Madman, you've always been the Greaser UA-camr I can go to for any information about the subculture. You answered those questions perfectly. Thank you for making all your videos and helping those people be who they want to be
This is probably gonna sound kinda dumb, but I honestly had no idea that greasers we’re still a on going thing? I thought it was just a 60’s thing like The Outsiders. It’s so cool to see that greaser culture and things like that exist today!!! Thanks for spreading the good advice too by the way 👍🏻

Thank you for what you do madman, I used to be a greaser in high school and have just gotten back into it. Now 20yrs and loving the culture again. Comin at ya all the way from Australia mate 👊.
Got one for you. I've been watching your videos for a while and have considered gradually changing myself into a greaser. The only thing is that I want to give it a Native American twist. (I'm a quarter blood Seneca Indian, and I plan on doing Iroquois beadwork on my denim jacket.) Would that be questionable in the culture or is that perfectly acceptable? Thank you for being an inspiration/teacher to me about this culture.
i know what ya mean about being an example to others. I used to be the only greaser in my school (mainly cause we had uniforms) but soon enough my friends thought it was cool so they told their friends etc. Now we are fifteen strong.
I’m commenting first to be the first ever! 💀I dig your videos and glad to see you uploaded a new video as soon as possible!!! Now ima go watch this vid and keep up the great work
The Rebel party crews of the 90's were listening to new wave flashbacks and Electronic music in addition to "traditional" Rebel music. But I guess you had to be there to understand.
I get what you are asking. Sure you can wear modern clothing only make sure the cut and style looks like it came straight out of the 1950s-1960s. You can check out what cats wore back then from old Sears Catalogs to see and learn the cut, style, and color of the clothing back then. Plus study and take notes from old movies back then to also get more clothing ideas, and on how the clothes should fit. Plus google images helps too, Desi Arnaz really knew how to rock the 1960s look, from suits to jeans. You'll be able to see this by watching the I Love Lucy tv show. This is what we women do all the time.
I’m sure theres greasers out there that where glasses to pull off the buddy holly look, your right mad man I’m surprised some of these cats are asking these questions they do practically answer themselves
@@emerete5411 - Beatnik could almost be the missing link between greaser and hippy. Although I've always had a lot of greaser sensibilities, I've never had a motorbike, never wanted a motorbike, and crucially never took to greasing my hair. Ayy madman, I got a question for ya, have you ever used JCS Johnny Sheen pomade? I've used it for a little while and it's so much better than Axe, which is what I had before

Yo mad man I'm going to ask you a question that no one has able to ask you this. You've mentioned Greaser gangs before right? Now this I really want to know since I mostly grew up in a hood (Newark, Nj) where you have Crips, Bloods, Grape Street Crips, Latin Kings, MS-13 and ect. Have their been a particular Greaser gang that have ever encountered with a hood gang around where you grew up? I've been wandering this for a long time and no one on your channel ever asked this kind of question.
Haha, through out this whole video I was kept saying, well duh. I kept agreeing with you, and thinking have these cats not watched your videos🤔, old movies, or the iconic greaser film, The Outsiders. Heck, even read the Outsiders, book since in the book it also describes how some of those cats looked and what they wore. Plus searched google images. That is what I did when I a woman started getting into the vintage/rockabilly scene back in early 2000. Plus I randomly stumbled across (early 2000) the ultimate and only vintage website that was around and is still going strong for the past 19 years. TheFedoraLounge.Com This is the website that absolutely answered any vintage question I ever needed answers to. And I did not need to join the website luckily all I had to do was click on the thread links and look around. 5 years later after I found the website in 2004, is when I decided to finally join the Fedora Lounge and could start contributing to the conversation. And continued to research, research, and research some more. To develop what ultimately ended up working for me on my road through my vintage life style journey.😄
Hey madman, how about pomades for People with thinning hair :)? I guess greasers like myself Don't know and I still try to get that perfect one for me but so many options are available but maybe a more experienced cat can help us find the perfect one :). All the best man and keep it greasy.
I don't see why a greaser would listen to rap. It's trash, it isn't wholesome or christian and greasers back then didn't have it so why would any listen to it now? That's the point of being a greaser... to be a rebel.... you generally dig old fashioned ways . You live simple and wholesome ( well as wholesome as possible in the modern world). Greasers today are into vintage things: music , clothes, hairstyles, motorcycles, cars... I'm sure to a greaser from the 1950s though a greaser from today would seem like a space cadet. Just keep it vintage, live simple. Have good morals. Be fair. That's not only a greaser way but a 1950s way and a good christian way.
Dane Logan The only time i really listen to rap is when my siblings or friends play it like in the car or sometimes i’ll check on the rappers i used to listen to but it’s not like im abandoning the rockabilly style
