" tip imo outward rolled and polished
phat nova mate lol pulls like a train in forth, awsome!
Never mind the Nova, what about the Air Max Classics.
What an awesome machine. I’m not going to lie coming from Essex I have to have this with subtitles on as I struggled to understand 🤣🥳👍🔥
Been there done that! F20 is rated for 200bhp f28 is 280bhp…… I smashed 5 f20’s before I realised.

Has it still got all the lightweight panels on it Adam?
No, it's restored to factory specifications, but with hidden power under the bonnet.
Cracking vid lads, might have to look into this charge cooler idea. 👍🏼
You will, and you’ll never look back
