i just discovered Ben Paterson on youtube and really love his sound. Straight ahead, swinging. The guitar tone here is also really nice, acoustic sounding.
I could listen all day to Oscar's version of this on "Exclusively for My Friends". So laid-back yet hard-swinging. Now I get to alternate between that take and this one. Can life get any better?
Exquisite . Smooth....a pure delight for the ears...with a dash of night train...audience diggin' it! So am I ! Very complemented with superb guitar and bass.....would love to hear a lot more. Always hungry for great jazz trios these days. Thanks for the post.
Tony Monaco once told me... if you want to get your audience's attention, play as low as you can, set the dynamics down and everyone will turn their heads to see what's going on in the stage.
