Thank you for sharing this information. I was diagnosed in 2000 and my complaint was painful sex. I attended a LS clinic in a major hospital in Boston MA. They have only offered me vaginal suppositories which have done nothing to help. My husband has since died. I haven’t had any real help. After watching your education content I asked about pelvic floor therapist and the doctor laughed an said “Are you having trouble with your urine?” I have tried ISS referral web site but no 😮 10:52 one turned up in Boston MA. Google did not turn up anyone that takes my good expensive insurance. No my last biopsy turned up high grade P59 positive. My am scheduled for surgery in October and my biopsy was positive in June. I am having trouble getting heard and getting appropriate treatment. All of this in a major metropolitan area. Thank you for shedding light on these issues.
First of all, Donna, I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your husband; I cannot fathom the level of pain and grief that must have caused. Second, wtf is wrong with that doctor, painful sex is one of the top things pelvic floor PTs work with, and all LS specialists are happy to refer. Man, the medical system really let you down and I'm so upset for you. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts for the surgery in October
