I love this! I've been trying to come up with a cheap or free material for a walkway that I could build around the perimeter of my property a little at a time. Pallets are perfect. I've broken down a number of pallets and I love the idea of cutting all of the nails with a reciprocating saw. Muuuuch faster! I have a suggestion for next time. You could have stacked a bunch of the pallet boards with one side of the ends lined up together and drilled through them all at once, then flipped them and lined up the other end to drill through at once. They would have the holes before you laid them on the ground. I love your UA-cam channel. 🙂

I think it’s absolutely lovely! My husband and I laid a pebble pathway. It was easy to get it leveled given the nature of pebbles, but it was pricey and a lot of heavy lifting. Laura you made this look easy, and it is a really great look. Thank you!

I bought packs of picket fence and sawed the pointed in off then placed over 3/4"x2"x8' rails of wood. After 8 years it was rotting & worn so graduated to 2x4 on 2x6 railing. Everyone loves the wood.

This is beautiful! BUT! Save your back! If you ever do a project like this again, drill multiple boards at a time BEFORE laying them down! Just clamp them together. You had a nice long drill bit. My back has sympathy pains for you.
With that said, It is absolutely gorgeous! 2 thumbs up!

This looks like the area that had a tree arch that had overgrown the pathway. I believe the old pathway was chunks of recycled concrete. This is a huge improvement! And budget friendly. I looks like it will be quite serviceable as a walkway and pretty as well! I'm guessing this is a temporary solution until the budget allows for a more substantial design. My one concern is that there will be weeds in the margins around the boards. But some landscape fabric would address that, and lengthen the life of the path for not too much more time, talent or treasure. Very nice job.

I love soft hard scape like this. If you want to move the path or plant it, it’s easy to do.

Are y'all going to do the garden answer shirts in some tank tops? I live in Southeast Georgia and with our humidity l love tank tops.

Love your channel! Love your work. Please! Use safety glasses. Sunglasses just add to the crap we in the ER have to remove from your eye! No kidding, Benjamin needs a Mom with 2 eyes. Hugs and love!

...and any excuse to bring Benjamin into the video is a bonus to all of us. He needs a shovel and a pile a dirt so he can start early in the “company business”.

This is the 4th time I've watched the installation of your pallet walkway just because I like the before and after look. I will be doing the same to the narrow-shaded side of my home, but I also want to incorporate some full shade plants (hostas & others with color.) I seem to fall in love with all of your projects and now I can sort out which ones might work for me. Thanks Laura!
ps Favorite Videos: are areas with nothing growing or poorly growing then you pull out the grubby mess and suggest some bare bones winter evergreens and then build up to year round interest, even if it takes a full year to show us. Your South garden is a prime example of 'building' something from nothing but many of us would appreciate you again helping a friend with something on a smaller scale with very small yards but who also want an interesting / peaceful / quaint entrance (like your in-laws place.) Again, Thank You LeBoutillier's : D
Happy 2022, Love seeing little Samantha running around & the recent 'Benjamin' tree : )
