We do our best to answer and/or address as many questions and comments as we can. Don't worry, we are going to cover Universal and the other parks hopefully soon.
Yeah, life sucks for us diabetics. haha. But this is what I expected. Cakes, Creams, and Candy are big draws for Disney, I get that. I will bring my Jerky/Meat sticks and pick up the baby-bel cheese from the snack stands. As much as I would love to sample all the foods, I know that is not why I go anymore. Thanks for checking for us though!
The more I dig into this topic, the more I'm learning that I think this is a tough nut to crack no matter who you are. For those who need to limit their sugar intake, it can really suck to not have a wide array of options to choose from. On the other hand, those producing the "sugar free" options are limited by the capabilities substitutes themselves on top of the preferences of their consumers. At the end of the day, though it might not be all that "magical" an answer, the best way to go is to bring along something that accommodates your specific needs. . . whatever the dietary restriction is. Like I said though, I've got some more places to visit and menus to comb through both at WDW and Universal. We'll definitely be checking back.
Thanks for addressing this. Most of everything in the parks is too sweet for me. I love to have some fun drinks, but so many are almost pure syrup--ugh. Worse, for my type 2 husband who has dieted his way off of meds, the selection of treats is a bit of a death trap. And as he doesn't drink, many fun mocktails are off-limits for the same reason. I know it's vacation, and sugar is fun, but a few more options would be helpful for those on restricted diets.
Yeah. . . . so far it seems like there are a very limited number of options BUT we're keeping an eye out! Hopefully we'll find a few more options out there once we finish combing through the parks and menus.
This is so sad, I guess I need to bring my own when going to Disney. For those looking, taking a Choczero (company name) treat may be a great thing. If I have sugar I will be very sick so I guess I have to ask about every food item and bring a lot of my own.
You know, when it comes to special dietary needs, it's always a good idea to bring your own snacks along when traveling and Disney is no exception. While we haven't had a chance to visit all 4 of the parks as of yet looking for sugar free options nor have we combed through all of the menus as of yet, I think it's safe to say that there will be limited options [especially treat options] available.
I am so happy at how much you listen to your viewers. Thank you! I'd love this at Universal as well.

Yay! I love this topic; such a help!
Glad you find it helpful!
