True! Me being a woman I found my own Rockabilly/greaser kitten style from reading lady bloggers who are into the rockabilly sub-culture. And from the ladies who post youtube videos on how they do their hair and the style of vintage or rockabilly fashion they wear. And I found my own unique to my rockabilly/greaser kitten style, myself from trying things out.
I was at a punk rock festival a few years ago and the crowd was very mixed , punks, skinheads, psychobilly and rockabillys Even a few metalheads too. Always great when different subcultures mix.
I'm slowly being obsorbed into this culture, with my current wardrobe and things I have aren't really like my style, even before I knew about greasers I still dressed somewhat like them. Any insight?

Unfortunately I have come to the realization the 50s will never roll around again as a style and as a community. I believe though we are in a era of change and a era of "personal belief" as they say so we should all stick together and instead of pushing the 50s style and culture on people who don't show much interest. If we stick together and greasers and rockabillies we will be much happier being with ya own folks from ya own town. Keep rocken and keep ya head up guys make sure to never let anyone get into your head and remmber your wearing 70 years of history on your back. Luckly I got 3 other cats to chill with around the area. H.A.S.C MUCH LOVE 💛🖤💛🖤
Wear your formal clothes. The only thing different I would do. Maybe is lose the tie and pop the collar. But that's not necessary. Just wear your normal clothes for a fance, and have a good time. Just make sure to request some oldies. Stay cool cat- B
Me being a woman. My favorite old school magazine is Hot Rod Deluxe. And in the magazine they have full on articles about this car show America's Most Beautiful Roadster AKA AMBR. There is also the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals AKA MCACN. There is the Lonestar Round Up, featured in the September issue of Hot Rod Deluxe magazine. And the SEGA AKA Southeast Gassers Association, Gassers are my favorite cars. There is also the newspaper Ledfoot news, LedfootNews.Com and CarShowFinder.org, just pick your city and you'll find some local car shows. HECK, I found a few car shows in my neck of the woods for free. I use to buy Ol' Skool Rodz but its not as good of a car culture magazine any more IMHO. One of the reasons why I truly adore reading Hot Rod Deluxe magazine is the simple fact that there are pages and pages on cars. There is hardly, if ever appearances of a pin up, which is rare when it happens. The cars are the true features and I get to drool over these true hard bodies, and educate myself on real kustom and oldies car culture.
