I’ve watched lots of your videos from- the entire video!! Period.!! My family is relocating to Dallas and I’m scared a bit. Do you ever get home sick or lonely? Just curious?
@@MrsTravelMom Hiii! Thank you so much!🤍 I haven’t gotten home sick really. I sometimes do feel a little lonely only when I’m home not doing anything, but other than that I keep myself really busy. God has you covered! He has not given you the spirit of fear but of power, love, & a sound mind. TRUST HIM!🤍
Most of North Dallas is new. The population is new. The restraunts are new. Dallas is the fastest growing place in the country. The food is probably not good because the people are not from the south. Go south of downtown where all the black people are. You should definitely find good food
I LOVED this video! You were spot on with those Cons lol... You definitely need a car. Here the only ppl riding the bus are usually broke or homeless. I have lived in DFW all my life (except during college) and the more I travel the more I appreciate my city.
Welcome to Dallas, Brookelynn! Loving all the positives you are experiencing in Dallas. Your comments are cracking me up 😅. Keep exploring and trying new restaurants. If you havent had the chance to , go eat Texas BBQ at Terry Blacks or Pecan Lodge in Downtown Dallas.
@brookelynnjessica I forgot to mention. Check out Mike's Chicken (both locations in the city of Dallas) and try their fried chicken - green beans and fries!
Love this! I’m From Baltimore too lol & the struggle for me was finding black ppl lol. Going back for a solo trip in September. Hopefully I can find places. Any suggested areas?
Hi girllll! Are you going to the women evolve conference?! I know that’s in September lol.. I love this Thai place called “Thai orchard” in Addison for food. They have a lot of classes - cake decorating, cooking classes, and making your own lip glosses. I’m not a “party” girl so I don’t know of the club spots. But I hope it helps with what I do know lol. I hope you subscribed for more!🫶🏾
When you said “dew” for do, I sad she’s definitely from B’more,. Lived all over DC and PG county and went to Howard. Your accent makes me miss the DMV. Good luck!!! From Houston ( although I haven’t lived there in years). You sound like the type of that will do well Dallas is conservative compared to Houston. In Houston they are turned up 7 days a week with after-after clubs. Dallas is more sophisticated and calm. Calm is Good. Houston is like one big HBCU AND ABOUT EATING OUT AND DAY PATIES AND BEACH PARTIES. It can get addicting. You made a good choice, definitely if you’re in corporate , finance and communication. Houston is more like medical, engineering, life sciences, NASA, oil/energy and aerospace. I’m a guy and don’t usually watch these but it caught my eye and I thought about reminiscing. Be safe and prosperous! The food in Houston will do it for you . It’s more diverse. There are 600 black owned restaurants in the Houston area( more like Atlanta)Creole, Soul food, Jamaican , Nigerian, Indian, 17:32 Middle Eastern ,Vietnamese., Latin etc etc. There is excellent black theatre( the Ensemble Theatre)
I loved your video. Everything that you said has been my experience especially on my spiritual journey. I love coming in contact with people who love God just as much as I do. It’s so much to do sometimes it can feel overwhelming but it’s always fun. I miss good seafood especially blue crabs but I found a few places to buy them live and if you looking for a decent Jamaican spot it’s one in Arlington TX called Jamaican gates it’s a sold 7/10 and very affordable.

Hmmm...I heard different from natives. I am thinking about moving to Addison & was told it's 20 mins to everything since it's in the middle. I am from the Houston suburbs...
I like addition. It really depends on where you are going - everything is not going to be 20 minutes, I can assure you. The traffic sometimes alone adds an additional 20 minutes to your commute. Now without traffic, maybe it’s different but I’d still be cautious because anything can be far. I do like Addison though & it is close to Frisco, Duncanville, Grand Prairie, and other areas too! I hope you’re all subscribed for more🫶🏾
This video came just in time girl!! I'm from MD too and was thinking to move to TX next year when my lease is up. There's only one thing I'm a little nervous about -- those huge flying roaches. I keep hearing that's a big thing down there.😢😓 Do you get them in your home?? New sub here!!! ☺️
