- You can rent an entire Hollywood Hills mansion on Airbnb, but it will cost you $12,000 a night. The seven-bedroom, 12-bath villa is one of the first homes listed on Airbnb’s new luxury line, Airbnb Luxe. Located in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in Los Angeles, the home is valued at $28 million, and Insider’s Mikala Jones-Fielder got to take a peek inside.

Honestly, a house like this is great and all.
But the amount of money you'd be paying on property taxes, maintenance, utility bills, etc would make it not worth it at all.
I mean the cost of owning this house would probably exceed the cost of owning a more _normal_ sized house by like 1000x (at least).
If I had that kind of money to buy a house like this, I honestly wouldn't waste it like this.
I'd rather buy a normal sized house for myself and then _maybe_ buy a few other houses and put them up for rent/AirBNB.
I think most folks who buy this can afford the upkeep easily

Meh. It just looks like another vacuous office building / retail space masquerading as a house, with bedrooms, public bathrooms you’d find in a mid-high hotel, and a utilitarian restaurant kitchen. Not much charm or artistry. But at least it wasn’t all black, grayscale and white, white, white, which is the so ubiquitous colorless “decorating” formula these days. The one interesting thing was the shark / stingray pool, and honestly it looks waaaaaay too small and shallow for the number of animals in it, so it’s easy to feel sorry for them. The views are great, but that’s not much to do with the house itself other than the windows and patios are in the right places. The intent of this video may have been as an ad, but overall, I’m with the other commenters, I’d rather spend that money on an interesting (and charming) location for a longer period of time.
