Great comparison, thanks. I really like the stock Eminence actually, and the Jensen C12K, both for their signature Fender bass bump and rumble. For a different flavor I would take either the WGS G12C/S or the Celestion Neo Creambacks.
AWESOME, and thank you. I was surprised by how similar the Creamback and Cannabis Rex top end sounded to me, and that the G12C/S wasn't fuzzy sounding compared to them. I'd be happy with any of those 3. Now I have to choose one
Huge undertaking to make this video - thank you!!! All speakers had their moments, no duds here, but in general they either shined on cleans or on various levels of distortion, so the choice depends on what style you play most. I think the most balanced performance was from the Eminence Cannabis Rex and the WGSG12C/S. I don't mean this the "jack of all trades, master of none" way, either. They were pretty good!
One of the best speaker selection in a comparison i have ever seen so far. Give us a metal comparison with jensen 10" speakers and jensen 12" speakers. And all of the speakers on this video. Because these just happen to be the best speakers for all out metal extreme and black metal also. Best kept secret on the net so far although well known in metal circles. The theme shall be black metal and thrash metal , think the bands played by Dev Gohil on you tube. And thrash bands specifically 'forbidden' and 'racer X' and 'D.R.I.' , 'morbid angel'. 'RACER X' is like the early rock metal shred leads and solos ideas etc. Because the two ingredients to truth of what metal is are = shred + thrash= metal.
I loved all Eminences plus the Jensen and the V type... All were equally great though!!! Top comparison, top playing, top demonstration, top job, top tele!!!
Great comparison. I lilked the Jensen C12K the best. It works well with both clean and overdriven tones. The JBL E120 has an atrocious top end. I think I like that one the least.

Honestly…. The stock speaker I think… although I wish it had a bit more jangle. The Supro had it in spades but was missing the low end. Wonder if you mixed them how it would be? Little jangle here little bass there, would blend well or just get weird…?
I'm a hater of buzzy fizzy harsh high gain tones and a lover of brit vintage warm tube break up overdrives. So for me the Weber, WGS12 and the Cannabis Rex were my favorite 3, but the Weber sounds too dark. So between the Cannabis rex and WGS12 i think there is a something a little more magical about the WGS12 that i did'nt expect. I think the WGS12 would be an ideal choice for those trying to tame a fizzy amp while keeping a detailed sound. Thanks for this review, it really reflects each speaker character.
Cannabis Rex. Best I've ever used. If you like big, fat, mellow lows (like I do) for classic standards and jazz....there's none better. It'll be hard for me to use a different speaker after finding the CR. Unreal.
Depending on goal WGS G12C/s is a good all rounder but not peaky. C12K and JBL E give a big and slightly more scooped BF spund. Neo Cream will likely take gain great, the V Type will take gain but may get peaky, i don't love the Eminence CR dip in mids and lack of attack in 2k range. Supro is stereotypical fender sound what many think a Fender sounds like. Eminence special design is sound but peaky with gain.

JBL E120 and Neo Creamback, sounds very nice to me!
This is a really awesome Twin Reverb speaker shootout. Well done and thank you for doing it.
For me Fender Eminence Special .
Wow, I'm really amazed by the WGS G12C/S. Now I'm checking which Choptones IR pack has it.

Those were my choices as well. I zoned in on WSG G12C/S. I ordered it for a replacement for a fender combo amp. Really hoping its a great match up.
I ordered one for my maz18 based on this. Like it a lot.
Wish you had done all the clean comparisons back to back, then all the distorted comparisons though.
Awesome comparison. Thank you!
Those Neo Creambacks sounds SOOO good!
Sweetwater has a Twin with Neo Creambacks already in it. Very tempting

Supro is juicy with that sweet jangle
I loved all Eminences plus the Jensen and the V type...
All were equally great though!!!
Top comparison, top playing, top demonstration, top job, top tele!!!
Update:
The Supro, JBLs, stock OEM and Jensen are vintage for days.
Great comparison. I lilked the Jensen C12K the best. It works well with both clean and overdriven tones. The JBL E120 has an atrocious top end. I think I like that one the least.
Really liked the stock the best! Surprised!
I really like the supro! Made me buy one
Jensen is undoubtedly in one pole. Alone. I think this best embodies what I think about the Blacface sound.
would love to hear what the Supro BD12s and the Fender Eminence Specials sound like in one cab
love the Neo Creambacks as well
Really enjoyed the two last ones
The Jensen was also really good to my ears
Mi favorito para este equipo fue el jbl d120 pero el de stock suena maravilloso, cambiarlo solo seria una elección de lujo. Saludos desde México!
Really great demo! Thanks
Jensen C12K AND WGS G12C/S for me. I have the V Type in my Twin. I am happy with them, but damn, now want to buy one of these others.
When tweaked right the JBL E 120 is a wonderful, full fat tone to my ear. But they are very heavy.
THANK YOU !

JBL is a killer… surprised how good the amp sounds no matter the speaker
What a nice comparison. Really helpfull
Celestion v type and supro bd are my winners here. I also like the creamback here..

Wow that supro has some nice vintage mojo
What about the utah speakers. Are they any good?
Unexpected but in this comparison my preferred tone is the original C12K; second place for Eminence Fender special design
They all sound great… the JBLs sound amazing. the only one I wouldn’t want would be the Webers
This was an awesome comparison!
c12k has throaty mids, warm but extended highs,a heavy but under mentioned/under rated speaker
Those JBLs steal the show!
Cannabis Rex. Best I've ever used. If you like big, fat, mellow lows

The EV sounded killer

V-Type and D120F seem the most balanced with gain. The others sound boxy, dark or harsh.
I would add the Emi stock too.
nice, what is the IRs loader ?
Is the e120 louder than d120
Top job!
Thanks a lot!!!
For maximum twang: Emi stock, V type, JBL.
(Yes I keep on coming to this vid!)
Fender Eminence Special
Jenson and the JBL 120 for me.
Weber
JBL
The V-Type sound really mid scooped and poorly interesting. Strange speaker...
JBL
