5 yrs journey for me
Any time without children, and trying is hard. Have you got children now, or is it 5 and counting?
Hello Gert and Tessera, very courageous to share your story, it was without doubt not easy to do. I love your openness and honesty.
Your story reminds me of another story.... The story of the woman with the issue of blood. She had spend all her money ( time, energy) for 12 years to get healed, but instead she she got worse. You too tried the medical approach , which caused a lot of health issues for Tessera, emotional stress and without the desired result. Very sad, I feel very sorry for you.
But don't give up! I am convinced that God wants you to have children, because there are many promises in the bible about getting children. I have a few recommendations for you
- Seek the promises of God about getting children .( UA-cam is a great help) . Once you know what God says, believe it, confess it and keep standing on His promises.Use the promises of God in your prayers and remind Him of His Word ( Even though He knows them very well)
- Watch testimonies of people that got children after years of waiting, to build your faith for your situation.
- Read the book: We're pregnant( how to receive God's Cure for Infertility) from Dianne Leman, you can get it at Amazon or Bol.com. She also gives a testimony on UA-cam.
I have applied the same principles ( what does God say about a situation) when our youngest son Lourens was in the hospital in a very critical condition because of an accident that happened at his workplace in February 2020. He fell from a roof top 7 meters down to the ground. The doctors gave us no hope that he would survive and the whole family had to come to the hospital...
But we decided not to believe the doctors report but ONLY to trust God that Lourens would be healed, based on the promises of God about healing. If he would survive he would be handicapped, both mentally and physically they predicted. We rejected these things and trusted God for complete healing and that happened! He is healed! It was supernatural, it was God in His power and faithfulness!!
And because He is the same yesterday today and forever He also wants to answer your prayers.
Faith is to come in agreement with what God says and persevere as long as is needed.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm also glad to hear how God healed your son. I can relate, because I also should have died twice during my leukemia. And all I could do was trust Jesus, and the promise He gave me when I was diagnosed. And now I'm on the road to recovery.
And I hope to have the same faith in the future with getting children. (I say hope, because I've seen you never know your faith until you've gone through hardship).
