I take it that the mosquito repellant isn't needed as much right now. 🤣🔥 I'm Canadian, and I am acclimatized to weather MUCH colder than 32° while camping... ⛈⛄❄☔🌡 A dusting of snow at elevation is probably par for the course in Alaska.
Sharing all these amazing places with your daughter is going to teach her how important it is to take care of our world. I have no doubt she will remember and teach others when she grows up.
Now, this is TRUE reality TV! You guys are game for anything, I can tell. And your daughter is adorable. I can envision your own series on Discovery Channel.
Thanks again for jogging my memory regarding my own journey to Prudhoe bay with my Dad. Travelling to the far reaches of the north in my Pajero was an amazing way to celebrate his retirement.
Hats off to you ! History made , congratulations . I watched many videos where Rv set out to Deadhorse but when they got to the pass they turned around not willing to risk it. I do not blame them , but you guys kept your spirit and resolution and kept forging ahead all the way to the end . That is why you are the real deal , and that is what separate the wheat from the chaff , the fire in the bally .
That's right where we set up base camp, just to the drivers side of the road, at 4:33. It's been a few years since I've been there, thanks for showing it to me again!
Flystyle Overland!!! Would you just look at that! Bush planes, float planes, pipelines, a truck on a truck, and SNOW in August... just look at it!!! Awesome footage as per the usual. Getting better each time and I’m always excited to tune in. Keep on keeping on!
What on earth this guys.. so GENIUS in picking song.. I like all your song, like damn it makes me like i am travelling... Love it!!!!! Peace from Malaysia!!
Wow! The further north you guys go, the more incredible the landscape becomes. And the 4Runner/Turtle Back combo looks good in that environment. It's natural habitat 😄
We are doing our dream trip next year 14000 km all of northern Canada and into Alaska from dawson City. I think that we will forgo the dempster highway and take a day flight into Tuk to have a swim in the arctic ocean. We are or have decided to pull a 21 foot trailer behind because really we could not afford to trade up to a 3/4 ton full box to pull a fifth wheel...oh well..We just bought a retirement home in Manitouwadge Ontario (lake Superior country) We sure enjoy your videos and have learned a great deal of what to expect..Thank You both and as I said in a previous comment "your daughter is a real sweetheart" We love Kiddy art meaning the Picture she drew..8:12
It's *Gaul* I flew into Galbraith, worked a month at pump 3, but me and two other guys had to drive into Deadhorse to fly out, in the middle of a ground storm. And a Chinese diesel heater is the only way to go!
You guys are AWESOME, I love the editing on your videos! They are very visually pleasing with great music to boot! I'm just now discovering you guys on the tube and I'm glad I did, you are real and relatable people. I wish you all the BEST and safest of travels from here in Oregon
ANOTHER GOOD SHOW. I AM REALLY ENJOYING THESE. SAW LOTS OF TRUCKS PULLING INTO OR LEAVING PRUDHOE BAY WHEN WATCHING ICE ROAD TRUCKERS BUT THEY WERE USUALLY TAKEN IN THE DARK SO DIDN'T GET TO SEE MUCH OF THE COUNTRY AND ESPECIALLY NOT COVERED IN ICE AND SNOW.
I had a sump pump when I had a generator in the back of my truck I switched to this small honda pump because it has more pressure and will pump longer distances when a water source out runs the extension cord I may get another sump pump cause you reminded how handy they are and my rv generator is handy. oh love your show
Hi another great video iam watching you people in snow looking like you are freezing it's 40c out side at the moment (104f) i will swap a little cool for a little warmth if you can. I have mud flats that clamp on to the square tube of the towbar stops the mud on the trailer ... Safe travels
You said Galbraith right the first time. I live near American border , I've seen snow in every month and I've seen shorts weather in every month. Up north has a lot of undisturbed nature , don't know how ppl go without.
Lifestyle Overland Thanks for sharing these amazing videos. One problem with not mentioning the time difference is help from your followers, someone might have a suggestion about how to keep mud from building up on the trailer, portable fire pits, what not to miss, or where NOT to stay, not realizing that you are NOW in a completely different environment and terrain, with a slew of other challenges.
Another stellar video - thanks for taking us along! Yet again, Caroline has taken center stage IMHO! She and my youngest granddaughter are so alike in so many ways it blows my mind (yes, I'm biased, and have no intention of apologizing!). BTW, I would like to see you offer your watch cap/beanie for sale on your store site.
Holly Yak! I googled mapped from Parker, CO (where I live) and it's 66 hours 3600 miles! Crazy trip. No one in my fam wants to load up the FJ and the trailer and go with me!?!? Amazing lifetime trip! Safe travels if your still on the road.
You mention the lack of a fire pit when you are on the move.....my solution for that is the UCO Flat Pack Grill. It is small, flat, and is the perfect size for a small fire. I've been using it for a couple of seasons now without complaint. I'm going to add a cheap cookie sheet to use as an ash pan. Snow peak sells a folding fire pit but they are $300+, while the UCO will run $45-50 for the large(recommended) and $40 for the mini. It literally folds up to the size of a tv tray top with it's own canvass bag. I really am not a fan of fire rings and it sort of bothers me to see one almost everywhere I go, and they usually have trash in them, so I take my own fire pit everywhere and no longer leave the sign that I was there. I will use an existing fire ring if it is clean but I've built my last one. Loving the trip!
@lifestyleoverland I'm just thinking that two months after you guys were there I camped in the exact same spot, memory serves me correctly you should have had excellent cell reception.
Glad I found your channel, helps during this time when I can't travel anywhere due to covid, love from india, and if you could share your playlist then that be amazing 😊😁
Your daughter is a great traveler. Seems to be happy all the time. Thanks for taking the time to get the amazing video shots and the great editing. My father always said that he wanted to visit Tuck. We just live a few minutes north of Aurora Ontario. Cheers!!!
Here's the link to the heater: amzn.to/2SPkHhr
Love mine. Thing is a GAME changer.
I have a big buddy heater but curious as to how you have it in your tent without fear of catching everything on fire. Lol thanks
The diesel heaters don't produce H2O,
Have you switched to the diesel heater yet?
Sharing all these amazing places with your daughter is going to teach her how important it is to take care of our world. I have no doubt she will remember and teach others when she grows up.
Daughter is amazingly well behaved; Wife has her moments. Husband is the rock of the family. I have traveled all these roads solo. Beautiful country!
Now, this is TRUE reality TV! You guys are game for anything, I can tell. And your daughter is adorable. I can envision your own series on Discovery Channel.
Thanks for that, Frank!
Thanks again for jogging my memory regarding my own journey to Prudhoe bay with my Dad. Travelling to the far reaches of the north in my Pajero was an amazing way to celebrate his retirement.
Thanks for riding along! Glad you liked it!
Your excitement starting at the 7:10 mark is infectious!!!
Haha! I was so excited after that drone footage!
Cool family! I wish my wife and kids have this kind of adventurist spirit. Life would be awesome 😎!

Great vid and well presented. You and your family are awesome and I admire the fact that you are free from some of the contraints of civilization.

Snowball fights in August! Fantastic! -20F Yet again here this morning! Coldest Winter since 78'-79'!
That's crazy!!
@@LifestyleOverland The Buddy heater would be lacking BTU's for our life. :)
Those exterior shots are as beautifully composed as anything you'll find in a National Geographic. Exceptional work.

We appreciate the feedback, Ray!
Scenery was amazing. Your video editing is phenomenal. I would suspect you spend a lot of time setting up vantage points for different shots.
Thanks for that! Yes, there's a lot of behind the scenes work to do all this ourselves.

Putting the tent away cold and wet is one if my least favorite things. Buddy heater for the win, I have relied on mine many a cold winter night.
