Hi Matthew! I love all of your stone pathways. They are all great additions to your gardens and add something special to look at. We have 2 outside decks with a rock pathway between them that I've planted with creeping thyme. I really enjoy the look of it. It's not all filled in yet, but pretty close. There are also violas that like to grow between the rocks, too. I like your little area you have in remembrance of Harry. Your roses are beautiful, and so is the snowbell tree. Thank you so much for sharing!
Love your path , I did one in April and I plan to do one more soon. Your roses are beautiful and I too have the proven winner’s At last rose which is beautiful and smells divine.
Thanks for the video. I hope to be doing my flagstone project next month. I can’t wait. I prefer a hard scape as well. It’s going to be my dining courtyard maybe a 12x12 space and I like the other areas you used the same stones. I’m going to do that as well to tie in the look.
Every video this spring has increased your smile. It is so evident that you are happy with your efforts, as well you should be. It is absolutely beautiful. Oasis indeed. I would be hard pressed to spend my time anywhere else.
The way you lay pavers is so much easier to do and they look beautiful!! Thank you for sharing your method. The way you take the time to explain things is just so wonderful. In fact you are the ONLY one who explained how to install drip in a way I actually understood because everyone else talks either too fast or assumes you already know things but you actually took the time to explain things in such a simple way so I am really grateful to you for that and for creating a beautiful garden that brings me so much joy and inspiration. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you 🌷🌷🌷
Wow, your roses look lovely, really like your statue honoring your dog Harry. Very thoughtful. Your garden is so beautiful. Are you going to give up on using supertunias? Would like to see the elevated planter out front again.
I really need more paths in my garden and am definitely into the lazy approach, so thanks for the inspiration! Also loved the line..." plant in it anyway, you're the gardener, you get to make those decisions" - it's easy to forget that 🙂
Great vidieo them roses love them I’m going to do paths I’m jungleizeing my front yard When I get home from work all I want to see is pretty no cars street or people at times my back yard is for the big dogs plus it floods badly and will cost a lot to improve so my babies got there yard I have mine in front take care mike zone 7b 8a. I can do that! It would be a great way to cover an area that’s difficult to mow. Thank you. Now all I have to do is to convince hubby I need to buy some stone. 🌸💚🙃
I’m in love with all and any stone pathway! Well done . You are very good at describing process . Pathways make gardening g easier I learned this late in my gardening journey! So encouraging gardeners to get these in before gardens over grow area! Great job!
Love that Evening Snowbell tree. You've did alot of heavy wrk resently. I'm impressed considering all the rain yr having 2 wrk around. Just wondering. Do u plan on keeping that rose beside yr cement curved bench trimmed back so it doesn't over take yr seating area?
I have a Snowbell and love it. Mine is about 10 years old. Yours looks happy. I have a small garden and did have to l8mb it up a little bit so I could plant underneath. Yours is a slightly different variety I think though. Thank you for the stone pathway help.
That honeysuckle behind you looks AMAZING!!! I hope you end up keeping it. I know you said you had some problems with it last year but it really is just beautiful 😊♥️
So do you lay down landscape fabric before you lay down pavers? You didn’t mention it but I wondered how you keep weeds and grass from growing between. Great look to your yard!
No. They were placed on a no dig bed I created last fall, so grass isn't an issue. If you have grass you would have to deal with it before placing the stones, but I probably would not recommend landscape fabric for that.
Such a great idea! I always thought stone pathways were too involved and expensive. You know, with the base and the sand, and the digging. I love your pathways. They add character and age to your space. Well done!
I’ve never had that problem. They’re not wobbly. It may depend on which stones you select, but if you’re laying them out on a flat surface to begin with there shouldn’t be any wobble. As the mulch breaks down they’ll become buried and more secure.
Your garden looks beautiful. I am just getting roses this year, so I’ll be listening for any tips you may have with their care. Love the pathways - I am going to try wooden log slices for my first paths, since I can get them for free. As always, your work inspires me.
Love the path. Looks like tumbled blue stone 🤗
perfect!!
The roses are established now, and so are the paths. The garden is maturing beautifully.
Good morning 💜🙏❤🙏
Love the look.
Looks great ! Thanks for sharing 😁

A nice new path. And those roses!! I admit to having a soft spot for those orangy peachy ones too, your garden is really in full glory now.
Great suggestion. This winter, I’ll be planning out some new beds, and now I can create the pathways using this method.
My husband and I are laying paths through flower beds this weekend too! Like seeing your method. Thanks.

Thanks so much! ❤️
Agree! Thank you love your videos. I'm going out now to try this way with fine mulch well done.
Your garden is so beautiful 🌹🌹🌹
You have the most gorgeous garden on Utube. I am so envious
Thanks so much for your kind words! ❤️

I had to stop and rewatch from about 01:13 - look at the bird/birds wanting to be in your video lol
Me too 😅😊

Might bust a sweat but an easy-peazy method to introduce a path. Love to see hardscapes in a garden!

Hi Mathew, where did you get the moon gate?
Kinsman. I have a video I did about it shortly after I installed it last year on my channel. It has “moon gate” in the title.
Thank you!

They look stunning Mathew 💕 I have white clover between my paths and I’m off to find some of your grasses 🌸💕🌸
what’s a name of the orange rose?
Such a great idea! I always thought stone pathways were too involved and expensive. You know, with the base and the sand, and the digging. I love your pathways. They add character and age to your space. Well done!
Seems like you would twist your ankle if stones aren’t buried a little bit for stability. At least I have in mine.

Could you just clarify for me your saying..."In a world full of hate be a light" or "like."
